Even though Bella is flexible, Maria always lets me know if she is running even the slightest bit late at the beginning of our agreed window of time. She even brings any packages in. So thoughtful! Thanks Maria!

About: I’ve cared for my own dogs and cats for over 30 years and have also fostered kittens for the animal shelter that I later adopted. I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year and am otherwise a DoorDash driver. I would work my schedule around what you need. My cats stay indoors and my 2 dogs love hanging out on our front enclosed porch or lounging inside. They all get along quite well.

About: For the past two years, I have been the go-to pet and house sitter for my family members whenever they travel. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes—from small, high-energy pups to large, gentle retrievers. Because I often care for family pets, I treat every dog with the deep affection, patience, and high level of responsibility that a true family member deserves. In addition to standard pet care, I am experienced with overnight house sitting. I understand how important it is to respect a home, keep things clean, and maintain a secure environment so you can travel with a peace of mind. Whether your dog requires long, active walks to burn off energy, strict adherence to a feeding schedule, or just a calm, comforting presence to be with, I adapt quickly to whatever routine keeps them happiest. I know how tough it can be to leave your pets behind, so I always make it a priority to send regular updates and cute photo check-ins! As a college student, my availability is largely open and highly flexible, especially during the summer months. I am fully available on weekends and can easily adapt to your pet's specific routine. Because my schedule allows for flexibility, I can provide plenty of dedicated playtime, consistent attention, and reliable care for your pup throughout the week and on short notice! Safety is my priority when caring for pets. In a client’s home, I ensure all doors and gates remain securely locked, closely follow all feeding and care instructions, and maintain a clean, and safe place. I keep a watchful eye during outdoor walks to ensure your pup stays safe and comfortable. Additionally, I am a proactive communicator and will always provide you with regular text updates and photos so you can have total peace of mind while you are away.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about four years, both for people I know and through shelter work. I’ve walked shelter dogs for “dog day out” trips, which helped me get comfortable with different breeds and energy levels. I’ve also fostered dogs overnight. On top of that, I’ve helped friends and family with walking, feeding and basic care. I’m patient, calm, and I always try to match what each dog needs whether it’s play time, slow walks, or just company. I treat every pet like my own and stay reliable with communication and updates. I work part-time, so I have a pretty open schedule during the week and most daytime hours. My weekends aren’t always open, but Sunday afternoons usually work well for me. I try to stay flexible, and I’m good at planning around what your pet needs. I take my time with pets and make sure they feel safe around me. When I’m in your home, I stick to your normal routine so your dog doesn’t get thrown off. I keep things calm, clean, and make sure they’re watched at all times, especially on walks. I’m patient with shy dogs and gentle with energetic ones. Overall, I just want your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re gone.

About: My main priority is comfort and gaining trust from your furry friend so they can have as minimal stress as possible while you are away. I can accommodate any needs or routines your best friend might require (including: kennel, hygiene, oral medicine, exercise, and/or specific eating routines.) Born into a family of pets, I grew up alongside a loving black lab and and seven cats until I was about twelve years old. Around that time I started volunteering at my hometown’s Pitbull Rescue Center & I now have three sweet pit bulls, one with a bit of attitude so I have experience with extreme timidness and big dogs. Part of the training journey with all of them, from potty training to leash/order training. I do have experience with giving scheduled, oral medication as well as basic Canine First Aid. Not much makes me happier than animals do! I currently work part time so I can be away for up to 6 hours at a time. I am available for walks, sittings, and check-ins! Just message me for my availability:) I won’t be doing any sitting or care out of my own home so, I do complimentary Meet & Greets at a park you’re comfortable with or at your home, preferably, as the dogs will benefit more from an in-home meeting so they feel in control:)

When I dog sit for friends or family, I set up a spot for them in my room and my pup in a separate room so they can have their space. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. My part-time library job offers me a lot of flexibility, leaving me the opportunity to do more of what I love. Traveling, exploring new areas, experiencing new food, going to music events, working out/walking, spiritual activities, and creative endeavors have a place in my life because of this balance. Of course that also includes one of the most rewarding ways to punctuate my life: house and pet sitting! I base my care around the individual needs of the pet and owner! Pets LOVE their routines, so I typically live in harmony with their modus operandi, on balance with my part-time engagements.

About: Hi! I’m Juliana (Jules), the owner of Jules & Paws Pet Care. I began pet sitting professionally in 2024 and have hands-on experience with walks, feeding routines, playtime, oral medications, and caring for shy or anxious pets. I always aim to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I plan my routine around each pet in my care so their normal schedule is always maintained. Whether your pet needs morning, midday, evening, or overnight care, I make sure they’re never rushed and always feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn their routine, behavior, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
