About: I’ve cared for my own dogs and cats for over 30 years and have also fostered kittens for the animal shelter that I later adopted. I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year and am otherwise a DoorDash driver. I would work my schedule around what you need. My cats stay indoors and my 2 dogs love hanging out on our front enclosed porch or lounging inside. They all get along quite well.

About: Lifelong dog owner with experience from puppies to seniors. Caring, reliable, and patient! Trusted by family, friends, and neighbors. Skilled in walks, play, and gentle, attentive care 🥰 Hi there! I am currently a student studying Acting & Musical Theatre at PCPA Conservatory, come see our shows! 🎭 My best walk times would be in the early morning and 4:30 - 6:30pm Tuesday - Friday; however, this varies weekly so I often have more time than this! Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays I am normally completely free! I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’m great at picking up on their little signals and quirks. Additionally, I adjust each walk to match every dog’s energy! ☀️ I keep things safe and comfy for every doggie such as checking the ground temperature, making sure they stay hydrated, and letting them enjoy plenty of sniff breaks. Whether it’s a short stroll or a long adventure, I bring happy energy, lots of love, and plenty of tail wags along the way. 🐾💛

About: Hello Families! I love all animals and ready to help care for yours while you're away! I grew up on a farm with my parents, and ever since I can remember, we've always had animals around. They ran a non-profit animal rescue for many years, and this taught me much about the responsibilities of caring for an animal. I was also able to learn about different breeds and their temperaments. Although they are nice to play with, we were also taught that with the pleasurable part, also comes the dirty work. I've cleaned much animal poop in my life! My sister and I have ridden horses since we were young, we've volunteered at different animal shelters, and we have brought injured animals into our home to take care of them. I recently graduated and received my Bachelor's degree. I'm continuing my education, which makes me available to go to your home during weekday evenings or weekends (all day). I also offer boarding at my home (24/7), which is safe and secure. I have several yards for your pet(s) to play and exercise. I can feed, administer medication if needed, exercise, clean litter-boxes, and give your pet(s) the love and attention they deserve! I understand your pet(s) have become part of your family, and I will take care of them as if they were my own! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I hope to hear from you soon! Thank you, Mia

Whether it’s a leisurely walk, playtime, or just comforting company, I’m here to provide consistent, loving care that keeps tails wagging and hearts happy. Whether your pet needs mid-day playtime, a quiet companion, or a full day of adventures, I’ve got the flexibility to make it happen. My schedule is open and stress-free—just like your pet’s time with me will be! Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. My part-time library job offers me a lot of flexibility, leaving me the opportunity to do more of what I love. Traveling, exploring new areas, experiencing new food, going to music events, working out/walking, spiritual activities, and creative endeavors have a place in my life because of this balance. Of course that also includes one of the most rewarding ways to punctuate my life: house and pet sitting! I base my care around the individual needs of the pet and owner! Pets LOVE their routines, so I typically live in harmony with their modus operandi, on balance with my part-time engagements.

About: Grew up on a ranch or around animals, giving you lifelong experience with all types of animals, not just dogs. Experience with both small and large breeds, including high-energy or working dogs. I currently work part-time with the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets. My role with Parks and Rec has taught me responsibility, attentiveness, and the importance of creating safe, engaging environments—all of which carry over into how I care for the dogs I sit. Whether your pup needs active playtime or calm companionship, I’m available and excited to provide loving, dependable care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect and care I would my own. I stick to your pet’s usual schedule and routine to reduce stress and make them feel at home!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Sisquoc. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Sisquoc.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sisquoc. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
