About: I have decidedly taken the entire summer off from a corporate job to recalibrate myself. With that being said, my time has opened up to provide the sweetest care for your pets. I have my own two dogs that I've loved and raised for the last 13 years. I have been with them through their puppy training, medical needs as they've gotten older, and become versed with the emotional labor that comes with owning aging pets. I am also an amateur photographer so you will absolutely be receiving a great number of photos of your pets while under my care. About: Hello my name is Karen, I’m happy to help you with pet care arrangements. I myself have relied on Rover for times I needed to be away. I understand what pet parents may need and understand that sometimes this role needs to go above and beyond to make sure your pets are being cared for. Overall, I always had a pet in the home from childhood to adulthood. Giving me over 25 years of pet care responsibilities. Currently I am a pet parent to a German Shepherd, Dax, and black house cat, Kenny. I am observant of pet body language and in-tune with pet needs. My pets have ranged from outdoor kitties to leash reactive large breeds. I have used oral medicine and topical medicine, and am comfortable with pets post-surgery as well. Being away from your pet is difficult, I’m here to ease that worry for you. Again, I’m happy to help you for brief visits or extended periods. My schedule is wide open, unless otherwise stated in the calendar. My homebase is in Santa Maria, but I am willing to travel and service areas as far as Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, and the places between. Including Solvang, Buellton, and Santa Ynez. If you do have questions about something more specific or time frames that are more specific to your needs please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help you and make something work. I am cautious and aware, making sure that pets are safe at all times, I like to be preventative and think one step ahead. During walks, I am aware of my surroundings, if you have a specific route you walk I can stick to that route. Communication is key, making sure I am informed of anything that you need me to take note of. I’m always respectful of property and boundaries.

About: Hello! My name is Calie! I am currently a Veterinary student and I have a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. I have been caring for and working with animals for about 13 years now! I have experienced with many species! From horses to hamsters, you name it! While I was in highschool and while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a veterinary assistant. I have very well rounded knowledge about veterinary medicine and know how to keep your pet as happy and as safe as possible! I am very comfortable giving medications orally or by injection while you are out of town if you happen to have an ill or senior pet. I would love to care for your pet and give you a great piece of mind that your babies are safe! Please reach out to me! About: I am a very nice, loving and caring pet owner of two cats and one dog. My fur babies are my life and I would treat your fur babies with the same love and care as I do to my own. I have owned my own animals for 4 years and I have had family pets in my family since I was born. My favorite thing to do is play with my animals. I run and walk with my German Shepherd around our huge yard. I live on a big dirt land of property so there is plenty of room for playing. I also love to snuggle with my animals. I really enjoy when they lay by me. All three of my animals are friendly and loving. I am a recently single stay at home mom trying to make some extra income for my kids and I that doesn’t involve them being away from me which give me plenty of time with your fur babies! I have a fenced in big back yard and a dog who loves company and two kids who absolutely adore animals! My children would also give a lot of love and attention!

About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. My part-time library job offers me a lot of flexibility, leaving me the opportunity to do more of what I love. Traveling, exploring new areas, experiencing new food, going to music events, working out/walking, spiritual activities, and creative endeavors have a place in my life because of this balance. Of course that also includes one of the most rewarding ways to punctuate my life: house and pet sitting! I base my care around the individual needs of the pet and owner! Pets LOVE their routines, so I typically live in harmony with their modus operandi, on balance with my part-time engagements.

About: Growing up i’ve always loved dogs and cats. i have a special place in my heart for animals. i used to take care of neighbors pets and family pets, which included training, bathing, walks and of course lots of quality time! About: I’ve taken care of my grandparents white boxer for the past 6 years. She got diagnosed with being epilepsy and many other things. So I have plenty of experience with giving meds to dogs and so on. I’ve grown up with dogs and I have been training them; from potty training to all the tricks you can think of. I currently work 3 12 hour shifts from 0600 to 1830so I have 4 days out of the week free! My schedule constantly changes but I’m free most of the week. I do have one dog who is a German Shepard and Husky mix. She is still a puppy but loves playing with other dogs and is quite the people person who will love to lick you to death.

Your furry friend's needs come first and I strive to make sure everyone feels secure and happy in every visit. I am able to do overnights any day of the week. My schedule is always flexible and I will always find a way to make sure your needs are being met! For drop in visits and walks, I have more flexibility on weekends. On Mondays-Fridays, I am able to do visits after 4:30pm. With any new animal, I start off slow and let them have the opportunity to sniff or be near me without feeling pressured. I analyze the animal's behavior and pick up any cues on how they're feeling before proceeding. Building trust is very important to me and I like to build connections with the animals!
