“Monique was wonderful! We have engaged her as our sitter twice now: once for an overnight stay and once for a 13 day vacation! Monique kept in contact with us every day and sent pictures. Our girls are very used to their normal daily routine but they seemed to adapt to Monique wonderfully! A very telling moment for me was when we got back from vacation and I picked the dogs up. Got the dogs in the car and they were very glad to see me but as soon as they realized we were leaving without Monique they were like: Wait! You forgot her! About: I've volunteered before at Santa Maria Humane Society. I've done drop in visits for family before. I own and care for my dog, Tuwanine, for 5 years going on 6. I'm currently a student at WCUI for ultrasound. I started my externship in Templeton, CA. I'm required to complete 40 hours a week. I work Monday- Thursday from 6-4pm. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit nervous- but Lauren and her family made it such a positive, comforting experience. Lauren was incredibly communicative throughout the planning, and even during Duke's stay. Her family has a genuine love for animals- I can't even begin to overstate it. One of the sweetest moments? I came to pick Duke up from his sleepover and, as we were walking out the door, Duke actually walked back in just to say goodbye to the kids. That's how we knew he felt safe and happy there. About: I am a very nice, loving and caring pet owner of two cats and one dog. My fur babies are my life and I would treat your fur babies with the same love and care as I do to my own. I have owned my own animals for 4 years and I have had family pets in my family since I was born. My favorite thing to do is play with my animals. I run and walk with my German Shepherd around our huge yard. I live on a big dirt land of property so there is plenty of room for playing. I also love to snuggle with my animals. I really enjoy when they lay by me. All three of my animals are friendly and loving. I am a recently single stay at home mom trying to make some extra income for my kids and I that doesn’t involve them being away from me which give me plenty of time with your fur babies! I have a fenced in big back yard and a dog who loves company and two kids who absolutely adore animals! My children would also give a lot of love and attention!

About: Hi, my name is Landon, I'm from Salinas, California and it's my second year living in Eugene. I attended the university last year and now I'm taking a gap year to get my financials in order, in state tuition, etc. so I can finish my degree. My girlfriend and I have been together 3 years and her parents have 17 and 20 years of experience in the animal field. Her dad is one of the head animal control officers for Monterey County (where we're from) and has taught both of us so much about dogs and cats. Whether it be training methods, foods that are better than others, how to recognize certain behavioral habits, or any problem we come to him with, her dad has taught us how to truly take the best care of a dog. If I were to be accepted to take care of your pet, I would use all of my tools and knowledge and my whole heart to show your furry kid love. Currently, I'm looking for any job so my schedule is wide open! Caring for your pet will be at the top of my list as soon as I hear I can take care of them. So I unfortunately would not be able to care for pets at my house for extended periods of time, as my place doesn't allow ownership of pets, but one night wouldn't hurt at all. Any pet I encounter I treat as if it were my own, and with that comes smothering them with love, and caring to meet their needs as a pup while to a certain degree, spoiling them!
