About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. My part-time library job offers me a lot of flexibility, leaving me the opportunity to do more of what I love. Feel free to read my reviews :) I'm currently not working so I would have plenty of time to play with your baby. I only work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Weekends are considered. If your dog needs to be inside there kennel I will assure that they are by the end of my shift. Safety, and trust always comes first.
About: Hey there! I am a very outgoing and adventurous person!! I've worked with dogs all my life and grown up around them. Every dog I've met I have had a special connection! I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have so much love to give and Id love to give it to your pup! I love going on walks and to the beach. If you'd like I'll take your pup along! I love taking pictures and videos so if you like updates you will know for sure I can send them to you all the time!! I've been around all old and young dogs and all ages in between! Your pup is in the greatest hands with me! I have worked at boarding and daycare places and have also been a groomer! I have no pets of my own at the moment and have a very open schedule! I work nights only 1-2 days days a week I will make sure all gates and doors that need to be closed are closed. I will triple check everything before I head home. This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit nervous- but Lauren and her family made it such a positive, comforting experience. Lauren was incredibly communicative throughout the planning, and even during Duke's stay. Her family has a genuine love for animals- I can't even begin to overstate it. One of the sweetest moments? I came to pick Duke up from his sleepover and, as we were walking out the door, Duke actually walked back in just to say goodbye to the kids. That's how we knew he felt safe and happy there. We already have plans for Duke to have future sleepovers with Lauren and her family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter. “Niccola was absolutely amazing and really accommodating. She made it easy for us to drop off and pick up our dog and kept us updated on how he was doing with photos. It is not easy to find someone who is comfortable with a 185 pound St. Bernhrad but she didn't even hesitate. Her comfort with him made us feel really comfortable leaving our baby. This is the first time we have picked him up after boarding where he wasn't "mad" at us and would be in the same room as us after picking him up. About: Available for dog walking and babysitting! I don’t have any pets myself so okay with dogs/cats that don’t like or can’t be around other animals 👍🏻 Available in Grover Beach for walking, boarding, house check ins, any pet related needs! I set my own work schedule, don’t tend to be away from home for more then a couple hours at a time, and I live with my grandmother who loves to sit and talk animals so they’ll get plenty of love and attention! I live in condo near a dog park, No children or pets live in the house, no toxic houseplants or choking hazards. Can board overnight
