“Stephanie is outstanding in caring for my dogs. They go for walks, car rides and are loved and cared for. In fact the dogs (which had not seen Stephanie in months) ran up to the house when we delivered them. We are overwhelmingly pleased with her services.”

“Monique was great! We scheduled last minute for an out of town trip and there were no issues, Monique happily accepted our request. She was such welcoming and kind person. We received updates with pictures of our pup and he seemed like he was right at home. Such a good experience with Monique and we’d definitely request her again.”

“Kyle and Sara are perfect for our Poppy. They are very loving, calm, and truly care for our dog when she is there. I love the updates and great photos. Poppy feels no stress when she’s with them🧡”

“Marin is an amazing sitter, I always book with her when I have to leave town and she send many pics and updates regarding my fur baby. I highly recommend booking Marin for your pet!”

“Andruw helped us tremendously when our initial rover cancelled the DAY before we left. He was super helpful and communicated with us very well! Would definitely recommend booking with Andruw, we will use his services again!”

About: Hi my name is Colleen! I have been around and loved animals my whole life. I offer full-time care and live on Vandenberg SFB. For the past three years, I managed a veterinary practice. Because of this background, I am very familiar with the diverse medical and behavioral needs of dogs, cats, and horses. I am a huge dog and cat lover - at home, I have a German Shepherd and a Goldendoodle who get daily walks and lots of cuddles. Because I work from home full-time, any animal in my care will receive constant attention and supervision. I am also a very active person, so you can count on your pets getting plenty of playtime and exercise. My home is completely child-free, and visiting pets are absolutely allowed on the furniture to make them feel right at home. Additionally, I live on the military base, making it easy and convenient for me to accommodate both on-base and off-base families. Whether your pet needs high-energy play or have specialized medical needs, they will be safe, active, and loved here! Animal care is a central part of my life! I work a flexible remote schedule that allows me to be fully available for full-time care. My weekends are available and open, meaning I can dedicate plenty of quality time, structured play, and consistent attention to boarding or housesitting your pets, no matter the day of the week 🐾❤️ With a professional background in veterinary medicine and animal handling, safety is always my top priority ❤️ My home features a fully fenced yard where your dog can safely play. I’m highly experienced in reading animal behavior, maintaining clean and secure environments, administering medications if needed, and keeping a watchful eye to ensure your pet is happy and relaxed.
“Danielle was great with both of our dogs, and patient with Dudley’s anxiety at the beginning of his stay. Reassuring with updates and photos. One way to clearly tell that it went well is how easily they settled back in immediately at home.”

“Lauren was wonderful with my dog, Charlie - she accommodated his special needs and was loving and caring with him. I always know he has had good care when I come home and he’s excited to see me but is also calm and centered. Thank you, Lauren!”

“Sunny was treated like an extension of Alicia’s family and was so well-loved while we were away. It was so reassuring knowing he was in a loving home and it was like he had his own vacation while we were away. Great family and perfect yard for a dog - highly recommend!”

“Adrienne is a wonderful human being. She is also a responsible, caring, affectionate and communicative sitter. I highly recommend her if you want peace of mind! We had a great experience with her caring for our fur baby. She took him on walks and even to the beach.”

“Our furs are 8 yrs old and have only been overnight with family. Finding Rover and Karrie S has been a blessing we have been wishing for. I knew immediately at our meet and greet that Karrie was for us. Her ultimate care and love and knowledge of dogs was so calming. We know when the furs are with her in her home, we can enjoy ourselves without worry. Side note, we love interacting with Karrie on the human level and consider her a friend.”

About: Hello, Jen here 👋 a life long lover of all animals, passionate about providing spaces and enriching experiences that make every day your pet’s best day ever! Whether they’re rambunctious, reserved, or have a little hitch in their get-along you can rest assured that I’ll meet your fur baby exactly where they’re at. ———————————————————————————————————— The Home: Located in the heart of AG near trails and open space, our house features a fully fenced backyard, a full-sun balcony for the sunbathers/lovers and plenty of additional spots on our half acre property for on-leash sniffing. ✅ Pet-safe environment ✅ Never alone ✅ Well versed in senior care requirements and administrating meds *** Disclaimer: I do not work from home, but my partner does *** The Home Team: 👭 Julie: My partner, a fellow animal lover with a knack for establishing trust with even the most timid of pups. 🐶 Sutter: Our sweet natured, well-mannered 13 year old vizsla. 🐱 Ursa: Our equally as sweet, but less well mannered 2 year old cat. ———————————————————————————————————— Have a skill you want worked on while you’re away? Say no more. While not certified (yet), I have over a decade of experience in the specialized training fields of rally obedience, nose work, and agility; I’m happy to provide board and train services. ———————————————————————————————————— BOARDING REQUIREMENTS: Because we have a resident cat and a senior dog, all guests must be cat-friendly, non-aggressive, and comfortable sharing space with other animals. We require a meet-and-greet prior to booking. Please note that we cannot accommodate puppies, aggressive dogs, or pets that become aggressive during medication administration. To ensure every guest receives personalized attention, I have a maximum of two dogs at a time (from the same family only). Boarding / Daycare: There will be someone (my spouse, me, or both of us) with your dog the majority of the time, day and night. If we are both out running errands, we are often back within a few hours and usually within an hour, but if there are any special needs for your pup, let me know and I can be sure to let you know if we can accommodate, such as having someone with your pup at all times. Our schedules are very flexible, so feel free to ask based on your preferences. While I work during the day from an office, my spouse works from home and therefore is available to keep your pup company, let them go out to the bathroom, and if needed, is available for short play times. We will take your dog on daily walks and/or outdoor playtime and just let us know your dog's regular routine and we can try best to accommodate. In addition to play time, we will give your dog time to rest and they will get plenty of affection. Depending on the dog, we can also head out for a trail walk or a trip to a fenced dog park for a good run/play. You can expect photo and video updates daily (frequency based on your preference) so you can see how your pup is doing. Dog Walking: I'll pick up your dog and take them on a walk tailored to their energy and needs — neighborhood walks, hiking trails, or a fenced park for off-leash time if that's the right fit. Drop-In Visits: I'll stop by your home to visit with your pet(s), play with them, let dogs out to the bathroom, give them food and water and spend quality time with them. I can also care for other pets in the home, such as reptiles, fish, or plant, depending on what's required, an additional pet charge may apply. I have a fenced yard for potty breaks or sniffing the fresh air or enjoying the sunshine and a larger, unfenced area that I can take your pup(s) on short, leashed jaunts to sniff around. I can crate your dog, if ever needed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Maria
Avril was the best Rover sitter we have used yet. She was very communicative and provider actual updates on our pup daily, instead of just generic updates. Poppy came back happy instead of stressed (like past sits with other sitters). Thanks for caring for our pup and working well with her through her separation anxiety issues!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
