“Monique is awesome taking care of my Dog. She is very flexible about the timing and she sends picture update every hour. I will definitely leave my dog again with Monique.”

“Krystal and her family are absolutely amazing! My fur baby loves staying there. This was our second stay and I will never go to anyone else for a sitter! Cleo always has a blast when she’s there. They went hiking, to the beach and lots of walks. I also really appreciated the fact that Krystal sent lots of pictures and videos, while I was gone.”

“Kyle and Sara are wonderful with our guy Petey! He stayed with them 8 days this time and we got updates and pictures everyday on what he was doing! There is no one we would rather watch him!”

“Lauren and her family are nothing short of fantastic. They watched our 14 year old pupper, Duke, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit nervous- but Lauren and her family made it such a positive, comforting experience. Lauren was incredibly communicative throughout the planning, and even during Duke's stay. Her family has a genuine love for animals- I can't even begin to overstate it. One of the sweetest moments? I came to pick Duke up from his sleepover and, as we were walking out the door, Duke actually walked back in just to say goodbye to the kids. That's how we knew he felt safe and happy there. We already have plans for Duke to have future sleepovers with Lauren and her family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter. She and her family are absolute gems.”

“Miranda was easy and great to work with. Our pup seemed to have a great time and enjoyed playing with her dog. Located in a safe neighborhood and home that is pet friendly. She was also flexible with drop off times. Would definitely recommend for any pet sitting/boarding needs!”

“Danielle provided excellent care for my senior corgi with disabilities. She made sure he was comfortable and was very attentive. He’s a lot of work and she went above and beyond!”

“Maddison was absolutely incredible! She’s quite the dog whisperer. It was like magic watching her effortlessly calm and handle our anxious and excited dogs. Our dogs loved her and clearly had such a great time that they almost didn’t want to leave 😂 She was super nice, friendly and communicative. It was such a relief knowing our dogs were in such great hands ☺️”

“Andruw helped us tremendously when our initial rover cancelled the DAY before we left. He was super helpful and communicated with us very well! Would definitely recommend booking with Andruw, we will use his services again!”

About: Hi, my name is Landon, I'm from Salinas, California and it's my second year living in Eugene. I attended the university last year and now I'm taking a gap year to get my financials in order, in state tuition, etc. so I can finish my degree. My girlfriend and I have been together 3 years and her parents have 17 and 20 years of experience in the animal field. Her dad is one of the head animal control officers for Monterey County (where we're from) and has taught both of us so much about dogs and cats. Whether it be training methods, foods that are better than others, how to recognize certain behavioral habits, or any problem we come to him with, her dad has taught us how to truly take the best care of a dog. If I were to be accepted to take care of your pet, I would use all of my tools and knowledge and my whole heart to show your furry kid love. Currently, I'm looking for any job so my schedule is wide open! Caring for your pet will be at the top of my list as soon as I hear I can take care of them. So I unfortunately would not be able to care for pets at my house for extended periods of time, as my place doesn't allow ownership of pets, but one night wouldn't hurt at all. Any pet I encounter I treat as if it were my own, and with that comes smothering them with love, and caring to meet their needs as a pup while to a certain degree, spoiling them!
About: Hi my name is Colleen! I have been around and loved animals my whole life. I offer full-time care and live on Vandenberg SFB. For the past three years, I managed a veterinary practice. Because of this background, I am incredibly familiar with the diverse medical and behavioral needs of dogs, cats, and horses alike! I am a massive dog and cat lover. At home, I have a German Shepherd and a Goldendoodle who get daily walks and endless love. Because I work from home full-time, any animal in my care will receive constant attention and supervision. I am also a very active person, so you can count on your pets getting plenty of playtime and exercise. My home is completely child-free, and visiting pets are absolutely allowed on the furniture to make them feel right at home. Additionally, I live on the military base, making it easy and convenient for me to accommodate both on-base and off-base families. Whether your pet needs high-energy play or have specialized medical needs, they will be safe, active, and loved here! Animal care is a central part of my life! I work a flexible remote schedule that allows me to be fully available for full-time care. My weekends are available and open, meaning I can dedicate plenty of quality time, structured play, and consistent attention to boarding or housesitting your pets, no matter the day of the week 🐾❤️ With a professional background in veterinary medicine and animal handling, safety is always my top priority ❤️ My home features a fully fenced yard where your dog can safely play. I’m highly experienced in reading animal behavior, maintaining clean and secure environments, administering medications if needed, and keeping a watchful eye to ensure your pet is happy and relaxed.
“Note, this was my first time using Rover and I am so appreciative of Niccola for making it a great experience. We had a last-minute need for a sitter and contacted Niccola two days prior to drop off. She responded shortly after stating that there was availability. She was able to respond to the few questions I had and made the drop-off seamless. She sent us a picture night one of our pup Daisy having fun with her other dogs. Pick up was also smooth as the communication was easy and natural. Daisy came back dirty (Niccola's backyard is kind of sandy/dirt (a dog's heaven)) and dead tired. I would call that a success! Thanks Niccola for taking care of our baby girl!”

“Katie was so wonderful! My dog came home relaxed and tired from all the fun. I can tell she was properly cared for and given a lot of attention and exercise. I was so grateful for Katie’s kindness and understanding of my special, quirky dog.”

“Karrie was so loving and accommodating to my nervous pup. I loved receiving pictures and updates. Daily visits to the park were wonderful for my pup to try out socializing. Thanks so much Karrie!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Maria
This was the first time ever leaving Annie. I had anxiety which I am sure I pass onto Annie. Annie displayed some poor behavior, very unlike her early on, but Marin recognized this as anxiety and immediately put into place security and affection, investing an abundance of one on one time with Annie, walks, playing with family and just feeling included. Marin set comfortable boundaries with Annie that she was accustomed to and really put Annie at ease. Marin went above and beyond to help Annie feel comfortable, secure and loved. Marin kept us informed regularly with pictures and texts. Huge thumbs up review of Marin!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
