About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds from my personal dogs to animal shelter dogs for about 6 years. At the animal shelter I volunteered for both Orcutt and Santa Maria and I was there for about 2 years. I now work at the Santa Barbara Humane where I handle several different temperaments of animals and about to hit my 2 years working there. I’m currently working 4 10’s where i get 3 days of to enjoy the day with your babies. On the days that i do work i’m able to do drop ins during my lunch and after work at around 6. About: I grew up with a cat in the home and got my first cat when I was 19 and living in Munich, Germany. My husband and his friend kept calling the kitten George while I was trying to come up with her name. Needless to she started answering to George. George and I made the long flight back to the states with her in a carrier under my seat. George and I had 20 wonderful years together. Since then, I have always had a least one cat in my home. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. About: I have grown up with dogs and have dog sat for neighbors since middle school! I have taken care of many dogs with different dietary needs and have been able to make sure that each dog got their right medications and food. I always love be able to give dogs attention and hang out with them whether that's through going on walks, playing in the house, or just hanging out! I am currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty open and flexible! I am typically available weekends and weekdays, just depends on the hours but I do not have a set schedule. No matter the schedule I am willing to manage pet care at all hours of the day! I can easily crate your dog if needed and make sure I follow the pet's itinerary / diet thoroughly! While dog walking I stay observant of my surroundings to make sure your dog has a fun and safe walk!
About: I’ve taken care of every animal that i’ve ever met! I grew up with 7 dogs and 6 cats! All of our family friends trusted me to stay and watch their loved ones when they couldn’t take them on vacation with them. I was on bathing and feeding duty but really just listened to what the animal wants whether it’s all the pets in the world, a lap to sit on, a friend to play with, or to silently judge from the other side of the room either way both of us are enjoying each others company. I’m currently a part time college student! My schedule is very flexible, late hours, nights, weekends, holidays i’m available to meet your needs and your cats. My two girls Annie and Daisy both sleep on top of me every night. They have running water fountains a litter robot in the room they go in when supervised and a regular robot for unsupervised time. My cats have daily routines built. For example they know what rooms to be in and when! They also have access to their catio at peak sun time!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds from my personal dogs to animal shelter dogs for about 6 years. At the animal shelter I volunteered for both Orcutt and Santa Maria and I was there for about 2 years. I now work at the Santa Barbara Humane where I handle several different temperaments of animals and about to hit my 2 years working there. I’m currently working 4 10’s where i get 3 days of to enjoy the day with your babies. On the days that i do work i’m able to do drop ins during my lunch and after work at around 6. Dog Walking: I'll pick up your dog and take them on a walk tailored to their energy and needs — neighborhood walks, hiking trails, or a fenced park for off-leash time if that's the right fit. Drop-In Visits: I'll stop by your home to visit with your pet(s), play with them, let dogs out to the bathroom, give them food and water and spend quality time with them. I can also care for other pets in the home, such as reptiles, fish, or plant, depending on what's required, an additional pet charge may apply. I have a fenced yard for potty breaks or sniffing the fresh air or enjoying the sunshine and a larger, unfenced area that I can take your pup(s) on short, leashed jaunts to sniff around. I can crate your dog, if ever needed.
