“Alison was wonderful and patient with my doggies. She offered to come meet us before the weekend to get to know the dogs and their needs. I was able to show her how to administer meds and meals. On the days of booking, Alison followed all instructions and my pups were relaxed and happy when I retuned at the end of each day. It can be very hard to find help as a single person in a new town with senior dogs! Alison was wondeful and I would definitely book her again. I highly recommend.”

About: I have had a pup of my own since he was 5 months. He’s given me lots of experience on how to house train and how to teach a dog manners amongst all the other shenanigans that comes with owning a dog. I’m also a part-time caregiver for seniors in their homes. I help assist them with daily tasks such as chores, cooking, as well as toileting and assistance with standing/sitting. This job has taught me patience and how to gently care for another as if they were my family. I’m currently a student who is also a part-time caregiver for seniors. My only class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:20am-12:20pm, and my job schedule includes whatever client I am assigned to at the time. My schedule is very open, so I am flexible! I have a fenced yard with my one dog who hangs out with me when I am home. He is house-trained and well behaved, so he does not need a crate when I am gone. Though, I am able to easily crate your pup if that is what they need. I’d love to keep your dog company during check-in’s or stays, ensuring they feel safe and are given tons of pets while you are away!
About: I have taken care of many family & friends dogs and cats (and other types of pets) over the years. I have never had an issue with even the unruly ones. I am able to gain an animals trust quickly and am intuitive on how to approach them & care for them. I have a special needs nephew that I am a Respite Careworker for, I help administer his medications and am confident I can administer meds to any animal as well. I have also been taking care of my disabled mom for the last few years and am a mother of 2 (new empty nester). I have a lot of patience and don't get upset with messes. Everything is washable in my opinion. Although I will keep your house as tidy as possible if I am House Sitting for you. I live in Santa Maria, but am available for pet/house sitting in any part of Santa Barbara or San Luis Counties depending on the day(s). I would consider traveling further on the weekends if I am able. I am a responsible & trustworthy person, who genuinely enjoys caring for others. I work from home on Mon & Fri, so I am only unavailable during the day on Tues/Wed/Thurs. I am able to care for animals in the morning before I leave for work and every evening. I recently lost my dog at the ripe old age of 17, I used to walk my dog every day, so I know all the good dog walking spots in the area. I love hiking as well, so if your dog is up for it, I am happy to take them hiking too. I work in conjunction with my partner who is home during the day, so if there is a need for more exercise, feedings or medication during the day, we can facilitate that. I enjoy the company of animals, so they would be included in everything I do, as much as possible. I used to take my dog everywhere with me. I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, only because they are more comfortable there. My place is not very big, so it depends on how much space they are used to. I can sit 2-3 dogs at a time if they are not too big. I have room for a crate, but not more than one. I do have a is fenced in yard with a locked gate.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have lived with roommates who had cats, and I love both! While I’m new to formal pet sitting, animals have always been a welcome part of my life. I’ll take the time to understand your pet’s personality, follow their familiar routines, and give them plenty of attention and care while you’re away. I'm currently waiting to start my full-time job so I have a lot of availability during the week and on weekends. I'm free pretty much anytime during those days to take care of your pets. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs and personality. If they want to play, I’m happy to play! If they’d rather relax, we can do that too. I’ll closely follow your feeding and walking instructions, whether that means taking quieter routes, walking at specific times, or using a particular leash or harness. While caring for your pets in your home, I’ll respect your space and follow your house rules, including any boundaries or routines for your pets.
About: I am not just a pet sitter; I am a highly experienced caregiver who understands that every dog requires unique, specialized attention. Having raised and cared for my own four dogs for 25 years, I know exactly what it takes to keep a home safe, happy, and structured for multiple pets. I am fully confident and experienced in managing complex health conditions. I provide specialized care for diabetes (including strict schedules and insulin shots), seizure management, and gentle guidance for seniors experiencing Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD). From fragile 5-pound newborn puppies to independent 110-pound seniors, I understand the different handling, behavioral, and nutritional needs across all sizes and life stages. I am used to keeping up with a pack! I walked my four dogs every single day, meaning your pet will get the reliable exercise, outdoor time, and routine they thrive on. My community frequently relies on me to care for their pets because they know I treat every dog with the same level of vigilance and love as my own. I treat pet care as a core priority in my daily and weekly schedule. My routine is built around reliability and punctuality, which is crucial for pets on strict medical or feeding regimens. I dedicate my mornings, lunch breaks, and evenings entirely to pet visits, ensuring that diabetic checks, insulin shots, and senior care happen precisely on time. Because I am used to managing a busy multi-dog pack of my own, I am highly organized and adapt my weekly calendar to give your pets the consistent, dedicated time they deserve. I treat your pet exactly like a member of my own pack, offering a structured, safe, and loving environment. I follow your exact instructions down to the letter. If your diabetic pet needs breakfast and insulin at a precise hour, or if your senior cat needs specialized cognitive support at night, I am there right on time. Because of my extensive experience with seizures, diabetes, and other health issues, I am highly observant. I look out for subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits, and I know exactly how to handle medical emergencies calmly. I keep up your pet's favorite neighborhood walking routes and playtime rituals, ensuring they get the mental stimulation and physical exercise they are used to.
About: I foster dogs from a nearby shelter and post them on social media to find them. Families tend to focus on the “hopeless” ones. Just to show how lovable they really are and how anybody would be in a bad mood if they had to live in a cold cage. I guarantee your pets will have a blast! Unless they just like laying around all day, then we could do that too. I am a college student, but I have a really open schedule. I’m practically always free, just hit me up and I’ll usually be able to hang out with your furry friend! I like to give treats a lot so if you don’t want your pal gain a couple of pounds, that's about the only thing you have to worry about happening to your pup! At my house, dogs are always going up and down on the couches. It’s really no problem at all and I’ve got a pretty decent sized backyard with a high fence to keep them from running off and lots of parks just a light walk away!

“Erin was there each day as we needed and spent extra time playing with and caring fur our kitty. She was also flexible when our travel plans needed to be adjusted. We loved getting photos of him. Thank you!!”

“Skylar was extremely responsive and great to work with. My cat had some issues with her litter box while I was away, and Skylar came in on her day off to fix the problem and clean up the mess. I was so appreciative of her willingness to be flexible. Highly recommend booking with Skylar.”

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for animals in both professional and personal settings. I have worked with dogs for over three years, including experience at a pet resort where I was responsible for supervising and caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My experience includes feeding, administering routine care, monitoring behavior and well-being, maintaining clean and safe environments, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each pet receives plenty of individual attention. I also have experience working in a grooming facility, which helped me become comfortable handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. In addition to dogs and cats, I have extensive experience caring for horses and other livestock, so I am confident working with both small and large animals. Animal care is something I take very seriously. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I am attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I am will be starting school at Cal Poly in the fall studying animal science. I do have a job at a dog kennel but have long enough breaks to be able to check on the dogs and I work about 3-4 days a week. I ensure all the animals have the proper amount of food everyday, along with making sure they have enough water. If there is no doggy door I let the animals out as frequently as needed. I always make sure they have lots of walks, playtime, and cuddles.

“Hannah was such a delight to work with! She went above and beyond in caring for my pup and my home. I came home to a happy dog! Thanks so much Hannah, Betsy can’t wait to hang with you again!”

“Lars was fantastic! All of our animals seemed well cared for! He was reliable, relaxed, and a great communicator. He could handle walking both of our dogs (both of whom are "energetic" on walks :))! We will definitely use Lars again, and I would highly recommend him to others.”
