About: Hello my name is Karen, I’m happy to help you with pet care arrangements. I myself have relied on Rover for times I needed to be away. I understand what pet parents may need and understand that sometimes this role needs to go above and beyond to make sure your pets are being cared for. Overall, I always had a pet in the home from childhood to adulthood. Giving me over 25 years of pet care responsibilities. Currently I am a pet parent to a German Shepherd, Dax, and black house cat, Kenny. I am observant of pet body language and in-tune with pet needs. My pets have ranged from outdoor kitties to leash reactive large breeds. I have used oral medicine and topical medicine, and am comfortable with pets post-surgery as well. Being away from your pet is difficult, I’m here to ease that worry for you. Again, I’m happy to help you for brief visits or extended periods. My schedule is wide open, unless otherwise stated in the calendar. My homebase is in Santa Maria, but I am willing to travel and service areas as far as Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, and the places between. Including Solvang, Buellton, and Santa Ynez. If you do have questions about something more specific or time frames that are more specific to your needs please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help you and make something work. I am cautious and aware, making sure that pets are safe at all times, I like to be preventative and think one step ahead. During walks, I am aware of my surroundings, if you have a specific route you walk I can stick to that route. Communication is key, making sure I am informed of anything that you need me to take note of. I’m always respectful of property and boundaries.

About: I have many year of pet caring under my belt! I have two dogs of my own, one of which with special needs. I have been left in charge of my pets before and have shown that I am trusted to handle everything. I have experienced training both of my dogs, and have been in charge of administering insulin of my special needs dog. I have dog sat for my friends and neighbors in the past, and they have been very happy with results. I will treat every animal and house with respect, like they are my own. Thank you for consideration in keeping your beloved animals safe!! I am a college student that is home for the summer working and internship! My schedule is somewhat flexible but on my work days they run pretty long. Dog walking in the morning or early afternoon is something that would work with my schedule. Any house sitting needs work during the week, and can be a little different on the weekend but it can still work! I will respect every home that I am invited to for dog sitting needs. I will be cautious of entering the home making sure all animals are secure and we have no escapees! I only offer out of home sitting, meaning no animal will be taken out of their own house for sitting. If your animal needs to be crated or other special accommodations please do let me know and I will make it happen!

“We have a 10 year old German Shepard used having a consistency and in charge at home. Contacted Jeanette thru Rover and she seemed a perfect fit to stay at house and watch Ziggy for a few days. She is so accommodating coming to house night before to meet as he can be wary of a new person in the house. Jeanette met and was so relaxed even as Ziggy was qualifying her and after a few treats, feeding Ziggy dinner the two bonded. We did suggest she could go to her home to visit with her family, which she did and it all worked well. Jeanette does work from home so she was able to do that at our home as well. Jeanette also shared with us she had taken classes on dog behavior and health. She has dogs herself which we are sure helped her to transition Ziggy to her. Such a nice pleasant, accommodating and caring person we highly recommend Jeanette if you need a house/dog sitter.”

About: I have been raised with dogs my whole life. As soon as I could do chores, I was helping take care of the family dogs. I have also cared for neighbors' dogs who had special dietary needs and medication schedules. I also have a little bit of experience taking care of cats from my previous work as an in-home caregiver. I currently don’t have any other commitments work-wise, so I’m very flexible with my schedule. I also rarely take holidays off, so I’d be available for any time of the year on any day! I would love to get to know more about your pets on my first visit! I am retired and spend most of my time at home. We spend time in the yard, sniffing and running after the ball. We take walks and relax together. If I need to run an errand they are safe and secure inside and not left outdoors. I am used to dogs sleeping on my bed. If you prefer them to be in their own bed or crate that works as well. My yard is fenced and dig proof and lots of exercise is provided. I care for only one dog at a time. I do not leave dogs outdoors unattended. Besides our playtime l like it to keep things calm. I make sure animals feel safe, comfortable and cared for. If I am housesitting for you and your pets I will follow your instructions and care for your home and pets as if they were my own.

About: I have owned multiple dogs growing up and have such a deep love for them. I have three of my own and we spend our days going on walks, hikes, and taking fun trips to Starbucks for pup cups. I’m a SAHM so I have open availability. I prefer to do drop ins and walks while my toddler is sleeping or napping but still more than happy to accommodate to what’s better for your fur baby. I have a fenced yard where pups are able to run around until they hit the floor. I am very attentive and like to be involved with my pets whether it’s playing fetch, running around with them, or simply just being outside with them while they are outside. There is very little time when they are out of my sight.
