“Maria always does a fantastic job taking care of our fur babies when we’re out of town. She is always our number one choice when looking for someone to watch them. 5 Stars every time!!”

About: I have a deep love and respect for animals. I understand that a pet is like family to most owners so I will make sure that I will treat all of your pets with the love and care that you would as well. Detailed instructions are greatly appreciated so I can deliver the absolute best level of care. I can assure you that I will put forth the very best effort to ensure your pup is happy and healthy during the time I care for them. My schedule is quite flexible. Since my main job is within the school system, I’m usually off at 2pm and I get holidays off, as well as having the spring, thanksgiving, and summer breaks. Although I do not care for others pets in my own home, I’m very comfortable saying that not just your pet, but your home, will be greatly taken care of throughout the time I’m there.
About: I’m a dependable and caring animal lover who treats every pet like family. I have a passion for making pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or plenty of attention. I’ll make sure your pet gets personalized care and comfort. You can count on me to provide reliable updates and a safe, loving experience for your pet. Personally, having pets of all ages and size. I have plenty of experience for animals of all ages and special needs. I am a full-time working professional but have full availability on weekends Saturdays and Sundays, for all day/night care. Also, I am available for pet walking and check ins after 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. I treat my client's pets as if they are my own with love and patience. Being an active adult, I work great with all energetic pets that require extra attention.
“Jessica is great! This was the first time in almost 13 years that I’ve left my cat for more than a couple of nights. Jessica did a great job getting him out of his hiding spot and comfortable with her company. He’s very particular with who he interacts with. She did a great job taking care of him during her drop-in’s, was very flexible, and responsive.”

“Cary did a wonderful job taking care of my cat. I enjoyed receiving the pictures and updates. My cat is usually shy around new people but they hit it off. When I got home my kitty seemed happy. I will definitely call her again when I’m going to be out of town.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals ever since getting my first cat at the age of 4. Her name was muffin and she was all grey. I have never been without a pet since then. I have had one or more cats at all times in my life and currently also have a large dog, I am comfortable with feeding, playing, basic needs and giving medicine if necessary for cats and dogs. I take pride in my experiences and love of animals. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have several hours of free time during the day. As both kids go to school. Three times a week I clean at a gymnasium for 3 hours but other than that, I am mostly available all hours until 4pm when child activities began. I have blocks of time between 4pm-9pm on weekdays, navigating around children's sports and weekends are typically completely open. While visiting your home, I would respect all entrances and environments and aim to treat your home and pets the exact same way you would treat your space and pets. Listening carefully to your wishes and expectations to make sure your needs and your pets are met.

About: I've cared for pets of all sizes and personalities, from my own 3 pound Yorkie to 100 pound German Shepherds, as well as cats! I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or older, I'll provide reliable, attentive care and treat them like they're part of my own family. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I'm currently attending college online, which means I'm home most of the day and have a very flexible schedule. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends! Since I'm home, your pet will get plenty of attention, care, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. I live in an apartment, but we have a fenced dog area where pets can safely get outside time and enjoy some play. I also take dogs on daily walks to help them stay active and happy. I have a friendly dog of my own who loves having a companion around, but I always make sure to respect each pet’s individual personality and comfort level. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on keeping their routine as normal as possible :)
“Excellent fur baby sitter. Reliable and on time. I still have a kitten (and her big brother) so was worried about leaving the baby. But she did great. I would absolutely use her again.”

About: Lifelong dog owner with experience from puppies to seniors. Caring, reliable, and patient! Trusted by family, friends, and neighbors. Skilled in walks, play, and gentle, attentive care 🥰 Hi there! I am currently a student studying Acting & Musical Theatre at PCPA Conservatory, come see our shows! 🎭 My best walk times would be in the early morning and 4:30 - 6:30pm Tuesday - Friday; however, this varies weekly so I often have more time than this! Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays I am normally completely free! I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’m great at picking up on their little signals and quirks. Additionally, I adjust each walk to match every dog’s energy! ☀️ I keep things safe and comfy for every doggie such as checking the ground temperature, making sure they stay hydrated, and letting them enjoy plenty of sniff breaks. Whether it’s a short stroll or a long adventure, I bring happy energy, lots of love, and plenty of tail wags along the way. 🐾💛
About: I've volunteered before at Santa Maria Humane Society. I've done drop in visits for family before. I own and care for my dog, Tuwanine, for 5 years going on 6. I'm currently a student at WCUI for ultrasound. I started my externship in Templeton, CA. I'm required to complete 40 hours a week. I work Monday- Thursday from 6-4pm. I'll be available for your pet needs on Thursday- Sunday. 6am-3pm Depending on the service, I will incorporate what I do daily with my own dog. Of course taking them out for a potty. As well as a feeding schedule, walks, and to keep them company.
“Jeanette took wonderful care of our pup and made sure to contact me with any questions or concerns that came up. Our lab was scared of the July 4th fireworks and she did a great job calming him down and communicating with us extensively to make sure she was giving him the best care she could.”

“Gloria has been absolutely amazing with my puppy Rocket! During our busy work weeks, she would pop in to get him out of his kennel, make sure he was well cared for, and always cleaned up after him. She even took the time to teach him little tricks, which was such a sweet bonus and showed how much she genuinely cares and brought him toys she thought he would like. I completely trust her with my dog, and that peace of mind means everything to me. I plan to keep booking with her in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive pet care”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Orcutt
Jessica made our first experience with a pet sitter and Rover easy peasy! We are so grateful she took the time for a meet and greet and a follow up to drop the keys off after. She sent pictures and ensured our dog was taken care of on the two days we scheduled check-ins. Jessica was very friendly and ensured we had a great experience. Would definitely book with her again when the time arises. Thank you

Jami is incredibly friendly and has a natural ability to connect with dogs. She’s dedicated and patient, always making sure the dog feels comfortable and cared for. She’s come over a couple of times to work with our dog, who has trust issues, and was able to build trust quickly while making both him and us feel at ease.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
