“Alison was wonderful and patient with my doggies. She offered to come meet us before the weekend to get to know the dogs and their needs. I was able to show her how to administer meds and meals. On the days of booking, Alison followed all instructions and my pups were relaxed and happy when I retuned at the end of each day. It can be very hard to find help as a single person in a new town with senior dogs! Alison was wondeful and I would definitely book her again. I highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and love caring for them like they’re part of the family. I’ve helped watch over pets for friends and relatives whether it’s daily walks, feeding, giving fresh water, or lots of belly rubs! I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies to relaxed seniors. I always try to build trust with each pet and make sure they feel happy and relaxed while their owners are away. I know how important routines are, and I’m careful to follow any specific instructions to keep your dog safe, healthy, and comfortable. 🗓️ My typical availability during the week:)) Monday: 6:00am - 3:00pm Tuesday: 6:00am - 3:30pm Wednesday: 6:00am - 3:00pm Thursday: 6:00am-9:30am, 7:00pm-8:00pm Friday: 6:00am - 8:00pm Saturday: 6:00am - 8:00pm Sunday: 6:00am - 8:00pm Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs and behavior, and I never leave pets unsupervised in unsafe situations. I follow all care instructions carefully and communicate clearly with pet parents, sending updates and photos so you always know how your furry friend is doing. I treat every dog like family and work hard to earn their trust and keep them happy.

About: Hi there! 👋 My name is Berenisse and I’m a Certified Basic Obedience Dog Trainer based in Buellton, CA. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and what started as a hobby has grown into my true passion. I bring a well-rounded background to pet care and training. I’ve worked as a vet tech and as a dog trainer’s assistant, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have some experience in dog agility training, which I love incorporating for fun and exercise when appropriate. My approach to training and care is rooted in positive reinforcement—building trust, respect, and clear communication with every dog. I believe all dogs deserve patience, love, and encouragement, and I enjoy tailoring my care to meet each pup’s unique needs. I’m also very active, so whether your dog needs structured training, a playful walk, or an energetic workout buddy, I’m happy to be there for them. More than anything, I truly understand how much dogs enrich our lives—and I treat every dog as if they were my own. 🐾 Loving care, respectful training, and lots of tail wags guaranteed! Most of the time I work from home, I do drive around some days and when I am caring for dogs I try to incorporate car rides, physical and mental activity to keep them happy, healthy and to provide a positive experience. They get constant walks, the dog park is a couple blocks away from my house and I do take advantage of that to make sure they get their daily physical and mental estimulation.
“Needed a last minute dog sitter and stumbled across Cassandras page. She was very responsive and very professional when we did the meet and greet. Arrived early for each visit. Look forward to using her again.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Dayna provided for our pets while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and gave us peace of mind from the very first visit. We loved receiving the updates and knowing our cats and dogs were well cared for. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that was just as we left it. It’s clear that Dayna genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable pet sitter! Thank you, Dayna, for treating Benelli, Mac, and our cats like they were your own. We truly appreciate everything you did for our family while we were away!”

About: I foster dogs from a nearby shelter and post them on social media to find them. Families tend to focus on the “hopeless” ones. Just to show how lovable they really are and how anybody would be in a bad mood if they had to live in a cold cage. I guarantee your pets will have a blast! Unless they just like laying around all day, then we could do that too. I have school until one, but after that i’m free to hang out with your furry friend! So feel free to drop them off anytime. I like to give treats a lot so if you don’t want your pal gain a couple of pounds, that's about the only thing you have to worry about happening to your pup! At my house, dogs are always going up and down on the couches. It’s really no problem at all and I’ve got a pretty decent sized backyard with a high fence to keep them from running off and lots of parks just a light walk away!
“Gloria has been absolutely amazing with my puppy Rocket! During our busy work weeks, she would pop in to get him out of his kennel, make sure he was well cared for, and always cleaned up after him. She even took the time to teach him little tricks, which was such a sweet bonus and showed how much she genuinely cares and brought him toys she thought he would like. I completely trust her with my dog, and that peace of mind means everything to me. I plan to keep booking with her in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive pet care”

I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year and am otherwise a DoorDash driver. I would work my schedule around what you need. My cats stay indoors and my 2 dogs love hanging out on our front enclosed porch or lounging inside. They all get along quite well.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
