About: Hi there! 👋 My name is Berenisse and I’m a Certified Basic Obedience Dog Trainer based in Buellton, CA. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and what started as a hobby has grown into my true passion. I bring a well-rounded background to pet care and training. I’ve worked as a vet tech and as a dog trainer’s assistant, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have some experience in dog agility training, which I love incorporating for fun and exercise when appropriate. My approach to training and care is rooted in positive reinforcement—building trust, respect, and clear communication with every dog. Most of the time I work from home, I do drive around some days and when I am caring for dogs I try to incorporate car rides, physical and mental activity to keep them happy, healthy and to provide a positive experience. They get constant walks, the dog park is a couple blocks away from my house and I do take advantage of that to make sure they get their daily physical and mental estimulation.

I understand what pet parents may need and understand that sometimes this role needs to go above and beyond to make sure your pets are being cared for. Overall, I always had a pet in the home from childhood to adulthood. Giving me over 25 years of pet care responsibilities. Currently I am a pet parent to a German Shepherd, Dax, and black house cat, Kenny. I am observant of pet body language and in-tune with pet needs. My pets have ranged from outdoor kitties to leash reactive large breeds. I have used oral medicine and topical medicine, and am comfortable with pets post-surgery as well. My schedule is wide open, unless otherwise stated in the calendar. I’m happy to help you and make something work. I am cautious and aware, making sure that pets are safe at all times, I like to be preventative and think one step ahead. During walks, I am aware of my surroundings, if you have a specific route you walk I can stick to that route. Communication is key, making sure I am informed of anything that you need me to take note of. I’m always respectful of property and boundaries.

I always refresh water, clean up any messes, and ensure your home is left exactly how I found it. About: I have been raised with dogs my whole life. As soon as I could do chores, I was helping take care of the family dogs. I have also cared for neighbors' dogs who had special dietary needs and medication schedules. I also have a little bit of experience taking care of cats from my previous work as an in-home caregiver. I have my own two dogs that I've loved and raised for the last 13 years. I have been with them through their puppy training, medical needs as they've gotten older, and become versed with the emotional labor that comes with owning aging pets. I am also an amateur photographer so you will absolutely be receiving a great number of photos of your pets while under my care. About: I have grown up with pets of all sizes and temperaments my entire life. From dogs to horses to livestock, I am very calm around new animals, even if they may be a bit anxious with new people, pets, and places. I do have my own rescue pup, Río, who loves to get outside for adventures, loves other animals, and loves to be by my side whenever possible. Whether you are in need of pet sitting, exercising, a dog daycation, and/or housesitting with your beloved pet(s), my first choice is always to have Río come along so long as that is something with which you and your pet(s) will be comfortable and enjoy. I grew up on the Central Coast and love to be outdoors and adventuring whether through hikes, long walks, eating out on pet dates at the amazing restaurants nearby, trips to the off leash beaches, or more. If that’s not your pet(s)’ speed and/or favorite things, I am also very into cozying up with them on the sofa or whatever activities may be their favorites as well. If you are in need of care for your horses or livestock, whether while looking for a house sitter or other times, I have a lifetime of experience with horses and am very able to feed, muck, hotwalk, etc. while house sitting or on a drop-in basis. I have not been riding much since returning back to the Central Coast from SF but pending the temperament and experience level necessary, after learning to ride horses much around the same time I was learning to walk, I am always open for an easy ride if needed for your horse(s) as well. Just message me and we can discuss further! Río and I always make sure to take time to get outside to exercise, take potty breaks on grass, and explore daily with an hour-2.5+ hours hike in the mornings and an hour long walk/run after work. Río and I are ideally a package deal so any dog(s), cat(s), and/or whatever pet(s) you are in need of caring for and giving some love to, please advise if they are dog-friendly and enjoy a workout but also love a good lounge throughout the day. For potty breaks and a bit of engagement during the work day, I have a privately fenced yard to pop outside for some sunshine and ball play any time throughout the day and night.

About: I have many year of pet caring under my belt! I have two dogs of my own, one of which with special needs. I have been left in charge of my pets before and have shown that I am trusted to handle everything. I have experienced training both of my dogs, and have been in charge of administering insulin of my special needs dog. I have dog sat for my friends and neighbors in the past, and they have been very happy with results. I will treat every animal and house with respect, like they are my own. Thank you for consideration in keeping your beloved animals safe!! I am a college student that is home for the summer working and internship! My schedule is somewhat flexible but on my work days they run pretty long. Dog walking in the morning or early afternoon is something that would work with my schedule. Any house sitting needs work during the week, and can be a little different on the weekend but it can still work! I will respect every home that I am invited to for dog sitting needs. I will be cautious of entering the home making sure all animals are secure and we have no escapees! I only offer out of home sitting, meaning no animal will be taken out of their own house for sitting. If your animal needs to be crated or other special accommodations please do let me know and I will make it happen!
