Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and what started as a hobby has grown into my true passion. I bring a well-rounded background to pet care and training. I’ve worked as a vet tech and as a dog trainer’s assistant, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have some experience in dog agility training, which I love incorporating for fun and exercise when appropriate. My approach to training and care is rooted in positive reinforcement—building trust, respect, and clear communication with every dog. Most of the time I work from home, I do drive around some days and when I am caring for dogs I try to incorporate car rides, physical and mental activity to keep them happy, healthy and to provide a positive experience. They get constant walks, the dog park is a couple blocks away from my house and I do take advantage of that to make sure they get their daily physical and mental estimulation.

About: I have been raised with dogs my whole life. As soon as I could do chores, I was helping take care of the family dogs. I have also cared for neighbors' dogs who had special dietary needs and medication schedules. I also have a little bit of experience taking care of cats from my previous work as an in-home caregiver. I currently don’t have any other commitments work-wise, so I’m very flexible with my schedule. I also rarely take holidays off, so I’d be available for any time of the year on any day! I understand what pet parents may need and understand that sometimes this role needs to go above and beyond to make sure your pets are being cared for. Overall, I always had a pet in the home from childhood to adulthood. Giving me over 25 years of pet care responsibilities. Currently I am a pet parent to a German Shepherd, Dax, and black house cat, Kenny. I am observant of pet body language and in-tune with pet needs. My pets have ranged from outdoor kitties to leash reactive large breeds. I have used oral medicine and topical medicine, and am comfortable with pets post-surgery as well. Being away from your pet is difficult, I’m here to ease that worry for you. Again, I’m happy to help you for brief visits or extended periods. My schedule is wide open, unless otherwise stated in the calendar. I’m happy to help you and make something work. I am cautious and aware, making sure that pets are safe at all times, I like to be preventative and think one step ahead. During walks, I am aware of my surroundings, if you have a specific route you walk I can stick to that route. Communication is key, making sure I am informed of anything that you need me to take note of. I’m always respectful of property and boundaries.

About: I have a 13 yr old Yorkshire Terrier, raised from a baby, a 7 yr old Pug and a 6 month old Chihuahua mix. I have a family members who have pets and are able to count on me when it comes to taking care of their fur babies. I am full of energy, love being out in the sun for walks and park dates. Watching fur babies is one of my favorites things to do. They give so much unconditional love, I will forever return the favor. I am a stay at home wife, able to fit pet care into my schedule during the week, morning/afternoon/evening. I do not pet sit on the weekends. Our backyard is spacious and is fenced around. They love to play and sun bathe when it's bright outside. We let them roam the house when we are present, when we're not we have a gate that blocks the kitchen and a doggie door to allow in and out for potty breaks.

“Lacey took wonderful care of our little Poppy over the Thanksgiving holiday. Poppy can be very shy and is usually uncomfortable with new people, but Lacey had such a calm and grounding presence that Poppy warmed up to her quickly — even letting her be pet, which rarely happens. Lacey communicated well throughout the week and sent lots of photos, which helped us feel reassured while we were away. She also gave thoughtful updates after each visit, and by the end it truly seemed like she and Poppy had become friends. There were a couple of days when unexpected issues made her later than planned, but in spite of these hiccups, she kept Poppy top of mind and kept us in the loop. Overall, I’m grateful for the care, kindness, and attention she gave Poppy. I would book with her again.”

About: Since a very young age (about 5+), I have been taking care of a myriad of animals and learned animal body language from them. It was incredible and I learned a lot of valuable skills from them. After that, I took up teaching myself how to train dogs (plus puppies and cats) with positive training methods.
