About: Hi there! 👋 My name is Berenisse and I’m a Certified Basic Obedience Dog Trainer based in Buellton, CA. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and what started as a hobby has grown into my true passion. I bring a well-rounded background to pet care and training. I’ve worked as a vet tech and as a dog trainer’s assistant, giving me valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have some experience in dog agility training, which I love incorporating for fun and exercise when appropriate. My approach to training and care is rooted in positive reinforcement—building trust, respect, and clear communication with every dog. I believe all dogs deserve patience, love, and encouragement, and I enjoy tailoring my care to meet each pup’s unique needs. Most of the time I work from home, I do drive around some days and when I am caring for dogs I try to incorporate car rides, physical and mental activity to keep them happy, healthy and to provide a positive experience. They get constant walks, the dog park is a couple blocks away from my house and I do take advantage of that to make sure they get their daily physical and mental estimulation.

About: Since a very young age (about 5+), I have been taking care of a myriad of animals and learned animal body language from them. It was incredible and I learned a lot of valuable skills from them. After that, I took up teaching myself how to train dogs (plus puppies and cats) with positive training methods. I have a lot of time and availability to care for your pet in the comfort of their own home. *Note: Puppies must have had all 3 of their puppy shots in order for me to accept. I work from home so my schedule is very free and available from short to long stays. Perfect for people who love to travel or need consistent daily routines for their pets. I care for my client's home with respect and great care. I like to keep things clean and feeling good for everyone. The pets I will be a good friend to, treating them with kindness, play time, exercise if needed, and being consistent with their desired routine.

About: I have grown up with pets of all sizes and temperaments my entire life. From dogs to horses to livestock, I am very calm around new animals, even if they may be a bit anxious with new people, pets, and places. I do have my own rescue pup, Río, who loves to get outside for adventures, loves other animals, and loves to be by my side whenever possible. Whether you are in need of pet sitting, exercising, a dog daycation, and/or housesitting with your beloved pet(s), my first choice is always to have Río come along so long as that is something with which you and your pet(s) will be comfortable and enjoy. I grew up on the Central Coast and love to be outdoors and adventuring whether through hikes, long walks, eating out on pet dates at the amazing restaurants nearby, trips to the off leash beaches, or more. If that’s not your pet(s)’ speed and/or favorite things, I am also very into cozying up with them on the sofa or whatever activities may be their favorites as well. If you are in need of care for your horses or livestock, whether while looking for a house sitter or other times, I have a lifetime of experience with horses and am very able to feed, muck, hotwalk, etc. while house sitting or on a drop-in basis. I have not been riding much since returning back to the Central Coast from SF but pending the temperament and experience level necessary, after learning to ride horses much around the same time I was learning to walk, I am always open for an easy ride if needed for your horse(s) as well. Just message me and we can discuss further! Please note, if you foresee last-minute requests for daycare, check-ins, and/or dog walking being necessary in the future, please reach out to schedule a formal meet and greet anytime in advance so we may know that the pups are a good match prior to any late bookings becoming necessary. For my safety and the safety of my dogs and yours, I will not accept last-minute check-ins or dog walking requests without this meet and greet completed. Río and I always make sure to take time to get outside to exercise, take potty breaks on grass, and explore daily with an hour-2.5+ hours hike in the mornings and an hour long walk/run after work. Río and I are ideally a package deal so any dog(s), cat(s), and/or whatever pet(s) you are in need of caring for and giving some love to, please advise if they are dog-friendly and enjoy a workout but also love a good lounge throughout the day. For potty breaks and a bit of engagement during the work day, I have a privately fenced yard to pop outside for some sunshine and ball play any time throughout the day and night.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always make sure they’re in a calm, secure, and pet friendly environment, whether we’re on a walk or visiting their home. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs and behavior, and I never leave pets unsupervised in unsafe situations. I follow all care instructions carefully and communicate clearly with pet parents, sending updates and photos so you always know how your furry friend is doing. I treat every dog like family and work hard to earn their trust and keep them happy.

About: Former veterinary technician and horse stable manager, current horse and dog trainer, all your animals and plants will be well cared for by biological science graduate in the Santa Ynez Valley region I am a self employed horse and dog trainer with a very flexible schedule to care for my own animals and yours as well.
