Currently my schedule is very flexible for your needs whether it be walks, drop-in care or overnight care! I’m happy to adapt to your schedules while you’re away to make sure your pet remains getting the best care!

Every home I visit I make sure to understand each pet’s unique needs. I’m happy to adapt to how you care for your pet so they feel right at home and in their routine when you’re away! I always include a complementary 15-30 minute meet and greet prior to working with a new client to be sure I understand their care requirements and so that we both can be sure I am a good fit for your needs! While you’re away I like keeping you up to date with pictures of your pet and little updates on their day (with that in mind I also love having some extra contacts I can reach, if needed, if you happen to be unavailable)! IF BOARDING YOUR PET with me some things to note: I live in a two story family home in Pismo Beach with a fully enclosed backyard! Within our household there is myself, my parents and my two brothers who are also experienced pet sitters (while we all adore dogs, if your pet has a history of high anxiety around men this home may not be the best fit for them, but I would be more than happy to discuss housesitting with you in this case)! While here, your pup is free to roam around the backyard or inside as they’d like as we have it set up to accommodate both large and small breeds without worry. When I first bring a pet into my home I like to show them around by leash to familiarize them with the area and to double check that all exit points are secure prior to taking them off leash. We are unfortunately NOT ABLE TO HOST CATS, due to a family member’s allergies. Lastly, while your pets may be great with other animals, due being in a new and unfamiliar environment I am only comfortable taking care of one client’s dogs at a time, so they will NOT be interacting with ANY new pets in this environment while under my care, it will be 24/7 all about them time! An exception: we are happy to take in 2 dogs that come from the SAME household! Feel free to reach out to ask any more questions about our boarding experience, if you would like to video chat for a short tour or if you have any interest in housesitting for your fur babies!

Each time BEFORE you leave your pet in my care, I will ask for an updated care sheet for your pet(s) to be supplied (physical or digital copy) OR I have a Google Forms link I supply with some standard questions to help me better understand how to be YOU while you are away! Some things I find most IMPORTANT that I make a point of asking during our meet and greet and on the care document provided to me: Is there any allergies, medications they take or special needs I should be aware of? Are they comfortable around other dogs, cats and the other animals near your home? Are there any animals near your home that are show signs of aggression to your pet? What is their potty break schedule like, do you have a doggy door or do you leave a door open for them when you are home/away? Will you be reachable while I am watching your pet? Any emergency contacts? Vet contacts if needed?

I love to keep the pets I watch on a similar routine to what they are used to with you! I’ll ask what routes they are used to walking on, and their favorite parks to play in! If you are comfortable with me driving them around I am happy to take them with me just about anywhere you’d like to let their wiggles out and to keep them thoroughly engaged while in my care!

I’m absolutely enamored by animals! Growing up, I always had pets to care for and I grew quite accustomed to my life revolving around them. Since starting my university studies, I made the decision to be a part-time pet care provider on Rover so I can still spend time with as many fur babies, scaly sweethearts and fantastic creatures as possible! Throughout my years as a petsitter, I’ve always remained a reliable and trustworthy source for my clients to call at any time, it’s an absolute pleasure for me to help my clients as much as I can! I’ve cared for multiple animals at once, animals large and small, pets with special needs as well as puppies, kittens and senior pets. I’ve primarily taken care of dogs and cats, however I’ve also looked after a range of animals including: many species of fish, snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, bunnies, flocks of pigeons among other birds! I’m always ready and ecstatic for the opportunity to learn how to care for a new pet! Whatever your pet needs, I’m there!

Riley is wonderful and a natural for dog care. My girls immediately trusted her and she was so loving toward them. I have a large dog, Kai, who is a big goof and sometimes a challenge to manage. Riley had no issues at all, walked them on the beach and took the time to inform me of jellyfish present and to stay back a bit when I walk them later as Kai likes to eat most anything. It's that level of attention and care that is invaluable. Thank you, Riley! We'll definitely reach out very soon!!!
We're new to SLO and needed someone quick for an unscheduled trip. Riley responded prompty the same day to meet our Boxer and later complete daily visits during our trip. Riley provided timely and responsible service and our pup made a new friend!
Riley is so amazing. She not only took care of my kitties and gave them lots of love while I was out out of the country due to work, but she helped me organize my very small cluttered trailer, and I came home to a space that felt mean cared for and didn’t disrupt my thankful nervous system. I was able to come back from my business Retreat and clarity. Thanks to Riley’s care for my home and my pets. I can’t thank her. I highly highly highly recommend.
