I've been caring for other people's pets for years, which is how I ended up on Rover. I'm vegan and am passionate about animal welfare, so caring for your pets is an extension of how I already live. I practice yoga daily, and I move through a house or a walk with the same calm attention. Dogs and cats seem to really appreciate that. I handle large, strong dogs confidently on leash, and I follow medication routines for senior pets exactly as written. I know great routes - the quiet blocks, the good sniffing spots, and the ones to skip during rush hour. You'll get photo updates with every visit. If you want someone who genuinely cares for your pets, I'm your pet person! I work from home, which means your pet isn’t sitting around waiting for someone to show up. I’m already taking breaks to walk around the neighborhood anyway! Adding your amazing dog to that routine is honestly just more rewarding. I approach all pets with patience and respect for their personal space. I take my walks and pet sitting with great care. I want to get to know your pet’s energy, their triggers, and what makes them happy. I keep leashes secure and pay attention. I’m not going to be doomscrolling while your pet figures their next move.

About: I had a dog for six years when I was younger, the responsibility that comes with taking care of a living creature; feeding, bathing, walking, etc. is something that has become deeply engrained in my person. I have taken care of several dogs in the last few years, (as well as one cat!). They’ve mostly been dogs on the small but I’m still super open to walking a friendly big dog! I am currently on my summer vacation, so I am free most of not all day! Let me know what times you need, (with one day in advance), so I can get started on opening up my schedule. :) In an owners home I would take care for a pet as their directions instruct me to, making sure that the pet is happy and properly taken care of, as well as making sure not to damage anything or cause any disturbances.

About: I grew up on a hobby farm with a motley crew of horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and various bird and rodent pets throughout the years. I’ve been an animal lover since day one, and now that I don’t have my farm full of animals I am hoping to outsource my animal cuddles! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with furry friends! I have a car and live very close to a park, plus I love going for long walks and always appreciate company. I am fully respectful of any animal’s personal bubble - or lack thereof I have two fenced yards and live very near a park! I also have a car and am happy to visit them at home if they’re more comfortable without the stress of a new place.

I hadn’t felt able to leave him for even one night because of his care needs, but Shannon went out of her way to make sure Hank was comfortable and well cared for during my trip. About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up surrounded by them. I was an au pair for several years, and I continue to pet sit for my former host families as well as friends and people I know. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and caring for them with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. 🐾❤️ I work as a nanny during the week, so I’m available to care for pets, but they would be alone for about 8 hours during my workday. Because of this, I prefer Friday evenings and weekends, when I can spend more time with them. I’m also happy to take them on walks, and my apartment has a patio where they can get some fresh air and outdoor time. 🐾 My home is a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for pets. I have a patio where dogs can get some fresh air, and I’m always mindful of their safety and individual needs. I’m happy to follow their routines and any instructions from their owners.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life. I had two dogs as a kid and now I own an amazing German Shepard Husky mix. I love and enjoy being around dogs and puppies. I work as a catering contractor. My job is very flexible and I create my own schedule. I have lots of free time to take care of your dogs. I have a large fenced yard at my house for my dog to run around in. I am good with crates and crate training if needed.
