About: I've had hamsters, turtles, fish, a chinchilla, and 3 dogs growing up. It is safe to say that there was a reason why I was watching animal planet instead of Cartoon Network. Taking care of my Jack Russel from age 11 until he passed was the most rewarding experience ever. I love all animals and enjoy getting to know their personalities. Knowing what a dog or pet is thinking is one of my strengths! I have generally open availability as I am currently job searching. Therefore my schedule is very flexible! Just happy to have your pet in my life and hopefully make their day a little better. I care for pets based on their own individual needs. About: I have had and been around dogs since I was about 5 years old and have loved every second of it. Animals have always held a special place in my heart and I couldn't imagine my life without them. I started taking care of our family pets once I was a teenager and over a year ago I adopted my dog, Bumi, from Seattle Humane. Bumi turned out to be highly reactive and since adopting him I have worked extensively with a trainer and become very familiar with reactive dogs and can handle them well, provided they have some level of training. I have also looked after cats from my friends and acquaintances and have never had a negative experience aside from the occasional ankle swipe or warning bite, as cats are want to do. After working with my reactive dog I have become very sensitive to animals body language and know when to back off. While cats body language is quite different from a dogs I have plenty of experience and know when a cat does not want to be approached. I've loved every single dog and cat I have come across and would love to provide excellent care for your pets. I'm currently an unemployed scientist waiting for the NIH to be funded again so my schedule during the day is wide open. I have some responsibilities in the evening that can last a few hours but can still attend to pets as needed. As I have a reactive dog at home I won't be able to house pets at my home but can come to your house and care for your pets. Your pets safety and well-being are incredibly important to me. This includes stress levels and other emotional issues. While taking care of your pets I will work to ensure their comfort and reduce their stress while you are away.

I work remotely full-time, so I can be at your home all day, every day, as needed. That means no long stretches alone for your pet, and midday potty breaks, meals, and meds are never a problem. For walks, I’m available after 5 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the Green Lake, Phinney Ridge, Wallingford, Fremont, and Ballard areas. I treat your home and your pet’s routine with care. Before a stay, I’ll ask for your feeding amounts, medications, walk routine, vet contact, and any quirks or triggers, and I follow them closely. Pets are never left alone for long, and dogs are always leashed on walks and given regular time outside. I measure meals exactly as instructed, use positive reinforcement, and keep their space calm and comfortable. I’ll send you regular updates and photos, and I’ll contact you right away if anything seems off, and get your pet to the vet if needed.
