“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“Jed and Nyla were awesome with my dog, Rosie. They have a cute dog named Annie, that was so fun and playful with Rosie. They have a fenced backyard and took her for walks. They were cautious when the temperature was over 100 degrees outside. We will definitely use them again.”

“Lisa and her family went above and beyond taking care of Rudy our golden doodle he’s a huge teddy bear, I received pictures n videos n updates, I will definitely use her services again, I highly recommend them.”

“Kim has oil excellent care of my new puppy, she sent frequent pictures and updates and Lucky had a great time playing in her yard. I will definitely have Lucky stay with Kim again!”

“Ann took such good care of our pup! He is a really nervous dog but he warmed right up to her. She was great about communication and sending us updates multiple times a day. I would leave our dog with her again for sure!”

“Ashtyn was amazing!!! From our first meeting and her communication while my dog was in her care I could relax knowing my Tuffy was being loved. I would highly recommend Ashtyn to watch anyone’s pets. Thank you!!!!”

“Lauren was wonderful with our Teddi dog. Teddi is a Pomeranian and Pallion mix dog breed. She is 8years old and weighs 5 pounds. She is an escape artist out doors if she is not a leash. Lauren made sure to keep Teddi on her leash before going outdoors. Right away I knew Teddi was in good hands. It was so nice to get updated from Lauren. And she even captured great pictures of our Teddi. And sent them to me. As soon as I know that I’m going on another vacation I’m messaging Lauren again she is dependable and I know I can trust her to give love and care to anyones pets. It was so nice to enjoy my vacation while knowing our Teddi dog was in good hands. -Renae”

“Courtnei & Christopher were absolutely outstanding. Communication was on point from start to finish…clear, timely, and proactive. Zero guessing, zero chasing, zero stress. Zeus couldn’t have landed in a better situation. Between their boys and their pup, he basically went on a mini vacation. Tons of play, real interaction, and genuine care, not just “fed and let outside.” He came home happy, tired, and very obviously loved on like part of their family. That tells you everything you need to know. If you’re looking for sitters who treat your dog like their dog, stop scrolling. These are your people.”

“Sheyla was wonderful! I highly recommend her. Our dog was very well taken care of and given lots of love while we were away. She was very responsive to communication. We enjoyed the pictures she sent too, it was comforting to see how our puppy was doing.”

“They were very friendly and were able to take care of my Luna with no issues and were a big help taking her on such short notice. I really appreciated it and recommended them to anyone, I will definitely be asking them again in the future to watch over my Luna if they are free!”

“She was amazing! My dog was extremely nervous the first couple of days and Choi was so patient with her. Lacey finally warmed up and that’s all because she felt safe and loved. Thank you so much Choi we will definitely book with her again.”

“Our dogs loved staying with Ashley :) When we picked them up to leave after a couple days, our big Bernedoodle snuggled right up to Ashley and gave her lots of love. We could tell they really felt safe and happy with her.”

“Jewell is AMAZING. Our dog loved being there and we always felt so safe leaving him and that he was well cared for and LOVED. Loved all the pics she sent and always answered all of my questions promptly. She’s the BEST!! Genuine love for our puppers. Sooooo grateful to her!”

Chelsea was amazing! I was worried about leaving Wrigley since he can be very anxious when I’m away, but I felt so much better after meeting her. She sent daily updates with lots of pictures and she was flexible to work with. I’m glad to know Wrigley was in good hands while I was away!

Haily was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and we were a little nervous especially since it was a last-minute booking. I even booked it incorrectly but Haley was so kind, understanding, and helpful in getting everything corrected. Her communication was excellent from start to finish. When we picked Izzy up, she was happy, well cared for, and absolutely exhausted which tells me she had plenty of fun and playtime! Haley made us feel completely at ease, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Our dog Freddy loves Sienna and her adorable dog Indi and they love him as if he was their own. Sienna provides the most loving, caring and safe environment for the dogs. She gives the best updates and photos while we’re away, and goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is having as much fun as possible. We’ve booked with her several times and it’s always 10/10! I think our dog looks forward to us going on vacation now!

This was the first time I had to leave my Daisy since getting her so I was nervous. Amy and her family were incredible. Daisy was loved everyday and looked so happy in every photo. She got sick on one of the days and Amy took such great care of her! It gave me a sense of ease that Daisy was being looked after by caring people! On the car ride home, Daisy glared at me haha I couldn’t tell if she was pissed that I left her for a week or I took her away from all the fun she was having haha (gotta love the corgi attitude) haha.

Brandon was amazing with our dog! He asked very thorough questions about her and how best to take care of her and sent tons of pictures and videos to us. We could tell every time he sent one how happy she was. He definitely went above and beyond to provide the best possible care for her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
