“We absolutely love Chelsea and her husband. They treat out pup Blue like one of their own. Thank you again for taking such good care of him. Chelsea is always so accommodating and easy to work with.”

“We were from out of town and Anna was amazing with our pups. Buddy and Bagel loved playing at her doggie day care. Anna is very knowledgeable, kind, loving and understanding of dogs behaviors. Our dogs felt like they were in dog heaven.”

“Kim is amazing! Our frenchie had so much fun with her. Kim is very attentive, and texted right away with any questions. It is so nice to know we have a loving sitter for our Winston!”

“Darlena was amazing! We are very particular about our dogs and she communicated quickly and made us feel comfortable to have our babies stay with her. We were so glad that we weee able to find her to help us! She sent pictures of them while we were gone and I loved that. We will definitely use her again. Thank you!”

“Ashley was so great to work with. We had Ashley watch our dog while we were at an all day wedding. She was quick to respond and I loved that she had my dog come meet her and her dogs beforehand, it brought me a lot of comfort knowing where and with whom I was leaving my dog. It also made the busy drop off day so smooth and happy for my dog because she already knew where she was going and we didn’t need to do all the introductions! Our dog was so happy when we picked her up, I know Ashley and her family took really good care of her. I would highly recommend working with her.”

“Shontae provided a great environment for my dog with a dog door, backyard, and her puppy for my dog to socialize with. My dog seemed happy and cared for in the photos she sent and when I picked him up. Great experience!!”

“Kind and loving family who took great care of our Coco. Pictures were provided and kind.m reassurances since this was Coco’s first adventure away from home. We will definitely use their family again.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sadie had such a wonderful day with Jessica! From the moment we dropped her off, I could tell she was in great hands. Jessica was kind, attentive, and kept me updated with messages and photos throughout the day — which I really appreciated. Sadie came home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — we’ll definitely be booking with Jessica again! 🐾💛”

About: Talley’s House has two adults that work from home, two teenage dog loving sons, and two pups, Talley (12+) and Oz (2) that love to meet and play with new friends! We have a great setup for dogs of all types, and we would love to watch your dog(s)! We acknowledge we may not be right for everyone. Please read all the details in our profile to determine if our home is right for you. We work from home - pet care is baked into our daily/weekly routine. A TYPICAL DAY: 7:00-8:30 a.m. interactive playtime (fetch, tug-of-war, etc. ) 8:30-9:00 a.m. morning feeding and rest 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. open playtime - we work while the dogs play. They come in an out freely while we supervise from our workstation. We group dogs as needed. See the safety, trust & environment section for details. 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. treats and training followed by quiet time in kennels 4:00 - 6:00 p.m interactive playtime round 2 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. evening feeding and quiet time in kennels 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. final playtime and bedtime routine (treats and training) 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. bedtime in kennels We prefer pickup/dropoff times between 7:00 - 10:00 a.m or 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. so we can devote time to helping the dogs adjust to the environment and their temporary pack. The only thing we need from you at drop off is their food in a ZIPLOC w INSTRUCTIONS WRITTEN on it. If needed, bring a small blanket or toy with the scent of home. We do NOT need beds, food dishes, or leash. We engage in activities that stimulate their prey drive (fetch, tug-of-war...), play drive (playtime with Talley, Ozzy, and other guests), and work on training behaviors a couple of times a day, as appropriate. They are out of the kennel interacting with dogs and people most of the day. In order for your dog to have a great experience, they need to play well with other dogs and be comfortable spending time in a kennel. SAFETY & TRUST: We have been trained in behavior recognition to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. When we have multiple guests, we group dogs as needed (by age, size, "fixed" or not, temperament, and/or energy level) to optimize the experience for each guest. We feed them in a kennel to ensure food isn't shared and give them quiet time after meals to ensure they have adequate time to digest before playing again. We expect our guests to be up to date with their vaccinations. When a new dog arrives give them time to explore on their own, then we gradually introduce them to other dogs to assess temperament and compatibility. That is the reason we prefer to limit the pickup and dropoff windows so we can devote that critical time. Please see availability for more info on times. ENVIRONMENT: We have a dedicated space both indoors and outdoors for the dogs. Inside we have an air-conditioned apartment dedicated to the dogs. They have a couch, area rug, background music, and their own 4x4, 4x6, or 5x5 kennel. We reserve a corner for a workstation where we work during the day. Outside we have a fenced area for the dogs with turf and toys. We setup a canopy for extra shade on hot sunny days since we don't have natural shade from trees yet. We wet the turf down on hot days to ensure it's comfortable for the dogs as well.
“Nicole and James were very responsive and accommodating. I received video and photo updates of Lula playing with her new friends during her time there. On our way back home, Lula smiled with content which tells me I know she had a great time! We will definitely be booking again with Nicole and James.”

About: I have over 7 years caring for dogs. I’ve had multiple dogs of my own and have fostered for a local rescue here in Utah. I’ve cared for senior dogs, dogs with illnesses like cancer and puppies. I currently have 1 dog of my own (Chomper), who was a foster fail. I’ve always treated my dogs like my children and will do the same for your pups. I currently work from home most days (besides Wednesday), so I am home the majority of the time. During the day, your dogs will get play time and walks. We live in a townhome with a doggy door and tall fences in the back, so your dogs can go outside whenever they'd like. My husband and I are home a lot on the weekends and spend a large amount of time with the dogs. Safety always comes first for me for any pups. By working from home, it allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs. From my experience with multiple dogs and fostering, I’ve learned what body language to watch out for and what items to keep away. The fences in the back area of our townhome are close to 6 feet, which helps keep dogs secure while enjoying outside.

This was the second time my two corgis went to Chelsea’s home and they came home absolutely exhausted - just how I like my high energy pups. Chelsea was so gracious to do a last minute booking both times due to unforeseen circumstances. I’m eternally grateful for this as my life is constantly changing and schedules regularly get disrupted. She accommodates, communicates well, follows any specific directions, and loves on my girls. I’m so grateful I found such a great caretaker in this area.

Super amazing sitter! She was super responsive and her dogs got along so well with our puppy. She was also incredibly patient and understanding when we had to pick him up later than planned due to a freeway closure. Will definitely take puppy here again next time!

Brittin was absolutely fantastic all around. My dog is a $25,000 medical alert, Dog, so I am extremely OCD about who I leave her with. I never go without my service dog, but I wanted to go into the LDS temple where Service dogs are not allowed and thankfully she was within less than 2 miles roughly of the temple in Provo so I didn’t have to compromise myself medically too much to be able to have my dog watched and attend the temple She made sure my dog had an awesome pool to play in while it’s hot and being a labrador my dog loves water like it’s air. Her dog was very kind and loving to mine. I didn’t have any real worries about her dog being aggressive to my service dog She sent me photos every couple of hours which helps me be at ease. She’s very friendly. She listens well. She does what you ask and she made sure my dog was comfortable having toys and everything she needed after playing outside. When I am in Utah and I wanna go to the temple again, I plan on having this lady watch my Service dog again

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
