About: Talley’s House has two adults that work from home, two teenage dog loving sons, and two pups, Talley (12+) and Oz (2) that love to meet and play with new friends! We have a great setup for dogs of all types, and we would love to watch your dog(s)! We acknowledge we may not be right for everyone. Please read all the details in our profile to determine if our home is right for you. We work from home - pet care is baked into our daily/weekly routine. A TYPICAL DAY: 7:00-8:30 a.m. interactive playtime (fetch, tug-of-war, etc. ) 8:30-9:00 a.m. morning feeding and rest 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. open playtime - we work while the dogs play. They come in an out freely while we supervise from our workstation. We group dogs as needed. See the safety, trust & environment section for details. 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. treats and training followed by quiet time in kennels 4:00 - 6:00 p.m interactive playtime round 2 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. evening feeding and quiet time in kennels 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. final playtime and bedtime routine (treats and training) 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. bedtime in kennels We prefer pickup/dropoff times between 7:00 - 10:00 a.m or 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. so we can devote time to helping the dogs adjust to the environment and their temporary pack. The only thing we need from you at drop off is their food in a ZIPLOC w INSTRUCTIONS WRITTEN on it. If needed, bring a small blanket or toy with the scent of home. We do NOT need beds, food dishes, or leash. We engage in activities that stimulate their prey drive (fetch, tug-of-war...), play drive (playtime with Talley, Ozzy, and other guests), and work on training behaviors a couple of times a day, as appropriate. They are out of the kennel interacting with dogs and people most of the day. In order for your dog to have a great experience, they need to play well with other dogs and be comfortable spending time in a kennel. SAFETY & TRUST: We have been trained in behavior recognition to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. When we have multiple guests, we group dogs as needed (by age, size, "fixed" or not, temperament, and/or energy level) to optimize the experience for each guest. We feed them in a kennel to ensure food isn't shared and give them quiet time after meals to ensure they have adequate time to digest before playing again. We expect our guests to be up to date with their vaccinations. When a new dog arrives give them time to explore on their own, then we gradually introduce them to other dogs to assess temperament and compatibility. That is the reason we prefer to limit the pickup and dropoff windows so we can devote that critical time. Please see availability for more info on times. ENVIRONMENT: We have a dedicated space both indoors and outdoors for the dogs. Inside we have an air-conditioned apartment dedicated to the dogs. They have a couch, area rug, background music, and their own 4x4, 4x6, or 5x5 kennel. We reserve a corner for a workstation where we work during the day. Outside we have a fenced area for the dogs with turf and toys. We setup a canopy for extra shade on hot sunny days since we don't have natural shade from trees yet. We wet the turf down on hot days to ensure it's comfortable for the dogs as well.

About: I have had pets all my life, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds. You name it, I have probably had it. I love all pets but especially dogs! I have taken all the dogs I have own to training and love being with them. I own 2 dogs now. 1 is named Koda and she is a full golden retriever and the other is Lucy, she is a Golden retriever/ Lab mix. They are indoor lovable dogs. I believe that dogs are apart of the family, so in my house they are allowed to be on the furniture to cuddled with! I am a stay at home mom and have 2 dogs. Your dogs will be walked (when it is not crazy hot out) Loved on and played with while you are away! I am happy to send daily pictures of your pups if you would like! I have a fenced yard for them to play in. A crate for your pups bed if you are more comfortable with them in one rather than on a bed or couch. I have 2 dogs for yours to play with and 3 kids, aged 11,13 and 15 who love and respect dogs. I love to play fetch with dogs and other games. We even have a small splash pool for the dogs to play in.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, birds, lizards, small rodents, fish, and even frogs! Over the years, I’ve cared not only for my own pets but also for the pets of neighbors and family members while they’re away. I treat every animal I care for with love, patience, and attention, making sure they feel safe, happy, and included—just like a member of our family. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, walks, or keeping up with their routines, I’m committed to giving your pets the care and affection they deserve. We go on at least two walks a day, I send daily updates and pictures and keep owners very up-to-date on everything. I plan to open my own pet boarding and grooming business someday as well. I am a work from home mother, where I work at nights after my children as asleep. I already walk and play and train our family dog so when I watch other pets it works in nicely into what I already do. I try to walk my dog (or any that I am tending) two times a day and give regular play time and affection to. I have a fenced yard and a very kind and loving dog to keep your furry friend company. She does well with both dogs and cats, but obviously take precautions when they are getting used to each other. She plays well with other dogs. My children as also very gentle with pets and help me to feed, water and clean dishes daily. I allow them to help where safe, and make sure that the pets we watch are always safe from any human or other animal.

About: I have over 7 years caring for dogs. I’ve had multiple dogs of my own and have fostered for a local rescue here in Utah. I’ve cared for senior dogs, dogs with illnesses like cancer and puppies. I currently have 1 dog of my own (Chomper), who was a foster fail. I’ve always treated my dogs like my children and will do the same for your pups. I currently work from home most days (besides Wednesday), so I am home the majority of the time. During the day, your dogs will get play time and walks. We live in a townhome with a doggy door and tall fences in the back, so your dogs can go outside whenever they'd like. My husband and I are home a lot on the weekends and spend a large amount of time with the dogs. Safety always comes first for me for any pups. By working from home, it allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs. From my experience with multiple dogs and fostering, I’ve learned what body language to watch out for and what items to keep away. The fences in the back area of our townhome are close to 6 feet, which helps keep dogs secure while enjoying outside.

About: I’m a stay at home mom to 5 kids and a cat, and have been a dog breeder for 7 years. I am *very* experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I do full grooms on my big shaggy dogs and for friends’ dogs as well. We are an energetic and active family and love to take the pups for walks and hikes. I am an avid reader and have a bachelor’s degree in genetics & biotechnology. Our dog passed away and my breeding dogs live in guardian homes, so now we only have a cat who mostly hides from dogs and minds her own business. As a full- time stay at home mom, my schedule is very flexible and I’m home most of the day. Dogs can go in and outside to our fenced yard as much as they want all day long. I have a fenced yard and live on a large wild ravine that we hike regularly. My kids have lived all of their lives with dogs and puppies in our home, so they are confident and gentle with them. Because of my experience with breeding, I can administer shots and oral medications, and am comfortable with female dogs in heat.

About: I have watched dogs ever since I was a kid, helping to feed, bathe, and play with them. I have watched small and big dogs, as well as puppies and older dogs! My favorite way to spend my free time is watching dogs because I miss watching mine. I would love to care for your beloved pet! I currently don’t work, so I have plenty of time to watch your pets! I’m available for boarding and walking every day of the week and would love to help wherever needed. I use my parents' home for boarding; they have a fenced yard and plenty of room to play. I also keep in mind that I have a small Yorkie poo and a sheepadoodle at home. As for clients' homes, I understand the importance of cleanliness and will leave the house better than when I arrived while taking great care of your pet. I also try my best to keep up to date on anything that can be bad for your dogs and keep them safe, because I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone you don't know. About: I have a loving family of six with AWESOME indoor and outdoor space to take great care of your furry besties. I am home most days and nights full time. 3 of our kids homeschool, and assist with much of the work and care. I’ve cared for pets large and small, young and senior, my whole life. Thank you for understanding! 🐾 Your dog will be cared for in a loving family-centered home with lots of attention, play, and all-day supervision while you’re away. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will be part of our daily home life. They’ll enjoy a balance of play, rest, and daily walks (up to 3 miles, always adjusted to your dog’s needs and comfort level).
