Zoe and Jacob watched our two dogs at our house for one night. They were so great! They sent us pictures of the pups and gave us updates. Our 2 dogs looked like they loved their company from the photos we got! 🙃 Thanks you!

We LOVED having Adrian house/dog sit for us! She was very responsive and sent me lots of updates/photos/videos. I also appreciate her ability to be flexible when my flight was cancelled at the last moment. My dogs were well taken care of and seemed VERY happy while I was away, my house was spic and span when I got home. We will absolutely have Adrian as a sitter again.

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!

Kylie lives in an apartment on the ground floor. She does have a small patio, however, this should not stop you from hiring Kylie, You'll know your furry friend will get lots of walks. Kylie has also house-sat for us, and we could not have been happier. She was quick to call if she had any concerns, and she even looked after my chickens!!! We look forward to hiring Kylie again with the need arises.

Mark was fantastic! We have a loveable golden retriever with some health issues and we are definitely anxious dog parents. It was so nice to know our pup was in good hands while we were gone. Mark came over for a meet 'n greet beforehand, was great about sending updates, was reliable with all of Maui's medical needs, chill about our helicopter parenting, and so sweet and loving toward our doggo. And he took good care of our house too. We would recommend him to all dog parents! :)

During our meet and greet with Kelsey, she blew us out of the water! I was so impressed with how she handled and interacted with our 3 dogs. We have a very grumpy old man who doesn't take to new people very well. Kelsey greeted them, loved on them and was not intimidated by Jake at all. Jake was friends with her by the end of our meet and greet. The two little ones took to her as well. In addition to Jake, Gemma was in heat and I was grateful Kelsey had experience with that and I didn't have to worry about messes while we were gone. We booked her that night. She stayed in our home with them while we were on vacation out of country. We also have chickens and I was grateful she was more than happy to tend to them as well. It was such a blessing to know that our home, fur babies and chickens were being watched and cared for. I received daily updates from her and countless pictures. I LOVED THAT!! Kelsey made sure the house was clean and tidied for when we arrived home, she even washed and folded all of Gemma's diapers. I can't rave enough about how amazing and perfect Kelsey was and is for our family. We have already booked with her for our summer trip and have a grooming appointment with her. Thanks a million times over Kelsey!! We can't wait to see you again!

A very caring sitter in a calm environment, which is what my elderly dog needs. Charlie has quite a few medicines, including three eyedrops. Darlena took it all in stride. I especially appreciated her letting Charlie sleep with her as he's used to cuddling overnight. Already scheduling two more stays for Charlie and have recommended her to a friend.

Makenzie is amazing! I booked her on short notice, and she went out of her way to make sure we met and felt comfortable. We have three dogs—two Boston Terriers and a French Bulldog puppy—and she handled everything beautifully. I really appreciate her being upfront, and her rates are very reasonable. She followed the walking, medication, and feeding schedule perfectly. Makenzie is kind, responsible, and clearly loves animals. When we came home, the house was clean, she had even washed her own sheets, and most importantly—the dogs were well taken care of. I will definitely reach out to her again!

From start to finish, I truly couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Emily she went above and beyond. I was initially nervous about leaving Oakley, but she quickly put my mind at ease by following his regimented schedule to a tee. Her attention to detail and genuine care were truly exceptional. She kept me updated with regular photos and took Oakley on long walks each day. Thanks to Emily, I was able to relax knowing he was in the best hands possible. I highly recommend her

We booked Alaina for pet and house sitting for a few weeks. Alaina was super sweet to meet up a couple times before booking for introductions and instructions, which we appreciated! Our kitty seemed to be happy and healthy with her upon our return and I didn’t worry a lot while on vacation! Alaina communicated with us daily over text. Our apartment was left decently clean when we got back.

We had a great experience with Brooklyn during her 4-night stay in our home with our two chocolate labs. From the start, communication was clear and reliable, which made it easy to feel comfortable while we were away. She treated our home with respect and left everything clean and in order. Most importantly, our dogs were well cared for and genuinely seemed happy and relaxed when we returned. It was clear they received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I would absolutely trust her again with both our home and our dogs, and would recommend Brooklyn to anyone looking for dependable and thoughtful care.

FAQs for House Sitting - Provo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Provo on Rover is $34.62 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,498 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Provo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Provo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Provo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Provo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Provo. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
