“Zoe was incredible!! I am with my dog pretty much 24/7 so to say that I had anxiety leaving him was an understatement. Zoe and Jacob did such an incredible job taking care of Canelo for the two weeks that I was gone that it eased all my worries! I would recommend her to anyone as she takes care of dogs as if they were her own. I am so grateful for all that they did!!!”

“Adrian does a great job with our aging dog. She is responsible and gives me daily updates. She is thoughtful and good at giving medication. I would highly recommend Adrian.”

“Jacob was amazing! We had him stay over and watch our dogs for a few days while we went on vacation. my dogs adored him, he followed all directions, communicated well, sent me many photos and left my house just like we left it. I would highly recommend Jacob to care for your dogs. I will definitely be using him again.”

“Makenzie was amazing! She took care of our two huskies and our cat for a week. She kept us updated and responded fast! We can back to a clean home and well taken care of pets! She went above and beyond and we really appreciate it! Great peace of mind!”

“Maria was absolutely wonderful with our guy! She kept us updated, communicated so thoughtfully, and took such loving care of our pup and home. We feel so lucky to have had her and will definitely be calling on her again in the future.”

About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I just graduated from BYU after studying elementary education & psychology, and I'm looking for some extra time with animals as well as to help pay for daily expenses. I love cats in particular, as I grew up with 2 at home and volunteered in the cat room of an animal shelter. But I also love dogs and have been a dog-sitter many times before. I often have treats and toys to bring with me and I always send daily updates on how your pet is doing so you can stay informed. I love to go for walks in the park and if your pet does too, I think we'd be a great match. :) If you'd like to book, send me a message! I'm working at an elementary school right now during the mornings & afternoons but I typically have availability in the evenings M-F from about 3pm-9pm, and more on weekends, depending on the week. I am a responsible and cautious person and I will keep your pet's safety as the #1 priority. I will take into account specific health needs as well as general needs.
“Catie was a wonderful dog sitter! Our dog normally gets depressed when we travel and she'll not eat. It's been a game changer having Catie dog sit at the house. Our dog actually ate and was happy! She left a sweet note and took great care of not only the dog, but the house as well. Thanks Catie!! We'll definitely be rebooking.”

“Mark was amazing with our 3 dogs. We were very hesitant to leave them with someone we didn't know for a week and a half. But, Mark was so great to come over beforehand to meet us and meet the girls to make sure it was going to be a good fit for everyone. Mark was great with asking questions and making sure he understood our expectations before we left. While at our house, he did all the dogs' favorite things with them - long walks, runs, rides in the truck, snuggles on the couch. He kept us posted with pictures and videos and updates. When we got home, he had the house looking even better than we'd left it. We will definitely be looking to Mark first whenever we need someone to care for our girls.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Was very happy how easy it was. Ashley was great and took good care of both Chance and my place. Would totally use Ashley again and would recommend her to any dog owner.”

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!
“Hannah took great care of my boys and went above and beyond when there was a small mishap (100% my fault) at the beginning of her stay. She also accommodated an extension of my trip without hesitation. My home was in great shape when I returned and she provided updates to ease my mind while away. Thank you, Hannah!”

“A very caring sitter in a calm environment, which is what my elderly dog needs. Charlie has quite a few medicines, including three eyedrops. Darlena took it all in stride. I especially appreciated her letting Charlie sleep with her as he's used to cuddling overnight. Already scheduling two more stays for Charlie and have recommended her to a friend.”

“Brody was professional, responsive, and communicative. He got along so well with my big, energetic dogs and took good care of our home. I’ll definitely book with him again!”

“Kylie lives in an apartment on the ground floor. She does have a small patio, however, this should not stop you from hiring Kylie, You'll know your furry friend will get lots of walks. Kylie has also house-sat for us, and we could not have been happier. She was quick to call if she had any concerns, and she even looked after my chickens!!! We look forward to hiring Kylie again with the need arises.”

“Jonah was spectacular!! My Winston was very well cared for and loved on while I was gone. In addition, my house remained clean and Jonah even put the sheets in to wash and dry! He maintained the security of my home and was super respectful. Hoping to make him my "go to" sitter!”

About: I’ve cared for many kinds of animals since I was a child – dogs, cats, a bird, reptiles and amphibians, fish, even cattle. Wide variety and depth of experience. I currently work from home, and occasionally run errands, but otherwise, I’m always nearby to attend to the pet’s needs. There’s always at least someone home to take care of our animals. I have a fenced backyard with shade. There’s plenty of space in the house to accommodate guests. My dogs are crate-trained and play well with other dogs.

Jacob is our trusted favorite! I feel comfortable hiring Jacob to watch my girl for a week while I was out of the country. He sent me lots of updates and made sure she was exercised, happy, and healthy. I appreciate the way he treats my dog. He tends to her quirks and entertains her and loves her just as I do. It’s very reassuring to have Jacob around. Definitely a consistent and respectful person. My Lucy and I will continue to book if he’s available!

Maria was amazing! She did such a good job and sent lots of update pictures and videos. She stayed at our house while we were away and that was very nice to have the in home care. We went to clean up the room after she left and it was already done. You couldn't even tell she had stayed because it was so clean. We can't wait to use her again.

We booked Alaina for pet and house sitting for a few weeks. Alaina was super sweet to meet up a couple times before booking for introductions and instructions, which we appreciated! Our kitty seemed to be happy and healthy with her upon our return and I didn’t worry a lot while on vacation! Alaina communicated with us daily over text. Our apartment was left decently clean when we got back.

Kailee is very responsible and responsive. She took great care of our senior dog for 3 weeks. She kept us informed very regularly, providing pictures and videos of him. She really loves dogs, and I feel like our dog will be missing her because he received lots of attention from her.

Kylie is a fantastic house sitter / cat sitter! She treated our home and shy cat like her own. She was very communicative, extremely responsible and excellent all around. I am certain our home was cleaner when we returned than when we left. We highly recommend Kylie!

We had a great experience with Brooklyn during her 4-night stay in our home with our two chocolate labs. From the start, communication was clear and reliable, which made it easy to feel comfortable while we were away. She treated our home with respect and left everything clean and in order. Most importantly, our dogs were well cared for and genuinely seemed happy and relaxed when we returned. It was clear they received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I would absolutely trust her again with both our home and our dogs, and would recommend Brooklyn to anyone looking for dependable and thoughtful care.

Best sitter yet! It usually takes lil miss pup pup a while before she feels comfortable…with anyone. With Brooklynn, puppy was jumping on her and laying on her back asking for belly rubs. Pup pup truly felt so comfortable and content with her, I’d definitely recommend her to anyone!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Provo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Provo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Provo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
