We LOVED having Adrian house/dog sit for us! She was very responsive and sent me lots of updates/photos/videos. I also appreciate her ability to be flexible when my flight was cancelled at the last moment. My dogs were well taken care of and seemed VERY happy while I was away, my house was spic and span when I got home. We will absolutely have Adrian as a sitter again.

This was our first time using Rover. I'm very happy with the service and would use it again. I can see why Brody has such a great score here. He was conscientious, great communication and our three pets seemed happy and well adjusted when we got home.

About: I've grown up with cats and the occasional dog boarding. As an adult I've only recently started caring for pets personally again. We have a cane corso & rhodesian ridgeback mixed puppy, a shih tzu / pekinese drama queen as well as several indoor cats. We also have goats, ducks, bunnies, and quail outdoors. Indoors we have caged geckos, chameleon, parakeets, chinchilla, axolotl, fish, snails, shrimp, and aquatic frogs. I work full time so boarding on weekends is easier for me, but weeknights can work depending on the week. I can do early morning or evening walks. I have a fenced yard, we also have a gated living room that we sit in with the dogs when we are all inside together.

We recently had the pleasure of booking Grady through Rover while we were away for 10 days, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Grady provided exceptional care and attention to our pups. He kept us updated with consistent communication and regular photos, which gave us such peace of mind while we were on vacation. Not only did he treat our dogs like his own, but he was also incredibly respectful of our home. Everything was just as we left it (if not cleaner) and our dogs were calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when we returned. Grady truly went above and beyond, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy, attentive dog / house sitter. We’ll absolutely be reaching out to him again in the future!

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!

She left the house neat , and left very little footprint . She was nice and curtious . My dog seemed to do great with her and was no worse for wear when we returned so I think it want well . I would have her house sit again .

About: Since 2016, I’ve gained experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I started pet sitting as a teen for family and friends! When I moved to college I always expressed my love for dogs and was offered a few different month long positions that led me to pet sitting full time! I built a large clientele in Cedar City from 2020-2025. Including dogs, cats, birds, chickens, and horses! Whether your pet loves long walks, extra playtime, snuggles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I have experience with lots of different breeds of dogs, administering medications, anxious dogs, and puppies. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so communication is a top priority for me. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. For the summer time pet care is my full time job, during the school year I work 8-2 and my local elementary school. I am also a full time online graduate student. Most of my free time after taking care of your pets is spent studying. I love doing an in home visit before I watch your animals to make sure I understand the routine. I ask that you leave a detailed note for me to review while you are away to ensure I am providing the correct care for your animals. I prioritize their routine and schedule my plans or routines around them. I am known to leave your house the way I found it. I’ve had owners worried I didn’t make myself comfortable by how clean I left the place!

Liz's care was everything a special needs dog required. Stella is not only a nervous nelly but her underlying medical condition requires she stay away from other dogs and gets her medication as prescribed. Liz was calming and caring for our Stella and for me who worried about leaving Stella with a new person. Liz followed the long list of instructions accurately and was right on time for Stella's meet and greet and for the start of the week's care. It was especially amazing that Liz was available over Christmas and cheerful about "working" during the holiday. She even was willing to stay longer for Stella's care when our return flight got canceled, and I was pleased she upheld her commitment to her next booking even though she was very sorry she couldn't extend for us. Our home was in excellent condition when we returned. Stella was happy and well cared for under Liz's care. Liz communicated and sent pictures daily. Stella and I will be looking Liz's way for Stella's care when I am out of town again.

I came home to a clean house and happy pups! She even deep cleaned the water bowls voluntarily. I have never seen these bowls shine so bright before. 🤣 I highly recommend Madelyn and would love to book again with her in the future

Allison was amazing! She was dependable, responsible, and took great care of my dog, Jojo, while I was away. She kept in constant communication and followed my instructions perfectly. I really appreciated all the pictures and videos she sent of Jojo. She took Jojo on three walks a day, which was more than I expected. Since my dog loves walks, she was in heaven while Allison was caring for her. Allison also took excellent care of my house and left everything clean and organized. She even washed the sheets before leaving. I will definitely book her again in the future!

Rebecca was very easy to work and communicate with! We scheduled a couple visits before the house sitting to have her meet our dog Archie, and he instantly loved her which relieved a ton of stress! She stayed at our house with him and gave multiple photo updates of him. She kept the house clean/the same as how we left it and even ran the laundry, had the dishes in the dishwasher, and took out the trash before we got back! :) We loved working with Rebecca and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! 😊

FAQs for House Sitting - Wing

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wing on Rover is $38.52 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,632 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wing. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
