“Adrian does a great job with our aging dog. She is responsible and gives me daily updates. She is thoughtful and good at giving medication. I would highly recommend Adrian.”

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!
“Brody was professional, responsive, and communicative. He got along so well with my big, energetic dogs and took good care of our home. I’ll definitely book with him again!”

“Catie was a wonderful dog sitter! Our dog normally gets depressed when we travel and she'll not eat. It's been a game changer having Catie dog sit at the house. Our dog actually ate and was happy! She left a sweet note and took great care of not only the dog, but the house as well. Thanks Catie!! We'll definitely be rebooking.”

“Mark was amazing with our 3 dogs. We were very hesitant to leave them with someone we didn't know for a week and a half. But, Mark was so great to come over beforehand to meet us and meet the girls to make sure it was going to be a good fit for everyone. Mark was great with asking questions and making sure he understood our expectations before we left. While at our house, he did all the dogs' favorite things with them - long walks, runs, rides in the truck, snuggles on the couch. He kept us posted with pictures and videos and updates. When we got home, he had the house looking even better than we'd left it. We will definitely be looking to Mark first whenever we need someone to care for our girls.”

“Zoe was incredible!! I am with my dog pretty much 24/7 so to say that I had anxiety leaving him was an understatement. Zoe and Jacob did such an incredible job taking care of Canelo for the two weeks that I was gone that it eased all my worries! I would recommend her to anyone as she takes care of dogs as if they were her own. I am so grateful for all that they did!!!”

About: I’ve cared for many kinds of animals since I was a child – dogs, cats, a bird, reptiles and amphibians, fish, even cattle. Wide variety and depth of experience. I currently work from home, and occasionally run errands, but otherwise, I’m always nearby to attend to the pet’s needs. There’s always at least someone home to take care of our animals. I have a fenced backyard with shade. There’s plenty of space in the house to accommodate guests. My dogs are crate-trained and play well with other dogs.
“Jonah was spectacular!! My Winston was very well cared for and loved on while I was gone. In addition, my house remained clean and Jonah even put the sheets in to wash and dry! He maintained the security of my home and was super respectful. Hoping to make him my "go to" sitter!”

“She was great. Our dog was a little nervous in general but after a little bit she at least was okay with her being in the same house. Beth did a great job with her helping to keep her calm and never did anything to upset her. Great job!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She stayed in our home for a week while we were on vacation and took amazing care of our French Bulldog, Tomas. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in his own environment with someone who truly cared for him. She kept us updated with messages and photos, followed all of Tomas’s routine and instructions, and treated our home with respect. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a house that was just as clean as when we left. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals, and Tomas was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter.”

About: I grew up with a Great Pyrenees. So naturally, I’m very good with bigger dogs. I currently work in a veterinary clinic so I have experience with the medical side when it comes to caring for your pets. i’ve had to help an emergency situations and I’ve also had to clean up many different messes so I promise I’m equipped to handle any happy accidents. I’ve watched a lot of smaller and medium size dogs for family and friends as well. I know how diffuse potentially dangerous situations among dogs, since my dog growing up was not very dog friendly. I know how to approach and react to situations with all sizes. I live with 5 dogs right now, 4 of them being over 100lbs, and 1 being 5lbs. I promise I will take amazing care of your beloved fur babies!! I am a sophomore in college. I go to Utah Valley University and I am studying Zoology. I also have a job at a veterinary clinic. I will always make sure your furbabies are taken care of and loved. I am very respectful of everyone’s homes and of your pets safe spaces. I always clean up after your pet and make sure your home clean (I used to work for a cleaning company so trust me I know how to keep things squeaky clean)!
“My dog Lilo absolutely loves Kendra. It is so comforting to know that your pet is well taken care of while you are away on vacation. Pet sitting or housesitting, I would book her again and again.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Was very happy how easy it was. Ashley was great and took good care of both Chance and my place. Would totally use Ashley again and would recommend her to any dog owner.”

About: I have a retired service dog, and can do both sitting at your home and boarding at mine. I have watched both small and large dogs, as well as cats, reptiles, and rodents. I use to work at a farm with horses, and know my way around critters both great and small. I can provide outdoor baths if the weather is above 60 degrees, and some light training if wanted. I am in college taking classes from 10 to 1, and also work as a janitor for a school, working from 4 to 7. I am not home on Sunday mornings for about 2 hours, due to church, so any dogs will need to be OK being home alone either in a crate or loose in a room for that time period. I have my retired service dog, Wiley, who is very friendly with other dogs. I have a indoor grass patch that dogs can use, as well as the lead line i can put them out on. I am not able to walk very well, so can't do long walks, but I have a good arm and can throw a ball for 20 minutes several times a day, in the park near my house. I can provide a hose bath provided the temperature is above 60 degrees, and can use my large car to go to dog parks. Dogs are allowed on the bed, but will sleep in a crate if that is how they sleep at home. I have bones for dogs to chew on, and plenty of toys. I dont allow balls in the house, my dog has learned how to throw them himself to chase.
“Hannah took great care of my boys and went above and beyond when there was a small mishap (100% my fault) at the beginning of her stay. She also accommodated an extension of my trip without hesitation. My home was in great shape when I returned and she provided updates to ease my mind while away. Thank you, Hannah!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Orem
First time using Rover and I for sure got the best dog sitter. It was my first time leaving my puppy and I couldn’t have been more relaxed. Shanika did a fabulous job keeping me updated. She even kept his schedule which can be a little high maintenance! 10/10 recommend!

Tyler is exceptional — we can’t recommend him highly enough. From the moment we met Tyler, it was clear our girls, Lilly and Luna, were in wonderful hands. Both are high-energy Aussies, and Tyler matched that energy with genuine enthusiasm — playing with them, keeping them engaged, and clearly enjoying every minute with them. What stood out most was Tyler’s communication. He sent us updates proactively, without us ever having to ask — a small thing that made a huge difference in giving us peace of mind while we were away. Tyler is kind, reliable, and treats your pets like his own. If you’re looking for a sitter who’s attentive, communicative, and genuinely loves dogs, Tyler is the one to book.

We booked Alaina for pet and house sitting for a few weeks. Alaina was super sweet to meet up a couple times before booking for introductions and instructions, which we appreciated! Our kitty seemed to be happy and healthy with her upon our return and I didn’t worry a lot while on vacation! Alaina communicated with us daily over text. Our apartment was left decently clean when we got back.

Michelle was amazing with Mochi while I was away! She stayed overnight during my trip and sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. She went above and beyond by doing little extras like turning on cat TV for Mochi while she was away. When I came home, Mochi was in such a better mood than she has been after other trips, and I could tell she felt comfortable and cared for. I would absolutely book Michelle again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Orem walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Orem maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Orem choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
