“We traveled with absolute peace of mind knowing that Sheyla was taking care of Sam! She send many updates throughout our travel week including pictures which we greatly appreciated. Will 100% book again in the future!”

“Jordynn is awesome! It is the first time we used Rover for boarding our furbaby and it is a great experience. She let us go over their place a week before boarding for our furbaby to meet them and they agreed. Also very responsive and gave us photos! Our furbaby enjoyed his time and we will definitely board Poe here again!”

“Crystal was so great with my dog. I went out of town for two weeks. And I got constant updates, and pictures. My dog is hard at times, but crystal did a great job with her! I would totally recommend her!”

“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“Tess was awesome and I had such a great experience with her and her family watching my dog, Chi Chi. She was super friendly, communicative, and kept in contact with me the entire time, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She sent me tons of pictures and videos throughout the stay, and I loved being able to see Chi Chi having fun and playing at the dog park with other dogs. It was honestly really comforting and cute to see her so happy and comfortable. You can truly tell Tess cares about the pets she watches and makes sure they feel safe and loved while they’re with her. I definitely felt like my dog was in good hands the whole time. I would absolutely recommend booking with Tess, and I’d be happy to use her services again in the future!”

“5 stars for Jose and Jessica! Fantastic experience for our bulldog and for us! We enjoyed a worry-free weekend with our dog in such good hands. They sent many photos, responded to every inquiry, and took excellent care of our pet. Highly recommend! We will be using their kind services again.”

“Nicole took such good care of my dog. She sent daily updates & I swear he was smiling in every picture. Her house was clean & well taken care of which is super important to me. 10/10 recommend trusting her with your pup.”

“Pam took excellent care of our little Lucy girl, she was very accommodating and warm/friendly from start to finish. Reassured us With pics that her visit was going well. I look forward to using her again. 😁”

“Lindsey was INCREDIBLE! We have our pack of 3 ladies who each have their individual needs and personality types. Lindsey customized care and accommodated each of them throughout their stay perfectly. First, our Borador who is high energy and very social got daily walks during her stay. She had a big backyard full of room and spots to explore. A big dog door that she could can come in and go out as needed. And other high energy friends there to play til she dropped everyday. Second, our pittie who is geriatric, and the sweetest girl. But very low energy, and an extremely picky eater. She took all the care in the world at meal times to adjust her food to get her excited to eat. She made homemade treats and frozen bone broth cubes that Luna LOVED! And even cooked some meat for her to get her excited about eating outside of her normal house and routine. She had her bed inside that Luna could take her snoozes. But also the dog door allowed this sweet sun pup to go out and sun bath during the day as she pleased. Lastly, our geriatric Pom-chi who loves all humans and wants nothing to do with other animals. She took incredible care in giving her all the personal love and attention. Took her into the office with her during the day, gave her plenty of spots to nest and snuggle by herself or with the humans in her household. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day throughout their stay. And she even sent us home with doggie bags of her homemade treats. Our pack are our babies, and with that comes anxiety anytime take them away from their routines and leave them with others. This is my second time using Rover. While the first (with a different boarder) was fine… Lindsey made this experience EXCEPTIONAL! We will only prefer to leave the girls with Lindsey going forward. THANK YOU!!!”

“Our experience with Greg has been great! My dog received excellent, tentative care. We even rebooked a couple weeks later and I did not worry about my pet once because I knew he was being well cared for and loved.”

“Krista was amazing! Her communication was fantastic and we were so grateful for the daily check-ins and photos! We felt so comfortable knowing our Scout was being looked after with so much love and attention!”

“Duke has the best time at Shane’s house!! His backyard is paradise for my golden retriever. It’s fully fenced and the grass is so thick and green and Duke loves to fetch the ball and play with Shane’s dog, Copper. And despite already having a golden retriever himself, his house is very tidy and clean. I’m so grateful to have Shane watching Duke while we are away. We keep rebooking him and it gives me so much peace of mind to leave my dog with someone I trust. Duke comes home really happy and content, and I love knowing that Duke is not only in good hands, but he wants to be at Shane’s house. Duke is insanely strong and he’s a big dog and sheds a lot, but that was no problem for Shane. He’s the best!!”

“Super great sitter, Jax had a great time. Maddie was so helpful to take Jax at the last moment so we could feel at ease going to a family funeral. She gave us great updates and we could instantly tell that he was in good hands.”

“Kayla was great! Needed someone last minute and she came through for us! Our puppy had a great time. She sent pictures and was great at communicating. Appreciated all she did for our puppy!”

“Aleksandra was very responsive and took very good care of our dog. Her dog, Archie, is very friendly and seemed to get along with our dog. Highly recommend if you’re in the Livermore area!”

“I was super nervous about leaving Gunner with anyone since we have never left him with anyone besides family. Tiffany was awesome. I could not be happier. She sent updates and pictures daily. She sent updates daily. Gunner came home happy and calm. 100% recommend and would use again !”

“I love that she has herding dog experience (I have a high drive aussie). This was my first time leaving my dog with someone besides family and I felt much more confident leaving him with someone who has real dog experience, not someone who just 'loves dogs'. I also loved that she gave photo updates. Overall great experience and I'll be using her in the future.”

Rachel and her her family were amazing with our dog. She has such an open, beautiful, and welcoming space that was perfect for our dog to play. She sent regular updates and I could see that our dog felt right at home. I will definitely be using her Rachel and her family again as a stable sitter.

Jessica was wonderful! We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was well cared for. He was well fed, had plenty of activity, love, rest, and more. We could tell he was very happy being with Jessica. She sent regular updates and pictures. We will definitely be asking her to watch our dog again!

Jennie was the sweetest, most patient sitter with our overly excited lab. He had misbehaved and she was entirely gracious about the situation. I appreciated her forthright feedback about having to correct his behavior, and she still wanted to give him a scratch to say goodbye. You can definitely trust your pups with this family!. Great house, great yard, great people.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vanessa was absolutely amazing with our puppy and kitten during their two-week stay! She truly went above and beyond in caring for them. She also did a great job with grooming, and our pets came home happy and well taken care of. Our puppy had a few accidents, but Vanessa handled everything patiently and professionally. She even took him to the vet while we were away, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. We would definitely book with Vanessa again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
