“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“Maddie is awesome!!! We have never left our 1 year old Cavapoo Teddy before. He is so attached to us and we’re even more attached to him. She and her whole family treated Teddy like he was their own. Teddie loved her 2 dogs too. Maddie sent me several pictures to us during the 8 days we were gone. We were able to relax on our vacation because we weren’t worried about how Teddy was doing.”

“Jessica has taken amazing care of Benny twice now. I can tell how wonderful she is by how happy Benny is when I pick him up. (That’s not been the case with past Rover experiences at other households) She makes sure that he’s active and has fun and sends updates while we’re away. I appreciate the time and care she puts into our furry family member!”
“Jordynn was amazing dog sitter. She took great care of our dog. She sent updates and we know our dog was being loved and taken care of. I would highly recommend her. We definitely will be using her again.”

“Kelsey and Dustin were so great! They took great care of Joey, sent lots of pictures, and gave updates the entire time. My dog really liked the family and got along super well with their dog, Loki. Overall it was an amazing experience and we’ll definitely be asking for their help in the future 🌟”

“THE BEST!! Thank you Krista and family for watching our puppy. We know he was in great hands and got all the love and attention he gets from our home. Highly recommended!”

“Emily and her family are fabulous! We are convinced our dog Finn may love their family more than ours ☺️🐶🩵. Great with communication and updates for how he is doing with playtime and walks, etc. and very accommodating.”

“Stacey is amazing! We left our dog with her for two weeks while we traveled to Europe and she took amazing care of her. She sent photo/video updates frequently and you could tell our dog felt very comfortable in their home. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Pam was amazing She gave me regular updates while I was away. Absolutely spoiled my dog made sure she had blankets treats exercise and lots of interaction. She took special care of my geriatric dog Lots of medications and protocols because of her age. Pam is such an amazing care giver infact I’m pretty sure my dog wanted to stay ?? I will be using Pam again in the future and my pup will love to return to see Pam again. What an amazing experience to go on vacation and not worry at all about my pup. Thank you Pam You are wonderful.”

“Brittany was such a kind and patient sitter! My little Twig is very shy and timid and he warmed up to her and her family and seemed calm and happy when I got him. “Karlie is the best! We felt so good about leaving our precious boxer dog with her and their sweet family! I loved how she would send me pictures everyday and you could genuinely feel how much she cares about dogs! Our dog was so happy when he came home and we will definitely use her again!”

“Virginia and her family were amazing. The loved our dog like he was their own. They took him for daily walks and sent us pictures. Virginia was so flexible with pick up time and even went to a family event late so I could pick him up after our scheduled time. My dog was pout g when we got home because he had to leave his friends. We will definitely use them again. Thanks again!”

“Aaron and Laureen were fantastic! This was our first time using Rover and they made the entire experience comfortable and easy for us. Aaron communicated really well with us, updating and letting us know how Maggie was doing and adapting. Maggie looked great when we picked her up. Definitely recommend Aaron and Laureen!”

“We booked boarding pretty last minute for our two dogs. Sierra was responsive and sent me pictures (as I was nervous to leave them for the first time). Both dogs seemed happy and healthy upon being picked up. The dogs and their crates smelled heavily of cats- which is to be expected when Sierra owns that many, but if you have allergies to cats, you may want to go elsewhere. Otherwise, we had no issues and no complaints :)”

“Our Shih Tzu Rocky stayed with them for two weeks. He found a new friend in their sweet dog Penny. Clayton and Aubrey and their family welcomed him with open arms and sent pictures and videos along the way so we could see that Rocky was well cared for and happy. We didn’t worry a bit. They were flexible and cheerfully worked with when our trip changed a bit. We will definitely have them board Rocky again.”

“Kayla was great! Needed someone last minute and she came through for us! Our puppy had a great time. She sent pictures and was great at communicating. Appreciated all she did for our puppy!”

Rachel did an amazing job with Toby! Her family was super sweet and I can tell they all love dogs very much, and she sent update photos so I knew Toby had such a great time there. She was also super flexible about me coming to pick him up early which I really appreciated.

Jessica was wonderful! We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was well cared for. He was well fed, had plenty of activity, love, rest, and more. We could tell he was very happy being with Jessica. She sent regular updates and pictures. We will definitely be asking her to watch our dog again!

Jennie was the sweetest, most patient sitter with our overly excited lab. He had misbehaved and she was entirely gracious about the situation. I appreciated her forthright feedback about having to correct his behavior, and she still wanted to give him a scratch to say goodbye. You can definitely trust your pups with this family!. Great house, great yard, great people.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vanessa was absolutely amazing with our puppy and kitten during their two-week stay! She truly went above and beyond in caring for them. She also did a great job with grooming, and our pets came home happy and well taken care of. Our puppy had a few accidents, but Vanessa handled everything patiently and professionally. She even took him to the vet while we were away, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. We would definitely book with Vanessa again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
