“Perfect sitter! Rachel treated our pup like family during our overseas trip. She kept us updated with pictures and videos, and was super quick to respond on the app. We will definitely keep her in mind for future stays.”

“Kristen is FANTASTIC! Kristen and her family love dogs and took great care of ours. She took our dog on multiple walks each day, groomed her, gave her plenty of love, and sent pictures almost everyday. I will be using her again and again as our family goes on many trips each year.”

“I *almost* didn’t write a review because Courtney was SO GOOD, I didn’t want everyone to start booking with her and she fills up so much that I can’t get Marley back in! I found out she is new to Rover, but took care of my pup like she has been doing this her whole life. Her family is adorable and so sweet. We got lots of pictures and updates and I could tell from the pictures that they treated Marley like family. Courtney was flexible, accommodating and SO kind. She has a beautiful (and immaculate) home and an incredible, fully-fenced backyard. We already re-booked to have Marley stay with Courtney, so that should say something! Thank you again, Courtney and family! You guys were AMAZING!”
“She was absolutely amazing with watching my dog. She played with him and took him on lots of walks. She was such as sweetheart and took him on last minute because of an emergency for me. When I picked him up he was so tired, which was good.”

“Isabella and her family are definitely 5 stars and were so kind and sweet to our dog and loved her as much as we do. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. Isabella’s dog was also very gentle and playful with our dog. We will definitely use Isabella in the future. Highly recommend.”

“We only trust Andrea at this point with our pups! They treat them as their own and I appreciate how much they truly care for our doggos while we are away!”

“Kayla was great! Needed someone last minute and she came through for us! Our puppy had a great time. She sent pictures and was great at communicating. Appreciated all she did for our puppy!”

“Duke has the best time at Shane’s house!! His backyard is paradise for my golden retriever. It’s fully fenced and the grass is so thick and green and Duke loves to fetch the ball and play with Shane’s dog, Copper. And despite already having a golden retriever himself, his house is very tidy and clean. I’m so grateful to have Shane watching Duke while we are away. We keep rebooking him and it gives me so much peace of mind to leave my dog with someone I trust. Duke comes home really happy and content, and I love knowing that Duke is not only in good hands, but he wants to be at Shane’s house. Duke is insanely strong and he’s a big dog and sheds a lot, but that was no problem for Shane. He’s the best!!”

“Kuma had such a great experience boarding with Hao and Xiaochen! We received photos and videos of her visit and lots of updates. They took really good care of her and that brought us such ease of mind when we were away.”

“Aleta was amazing with both our pup and in sending pictures and keeping us updated. She made us feel so comfortable leaving Koda there and if we leave again, I will definitely be rebooking with her. Thank you for everything!”

“8 nights and I’m sure some long days, 3 male dogs, and one happy pet owner. Maddie was great! We didn’t worry at all, we just missed them and that happens when you love them as much as we do. She had good communication, a loving family, the will to walk them all, and a large fenced yard. Will definitely book again.”

“I highly recommend this sitter. She was amazing! Her family provided a safe and fun environment for our lab. They took him on regular walks and updated us throughout the week with pictures. We have definitely found a home away from home for our dog!”

“Karlie has a great setup and took awesome care of our pup. We didn’t have to worry about a long trip because we could tell that she knew exactly how to handle our dog and give him a routine.”

“We needed a last min sitter and decided to try Rover. We needed care the same day and I was afraid no one would answer but Joanna and Adam answered right away and were willing to take our dog. They gave us updates and took pictures for us to see she was ok. We could tell they gave her lots of attention and exercise. Will contact for suture outings!”

“Jeff and Anna were awesome with my dog! Great communication, and easy to work with. I love that it was just my dog and their dog! Rose is a great dog, and very friendly. Their house has everything that my dog needs with a backyard and even a kid to play ball with her!”

“Khalani was wonderful and sweet! She sent me updates on my dogs and let me know how they were doing! Drop off and pick up was great and my dogs got along with hers, which was a plus. Definitely recommend using her if you’re an anxious pet parent like I am, she was great.”

“Melody is incredibly friendly! She took such good care of our dogs and genuinely seemed to enjoy having them in her home . We received great updates and it was clear she was doing more than just taking care of our dogs . She walked them , brushed them, took them in the car. The whole family seemed to be involved and enjoying our dogs as well . Highly recommend her”

“Kristin was amazing with our little guy! She kept me updated with pictures and texts to show how he was doing. Since this was my first time leaving our little dog I was nervous but she invited me to come meet her first which reassured me a lot. Kovu had an amazing time there and got a ton of snuggles and walks there. No doubt about it Kristin is the best and would recommend her to everyone!!”

“We had a great experience with Jodi, Will definitely be using her again! She was great at sending videos and pictures. We knew our dogs were in great hands and were treated like her own.”

“So nice to know our puppy was being watched and taken care of rather than caged up. We got daily pictures and updates which was comforting for our kids. Will definitely use again next time we go out of town. Thank you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saratoga Springs
We had a great experience with Veronica! She watched our two dogs for three nights and kept us updated the whole time, which we really appreciated. After our meet and greet, we felt completely comfortable leaving them with her. It was obvious they were well taken care of, and we’ll definitely be booking with Veronica again. Highly recommend!

Lindsey is simply THE BEST!!! We had a human medical issue get in the way of a scheduled pickup, and she was so understanding and flexible with us. It all worked out in the end, but we are so grateful for Lindsey’s understanding. Reyka always comes home happy and tuckered out, and we sleep easy knowing she’s being loved on and taken care of!

Jordynn is awesome! It is the first time we used Rover for boarding our furbaby and it is a great experience. She let us go over their place a week before boarding for our furbaby to meet them and they agreed. Also very responsive and gave us photos! Our furbaby enjoyed his time and we will definitely board Poe here again!

Lindsey was wonderful with our two Siberian Huskies, Toby and Kira. Huskies aren't always the easiest dogs, but she handled them with confidence and knew exactly how to work through their adjustment period. She kept us updated, was honest about how they were settling in, and clearly understands dog behavior. It was a huge relief knowing they were safe and well cared for while we were away. They came home happy, healthy, and relaxed. We'd absolutely trust Lindsey with them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, experienced dog sitter.

Duke has the best time at Shane’s house!! Kylie Jo is so easy to leave my puppy with— she’s extra attentive and meets his every puppy need— socialization with Draper, walks, mental stimulation, plenty of cuddles and comfortable rest. He feels at home and always comes home happy. Looking forward to our next visit with her!

Desiree & Travis kept our pup for a week while we were out of town. They sent regular updates and communication was amazing. Roko came home happy and relaxed, you could tell he was well taking care of and loved. We will definitely use them again for any of our future needs.

Aleta was INCREDIBLE! I would leave 10 stars if possible. Booker my dog is very anxious and nervous with strangers so I was really worried about leaving him for a few days. I’ve never left him with anyone other than family. Aleta treated Booker like her own and I could tell right away that Booker felt right at home which put me at ease. She was quick to respond and give me updates, she also sent frequent photos. I would recommend Aleta to everyone! She is simply the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
