“Lindsey was INCREDIBLE! We have our pack of 3 ladies who each have their individual needs and personality types. Lindsey customized care and accommodated each of them throughout their stay perfectly. First, our Borador who is high energy and very social got daily walks during her stay. She had a big backyard full of room and spots to explore. A big dog door that she could can come in and go out as needed. And other high energy friends there to play til she dropped everyday. Second, our pittie who is geriatric, and the sweetest girl. But very low energy, and an extremely picky eater. She took all the care in the world at meal times to adjust her food to get her excited to eat. She made homemade treats and frozen bone broth cubes that Luna LOVED! And even cooked some meat for her to get her excited about eating outside of her normal house and routine. She had her bed inside that Luna could take her snoozes. But also the dog door allowed this sweet sun pup to go out and sun bath during the day as she pleased. Lastly, our geriatric Pom-chi who loves all humans and wants nothing to do with other animals. She took incredible care in giving her all the personal love and attention. Took her into the office with her during the day, gave her plenty of spots to nest and snuggle by herself or with the humans in her household. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day throughout their stay. And she even sent us home with doggie bags of her homemade treats. Our pack are our babies, and with that comes anxiety anytime take them away from their routines and leave them with others. This is my second time using Rover. While the first (with a different boarder) was fine… Lindsey made this experience EXCEPTIONAL! We will only prefer to leave the girls with Lindsey going forward. THANK YOU!!!”

“We only trust Andrea at this point with our pups! They treat them as their own and I appreciate how much they truly care for our doggos while we are away!”

“Super happy with our first Rover experience. I loved the photo and video updates. I know she was well loved and cared for. Jordan, was so kind and very accommodating. Thank you!”

“Kayla was great! Needed someone last minute and she came through for us! Our puppy had a great time. She sent pictures and was great at communicating. Appreciated all she did for our puppy!”

“I *almost* didn’t write a review because Courtney was SO GOOD, I didn’t want everyone to start booking with her and she fills up so much that I can’t get Marley back in! I found out she is new to Rover, but took care of my pup like she has been doing this her whole life. Her family is adorable and so sweet. We got lots of pictures and updates and I could tell from the pictures that they treated Marley like family. Courtney was flexible, accommodating and SO kind. She has a beautiful (and immaculate) home and an incredible, fully-fenced backyard. We already re-booked to have Marley stay with Courtney, so that should say something! Thank you again, Courtney and family! You guys were AMAZING!”
“Absolutely wonderful family and we are so grateful that our doggo was in good hands while we were gone! They sent picture updates daily and it looks like he had so much fun. We would have these guys watch him again in a heartbeat!”

“Kristen was so great with our little Camp! We had never left him before and she calmed all of our nerves. We received pictures and video updates every day we were gone and always felt reassured that he was being taken care of! Will for sure be sending our guy to Kristen again!”

“Jodi did an amazing job taking care of my two poochies. I was worried about our one runner, but after just one day Jodi made me feel at ease so I could focus on my vacation. She gave daily updates and her and her family clearly gave lots of love to my fur babies.”

“Jennie was very sweet. I appreciated her catering to Gus when it came to sleeping at night. I loved that she sent his photo and kept me informed on how he was doing. I appreciated her consideration when I couldn’t get back right at the original time.”

“We had an incredible experience with Antonella! She was amazing at sending photos, videos, and updates on our puppy. Our dog is still very much in the naughty puppy phase, but Antonella took such great care of her and is clearly very experienced, and worked so diligently with all the extra instructions we gave. Our dog got plenty of walks and love, and when we came to pick her up, I could tell she had fallen in love with Antonella and didn’t want to leave!”

“Our pup loved his stay with Veronica and Benjamin. They were very accommodating on a last minute booking and took the time to understand Shadow's needs, since he's a senior citizen. Would highly recommend using them for your dogsitting needs.”
“Virginia did an amazing job watching out 2 dogs. She was super accommodating to their needs and sent several updates of their stay. I would highly recommend anyone to use her to watch your precious dogs!”

“Kelsey and Dustin were absolutely the sweetest caretakers for our dog, Cece! This was our first experience using Rover, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. I was really nervous to leave our dog for the first time, but they made us feel really confident and comfortable with our decision. We got lots of picture and video updates. Their dog Loki was adorable and so friendly with our dog. I could tell that they were loving on her and making her feel special. 10/10 experience. Will for sure be using them again next time! Thank you Kelsey and Dustin!”

“Super great sitter, Jax had a great time. Maddie was so helpful to take Jax at the last moment so we could feel at ease going to a family funeral. She gave us great updates and we could instantly tell that he was in good hands.”

“Tess was awesome and I had such a great experience with her and her family watching my dog, Chi Chi. She was super friendly, communicative, and kept in contact with me the entire time, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She sent me tons of pictures and videos throughout the stay, and I loved being able to see Chi Chi having fun and playing at the dog park with other dogs. It was honestly really comforting and cute to see her so happy and comfortable. You can truly tell Tess cares about the pets she watches and makes sure they feel safe and loved while they’re with her. I definitely felt like my dog was in good hands the whole time. I would absolutely recommend booking with Tess, and I’d be happy to use her services again in the future!”

“Katie did a great job taking care of our Maggie. She was very good about sending pictures and communicating. Maggie was happy there and loved playing with the other dogs. It was great to have a place where I didn't have to worry about her at all!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saratoga Springs
I found myself in a bit of a quandary with a five month old Cavapoo and two week long trips back to back. I was a bit anxious to try Rover, but I found Jillian and noticed she had repeat sitting jobs and high ratings (5 Stars and has Star Sitter status). I provided her with Wick’s schedule and things to watch out for and she was super attentive, sent me pictures every day, and reported on how he was doing. He made fast friends with her dog - who is also a Cavapoo. You can tell when you walk into her beautiful home that the pets are a priority. I am so glad I found her and highly recommend her. She genuinely cares. I had a successful trip and Wick made new friends. Win win.

I can't say how happy and thankful we are to have found Niki. She takes amazing care of our pups and sends us daily updates and pictures. Our dogs have never been so happy and relaxed during a boarding experience, and from the pictures, it was obvious how enjoyed and spoiled they were. That relieved so much travel stress. Thank you!!

Jennifer's family and dog were absolutely the perfect match for my dog. He had so much fun at their house and they took such good care of him while I was away for the weekend. I could tell he was happy and completely comfortable with them and I had no worries while on vacation. He loved it at their house! And as a bonus, he gets along so well with their dog, Strider. Thank you!

Melody was so easy to work with and so kind. We knew our dog was well taken care of. We didn’t worry about him at all. She took the cutest pictures of him and was happy to work around our schedule of dropping him off and picking him up. He has a yard to play in and other friends to play with. He has the best time!

We had a great experience with Veronica! She watched our two dogs for three nights and kept us updated the whole time, which we really appreciated. After our meet and greet, we felt completely comfortable leaving them with her. It was obvious they were well taken care of, and we’ll definitely be booking with Veronica again. Highly recommend!

Lindsey was wonderful with our two Siberian Huskies, Toby and Kira. Huskies aren't always the easiest dogs, but she handled them with confidence and knew exactly how to work through their adjustment period. She kept us updated, was honest about how they were settling in, and clearly understands dog behavior. It was a huge relief knowing they were safe and well cared for while we were away. They came home happy, healthy, and relaxed. We'd absolutely trust Lindsey with them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, experienced dog sitter.

Kylie Jo is so easy to leave my puppy with— she’s extra attentive and meets his every puppy need— socialization with Draper, walks, mental stimulation, plenty of cuddles and comfortable rest. He feels at home and always comes home happy. Looking forward to our next visit with her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
