“We have had Jose and Jessica drop in on our babies on several occasions and they are trustworthy, punctual, and great with the dogs. Very professional and take the time to send of pictures of the pups and let us know how they are doing. We highly recommend.”

“Shirley kept us informed daily with pictures and comments about out kitty. You can tell she cared about our pet with the questions asked, and with the time she spent trying to play with our cat. Even when we weren't responsive she kept a very professional and loving care of our cat.”

“This was our first time connecting with Natalia and we noticed a few things. She is very transparent about the costs, her schedule, and wanting to meet us and our cats in person. We could tell she cares not only about earning a fast buck. I can get pretty picky about how our two cats are cared for. Pretty sure I’m the one that has separation anxiety, not our cats 😅. When she came over, she was very observant and asked lots of questions on our instructions. She was also very careful about making sure our cats didn’t bolt out the door. Our cats love to go outside so when a door opens, they want out asap. We really appreciated knowing we wouldn’t come home to a missing cat. We loved Natalia and would absolutely rebook.”

“I was super anxious to leave my fur babies for a week but Isabelle took such good care of them. I checked my petcams and they were happy and I really appreciated the daily report cards. I will definitely book Isabelle again because I know I can trust her to love and care for my "kids" and that means so much to me.”

“Alex did great helping with our two dogs while we were away. Great communication, on-time visits, and ensured they were well taken care of. He even placed our garbage cans in the street for trash day. Highly recommend!”
“1000% would recommend to anyone! Danny and Stacey are the BEST! It was our first time leaving our 3 dogs, and they made us feel so great about leaving them. They sent us videos and text updates at each visit and our dogs ended up being obsessed with them and it was so sweet to see how much they truly care about each dog. We will always be booking with Danny and Stacey going forward and now feel like we can actual travel again knowing our dogs are in great hands ❤️”

“We’ll keep rebooking Hailee to care for our cats. She is easy to communicate with, a very sweet person, and helps out with extra things while we’re away.”

“Ashley was wonderful! She took on our cats at the last minute and made she everything was taken care of. She was very sweet and even brought in some packages off my porch. My cats and I thank you!”

“She did a great job checking in on the cats and making sure they were good the whole time I was away. I got an update everyday on how they were doing and pictures. Would definitely choose her again whenever I have to leave on a vacation again.”

“Amazing! Thank you so much. Lela was perfect at checking in on the doggies and giving them attention and care! We will definitely ask again on any and all future trips. Peace of mind was everything. Handled a minor paw injury and made sure food and water were always full. Astrid and Vega were very well taken care of. Thanks again!”

About: I've grown up with cats and the occasional dog boarding. As an adult I've only recently started caring for pets personally again. We have a cane corso & rhodesian ridgeback mixed puppy, a shih tzu / pekinese drama queen as well as several indoor cats. We also have goats, ducks, bunnies, and quail outdoors. Indoors we have caged geckos, chameleon, parakeets, chinchilla, axolotl, fish, snails, shrimp, and aquatic frogs. I work full time so boarding on weekends is easier for me, but weeknights can work depending on the week. I can do early morning or evening walks. I have a fenced yard, we also have a gated living room that we sit in with the dogs when we are all inside together.
About: I grew up in North Carolina and recently moved to Utah with my husband for his job in the Army. I started dog sitting in college and have been dog sitting for friends since then. I have had dogs my entire life and horses. I have also worked with senior dogs. I am currently a stay at home puppy momma to a rambunctious Bernedoodle so I am free most weekdays until 6. I am also available some weekends with prior discussions. I am happy to come to your house and play with your pup, feed them, give medications (if needed) and take them for walks. I would love to learn everything that makes your pet special!
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was in middle school for family and friends and really just miss being around animals!! I love being outdoors and going on walks so might as well add some furry friends to the party! I’m a photographer and that’s my only job along with being a stay at home newlywed! I go on walks everyday and make it work with photography whenever I do have shoots so it really isn’t changing my schedule at all! I usually just keep an eye on whenever in my house and have a long hallway that’s super fun for fetch! There’s a big fielded area right next to me that people usually go and take their dogs out to to run around as well!
“Lexie was amazing and took such great care of our cats while we were gone! She gave us updates, sent photos, and put our mind at ease knowing our cats were in great hands. Thanks Lexie!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Went the extra mile to make our kitties feel loved. Janae spent time with them and played with them while also taking care of their needs. Would definitely hire again and recommend”

About: I have grown up around all sorts of animals and have always loved them! I sometimes feel like I’m a whisperer😌 I have always taken good care of my pets and payed close attention to them. I have a fenced and spacious backyard for my two dogs. I take them out hourly and let them run around and play. I also feed them 2-3 times a day.

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, including Chihuahuas and Huskies. Niki did an absolutely amazing job dropping in to take care of my plants and cats! She sent me detailed updates and pictures each day, and I had so much peace knowing everything was taken care of so thoughtfully. My cats are very stranger shy, and I was so happy to see that they were social and relaxed during her visits. Thank you!!

Isabelle is an incredible pet sitter and shows true care and love for animals. We adored the daily photos and updates she shared, and felt so much peace knowing our cat was getting attention and affection while we were away. Isabelle was understanding and flexible with our plans when our trip had a minor hiccup that affected our schedule. She’s a genuinely kind person, dependable and professional. I know our cat will miss having her around!

Raegan not only took incredible care of our sweet boy but she genuinely cares for them and making sure all their needs are met! She is the sweetest and we will for sure be using her again! If you want someone you can trust, kind, and genuinely loves your dog, please use Raegan!!

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
