“Maddie is awesome!!! We have never left our 1 year old Cavapoo Teddy before. He is so attached to us and we’re even more attached to him. She and her whole family treated Teddy like he was their own. Teddie loved her 2 dogs too. Maddie sent me several pictures to us during the 8 days we were gone. We were able to relax on our vacation because we weren’t worried about how Teddy was doing.”

“Jordynn is awesome! It is the first time we used Rover for boarding our furbaby and it is a great experience. She let us go over their place a week before boarding for our furbaby to meet them and they agreed. Also very responsive and gave us photos! Our furbaby enjoyed his time and we will definitely board Poe here again!”

“Kristen was amazing! She was so loving to our pup. She sent pictures everyday, which made it easier to leave our Stella for the first time. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Absolutely amazing! Our 10 month old golden doodle has a lot of energy, and they were great with him. They sent daily updates on him, asked questions when they needed help with something, and I feel like they really treated him like one of their own. 10 out of 10”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Eva and Zinnie. It means the world to us that they were safe and loved while we were away. We always look forward to see all the pictures you send to us. 🥰”

“Isabella and her family are definitely 5 stars and were so kind and sweet to our dog and loved her as much as we do. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. Isabella’s dog was also very gentle and playful with our dog. We will definitely use Isabella in the future. Highly recommend.”

“Mikelle and her kids are so sweet and you can tell they really love the doggies they care for. Mikelle was very responsive, took time to answer all my questions, and sent pictures any time I asked or checked in. I felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with Mikelle and would use her again for our dog care! Thank you, Mikelle!”

“Our dog Leia fell sick (from eating food at our house before we dropped her off) and Maria cared for her all day and night! She even took her to our VET!!!! And gave her medicine. Truly our favorite sitter.”

“Shadow was well taken care of while I was away, and I appreciated having someone to watch him during my trip. He came home safe, happy, and comfortable. She was kind and accommodating, and I’m thankful for the care she provided.”

“Kesha and her family were so inviting and kind. The entire place was spotless. When we got our dog back she seemed very happy and normal. Like she had been just as loved at Keeshas as at home. Very responsive to questions and even a schedule change, which we had to do twice. Thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve always taken care of and loved having animals since I was a kid. Professionally I’ve been a dog sitter for over 10yrs but I’ve had pets my whole life and had the responsibility of taking care of them. I have lots of experience with senior dogs who need meds, dogs who are a little anxious and take their time getting to know someone, and of course, the dogs who require a bit more of an energy outlet. From puppies to seniors, I’ve cared for them all! I’ve also had great success in training dogs in all sorts of ways they need extra help in. Whether that be social interactions, kennel training, potty training, etc. I’m a stay at home mom who loves being home all day! In between school pick up and drop off, I’m pretty much at home hanging out with the animals. I have a fully fenced yard with grass for playing and a separate fully fenced area with no gaps in it whatsoever, that the dogs go potty in. I clean the dog run weekly with an animal safe enzyme to keep it fresh. I have a gated area in my house that separates the living room from the entry way for safer exit and entering or for those dogs that want to relax with us on the couch instead of play rough with the more playful dogs. I only use this as needed. I have another gate on my stairs so all dogs stay on the main floor with us for easier supervision. Dogs are free to explore the main floor and hang out with us all day. I often let dogs outside to play or potty but never leave outside for long extended times and never in extreme heat/cold and always let them in when they want. I never feed your dog human food unless they come with it and always check for food allergies before giving treats!

“Mia is an amazing dog sitter. The best we have ever had. She took care of our Shih Tsu even better than we do. She would constantly update us and send us the cutest photos of her. And to top it up, she even gave Khushi (our Shih Tsu) a bath and a cute trim. Khushi came back to us happy and better looking! We will always use Mia when we need a dog sitter.”

“Our experience of leaving our dog with Rebeca was great! We had some schedule changes right before our reservation and she was very flexible with us. My dog was immediately at home in her home. And we received updates with pictures while we were away.”
“Niki was amazing!! She took such good care of our dogs. I could tell they were loved on the whole time they were there. She even took adorable pictures of them by the Christmas tree. I loved that she was home often with them, had a big yard, and took them on walks. I highly recommend her!”

“She did an amazing job! My dog felt super happy and comfortable with her the first day. She sent lots of photos/videos and updates everyday. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Stefany was great! This was the first time I had left my dog overnight with someone and she always kept me updated. Majora had a great time and was returned to me happy. I couldn't ask for more.”

Lynnae did an amazing job taking care of our very anxious pup, Knox! 🥰 She always makes sure to integrate him with the other dogs and helps him feel comfortable and loved. She also sends amazing pictures and updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind, especially since this was our first time leaving Knox for several days. This wasn’t our first time leaving him with Lynnae, and every experience with her has been excellent. Knox always comes home happy and completely exhausted from all the playing! 😂 We highly recommend Lynnae and will definitely continue having her take care of Knox!
I left my 2 dogs with Lucille and her daughter while we were out of town for five days. They were very warm and welcoming at drop-off, and super sweet with my pups (one of which is blind and elderly). This really put my mind at ease, as I usually struggle to leave my dogs with anyone. They were quick to respond to my messages, and sent us pictures and updates regularly. I’m so happy I found these sitters and I truly hope to be able to book with them again!

Paige was FANTASTIC! she sent lots of pictures and videos and I know for a fact our pup had a blast at her house for the week. Her two dogs are very sweet and got along with our dog very well. I love having fun buddies for our dog to play with while we are away and that’s just what he had! 10/10 will use again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
