“My dog, Fred, seemed to have a wonderful time! Heather invited us in to meet her dog, Molly, and to let Fred become comfortable before we left. She was confident and kind, and I could tell Fred would be well cared for. She had a dog-friendly home and a wonderful fenced backyard for the dogs to play in. Heather sent us so many pictures of Fred clearly happy and healthy and getting along well with Molly. I sent along a treat for “in case of stress” and I noticed it came back with Fred. I don’t think he felt anxious at all. Fred came home seeming exactly like himself- happy to see me, but not desperate to see me. The icing on the cake: he was freshly bathed! Thank you so much, Heather. Fred enjoyed his vacation and so did we.”

“Clayton and Aubrey and their family were amazing! Ellie felt comfortable there as soon as she walked in, and she got along so well with their dog Penny! We will definitely be booking with them again!”

“Jessica was an amazing dog sitter! She took such great care of my dog and made the whole experience stress free. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos. They gave me peace of mind while I was away. My flight ended up getting delayed and she was very understanding and flexible with the pickup time, which I am incredibly grateful for. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and easy to work with!”

“Kelsey and Dustin were so great! They took great care of Joey, sent lots of pictures, and gave updates the entire time. My dog really liked the family and got along super well with their dog, Loki. Overall it was an amazing experience and we’ll definitely be asking for their help in the future 🌟”

“We were super happy with our dogs stay with Pam and family. They were very kind and even sent photos of our big guy throughout the stay! We just appreciated having him stay somewhere where he was played with and loved on rather then just sitting in a crate or a pinned off area while we were away! So thank you thank you!”

“My husband and I recently went on a trip and left our 9-month-old Goldendoodle, Maggie, in Sierra’s care. This was Maggie’s first time staying with someone she didn’t know, so it was a brand new experience for her. She was a bit hesitant at first and struggled the first couple of days, but Sierra was amazing—she kept us updated daily and made a constant effort to help Maggie feel comfortable. After about two days, Maggie finally warmed up and started coming out of her kennel. We’re so grateful for Sierra’s patience and care! If we ever need a sitter again we will definitely be reaching out to Sierra!!”

“Samantha did a great job with our dog. She watched him for one week. She sent regular updates and pictures and our dog had a great time. He came home tired from all the fun he had!”

“Sheyla was wonderful! I highly recommend her. Our dog was very well taken care of and given lots of love while we were away. She was very responsive to communication. We enjoyed the pictures she sent too, it was comforting to see how our puppy was doing.”

“Jose and Jessica kept our sweet cocker spaniel, Reggie, for over a week. I could not have asked for a better family for Reggie. I got many photos of him on his walks to the park, playground, and pond multiple times a day. He got to play with kids too, which is his favorite. Even though we were on vacation, it was also like Reggie was on vacation. He was so pampered and well cared for. I will definitely rebook next time we need a dog sitter. I appreciated their flexibility with pick up and drop off times and their communication, especially though, they adore dogs and treated mine like royalty. Highly recommend!”

“Chloe was awesome! She has a great setup for dogs with a fenced backyard and sent videos of her going on walks and playing with our dog. My best Rover experience I’ve ever had.”

“Emily and her family are fabulous! We are convinced our dog Finn may love their family more than ours ☺️🐶🩵. Great with communication and updates for how he is doing with playtime and walks, etc. and very accommodating.”

“Jordynn was amazing dog sitter. She took great care of our dog. She sent updates and we know our dog was being loved and taken care of. I would highly recommend her. We definitely will be using her again.”

“Super happy with our 1st experience! I was so nervous to leave my baby girl, I wrote Lisa a whole book of instructions, and she was so understanding and informative, sharing such good information to give me peace of mind. My KOA had so much fun, she came out super happy.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Grove
I love that she has herding dog experience (I have a high drive aussie). This was my first time leaving my dog with someone besides family and I felt much more confident leaving him with someone who has real dog experience, not someone who just 'loves dogs'. I also loved that she gave photo updates. Overall great experience and I'll be using her in the future.

Rachel did an amazing job taking care of Chicken for our long weekend away! She took him everywhere she went, sent plenty of updates and photos, and gave him both plenty of activities to do but also plenty of space to relax. He became bff’s with her own pup and didn’t want to leave when we came to pick him up! Thanks so much Rachel!!

Benita watched our 2 little guys for a week. We will be using her again and again! She is calm, sweet, loves animals and made me feel very comfortable leaving them in her care. She has THE BEST energy. She walked them daily, played fetch in her beautiful back yard, and gave them lots of loves. They were happy pups in her care. 100 stars!!!!

My dog came home happy and cuddly! Ariel was so great to keep me posted and sent pictures while we were gone. Her house always seems clean and organized. She has a great welcoming attitude and awesome personality. This was my first experience leaving my dog with a stranger, Ariel had me comfortable the first moment we met.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful Misha and Brandon are! Scout had the absolute best time playing with their dog Ruby and their baby. Misha sent pictures and updates everyday about how Scout was doing and they even spoiled him by letting him sleep on their bed. Don’t hesitate to leave your precious pup with Misha and Brandon. They are the best of the best. Thank you! 💗🦮

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
