“Jose and Jessica kept our sweet cocker spaniel, Reggie, for over a week. I could not have asked for a better family for Reggie. I got many photos of him on his walks to the park, playground, and pond multiple times a day. He got to play with kids too, which is his favorite. Even though we were on vacation, it was also like Reggie was on vacation. He was so pampered and well cared for. I will definitely rebook next time we need a dog sitter. I appreciated their flexibility with pick up and drop off times and their communication, especially though, they adore dogs and treated mine like royalty. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren is amazing!!! We just moved here from Florida a month ago, last minute travel for work not knowing anyone in Herber. She took the best care of my dog Dingo!!! She took all the worries away for me. Her property is the perfect place to run around and play!! I will definitely be using Lauren again!! 🐾❤️”

“Jordynn is awesome! It is the first time we used Rover for boarding our furbaby and it is a great experience. She let us go over their place a week before boarding for our furbaby to meet them and they agreed. Also very responsive and gave us photos! Our furbaby enjoyed his time and we will definitely board Poe here again!”

“So nice to know our puppy was being watched and taken care of rather than caged up. We got daily pictures and updates which was comforting for our kids. Will definitely use again next time we go out of town. Thank you!”

“We’re so grateful we found Kristin to watch Sage! Drop off and pick up was easy. It was evident she loves her furry friends. Sage seemed to have a great time and was returned happy. Kristin was great about sending photos and updates. We’ll definitely use her again when we return to Utah!”

“Mikelle is an amazing dog sitter, very knowledgeable, friendly, and fully understand what dogs need. She took care of both my two little guys with such care and ease at mind. She sent me updates on my dogs on how they are doing. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a dog sitters, she is amazing! Thank you.”

“Our need to board our dog was very last minute (we needed to drop him off within an hour of the initial request). He is old and doesn’t like change. Usually when we board him he won’t eat and just looks sad. Jewell sent pictures daily of our happy dog playing outside and said that he ate very well. He came home a happy dog 4 days later. Jewell was very responsive to all communication and we will absolutely use her again!”
“Amazing sitter! I have a nervous dog who was being left with someone else for the first time so I was pretty worried. Everything went wonderfully, my dog got along great with her, and I got plenty of pictures and updates. Made it easier to spend time away knowing I didn't have to worry. 10/10”

“Jenny and her husband took such good care of our Aria! She was so great at communicating and sending updates on Aria daily. I will definitely use her services again. Thank you Jenny!”

“Dana and Jack were so flexible with the booking! I was due for a baby and wasn’t fully sure when things would happen, but they modified things and took Fox when it was time. He came home tired and happy. Dana and Jack were great to work with and very communicative!”

“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“8 nights and I’m sure some long days, 3 male dogs, and one happy pet owner. Maddie was great! We didn’t worry at all, we just missed them and that happens when you love them as much as we do. She had good communication, a loving family, the will to walk them all, and a large fenced yard. Will definitely book again.”

“Rachel and Colby are the best! Our dog loves going over to their home. It’s wonderful, friendly environment, we are a repeat customer and always check with them first when we’re going out of town.”

“Very grateful that Crystal watched our puppy while we left town. I liked that she has other pets and they kept my dog company while we were gone too. It allowed my dog to socialize and have lots of fun. Crystal never complained about my dog, which made me feel confident in her abilities. Thank you!!”

“This was oir lil girl Koko’s first time with Sachi over the weekend and Sachi was fabulous!!! We were hesitant to have her boarded again, it’s been a few months since we’ve left her. Sachi took great care of koko and gave frequent updates. Koko really enjoyed her stay!! She is already schedule for 2 upcoming weekends!! Thank you Sachi!!”

“Chelsea was the best! I have a more anxious Boston terrier than definitely has some sass and Chelsea was so great with her! I am always nervous dropping my dogs off when we go on a trip, but day one my anxieties were eased. We were even able to have my dogs meet her and her pups prior to our trip. She gave great consistent updates every night with pictures and is very experienced with dogs (especially with sassy pups like mine). Both my dogs came home happy and tired and loved playing with her Great Danes!”

“Stefany took great care of my dog! Her home was safe and comfortable and he got a lot of activity. She provided lots of updates with pictures of how he was doing. Definitely recommend!”

Jessica was the best!!!!! As soon as I dropped my dog off at her house I knew I left my dog in good hands. He immediately went outside in there beautiful fenced back yard to play with other dogs. Jessica sent me pictures and gave me updates so I knew how my dog was doing while I was away. This isn’t just a job for Jessica. I could tell she loves dogs and takes good care of them; treats them like her own dogs. I would strongly recommend her and I will be calling her again!

Rachel and her her family were amazing with our dog. She has such an open, beautiful, and welcoming space that was perfect for our dog to play. She sent regular updates and I could see that our dog felt right at home. I will definitely be using her Rachel and her family again as a stable sitter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vanessa was absolutely amazing with our puppy and kitten during their two-week stay! She truly went above and beyond in caring for them. She also did a great job with grooming, and our pets came home happy and well taken care of. Our puppy had a few accidents, but Vanessa handled everything patiently and professionally. She even took him to the vet while we were away, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. We would definitely book with Vanessa again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!

Leah and Marcus were absolutely amazing! We were feeling nervous with leaving our puppy for the first time while we were on our trip, but they were super great at communicating with us and can tell Moose had a great time! They have an incredible family that was very loving and gave our dog lot of attention/play time! We will definitely be using them in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
