“My pup stayed with Hao and Xiaochen for 5 nights and had the best time! When I went to pick him up, he ran up to say hi to me then was begging to go back and play longer- a sure sign that he had a blast! I got daily pictures and videos of my pup, which was a great touch. I appreciated the strong communication and prompt responses while making arrangements. My dog came back home happy and healthy. We will definitely book here again when needed. Thanks Hao and Xiaochen!!”

“Mikelle and her kids are so sweet and you can tell they really love the doggies they care for. Mikelle was very responsive, took time to answer all my questions, and sent pictures any time I asked or checked in. I felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with Mikelle and would use her again for our dog care! Thank you, Mikelle!”

“Jim and Mary were excellent at communication, details about care for my dog, and were great about sending a picture and text update each day. I am very happy with my experience. They were able to accommodate my last minute request. I highly recommend Jim and Mary.”

“Jordynn is awesome! It is the first time we used Rover for boarding our furbaby and it is a great experience. She let us go over their place a week before boarding for our furbaby to meet them and they agreed. Also very responsive and gave us photos! Our furbaby enjoyed his time and we will definitely board Poe here again!”

“Jessica did a wonderful job! Theo seemed very happy and tired when I picked him up. She has a beautiful home and Theo seemed very comfortable right away. Theo played with her other animals and did well for his first overnight being watched without Mom. She had Theo ready to be picked up and with a fresh bath! We appreciate her taking such good care of Theo for his two night stay! Thank you Jessica!”

“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“Jenny was fabulous! She kept me updated every day on my pup sending pictures and updates. She was quick to respond and was just fabulous. This was my first Rover experience and she impressed me above and beyond. She had my pup through fireworks, gave him his meds and helped him be as calm as he could be. I never worried at all about him. I highly recommend Jenny and will use her again and again!”

“Sydney was so great to work with. She was friendly and professional and provided great updates and pictures during Penny’s stay. We had peace of mind knowing she was in great hands! Thanks Sydney and family!”

“Stefany was great! This was the first time I had left my dog overnight with someone and she always kept me updated. Majora had a great time and was returned to me happy. I couldn't ask for more.”

“Crystal is amazing! Her experience, calmness, and the sense of responsibility put my anxiety at ease immediately when meeting her! She’s easy going, attentive, and communicates very quickly! Definitely my permanent dog sitter!!”

“Our pups had a great time with Whitney and her family! She kept us updated the entire time and she made sure to do everything she could to keep their routine as close to ours as possible. We will definitely take them back to her!”

“Michelle took great care of our pup! She sent a bunch of pics and videos. We thought she was having so much fun that she may not want to come home! We will definitely use Michelle again if she is available”

“Mandi was amazing! We were gone for a week and got updates daily! We were able to enjoy our vacation more knowing our dog was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her. We will be using her again!”

“Annette and Bridgett are my new dog boarders! We’ve used tons of others in the past but moved and now needed new ones. They were so great and took Axel last minute, and I voiced my concerns dude to bad boarders in the past. They were so great and treated Axel as their own. Since it was his first stay with them they sent me all of the updates which I can appreciate. Nala and Axel played all day, they have a wonderful back yard, tons of toys, and let pets on furniture so he felt right at home. They are honestly amazing and I’m So grateful to have someone nearby to watch him! Don’t book them up too much but definitely know you can trust them with your fur baby”

“Kristen was amazing! She was so loving to our pup. She sent pictures everyday, which made it easier to leave our Stella for the first time. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Seini was absolutely amazing and the sweetest! It was the first time I had boarded my pup and she made me feel very calm about the whole experience. My pup is on the older side and seini made sure all her needs were met. I would highly recommend!”

Rachel did an amazing job with Toby! Her family was super sweet and I can tell they all love dogs very much, and she sent update photos so I knew Toby had such a great time there. She was also super flexible about me coming to pick him up early which I really appreciated.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vanessa was absolutely amazing with our puppy and kitten during their two-week stay! She truly went above and beyond in caring for them. She also did a great job with grooming, and our pets came home happy and well taken care of. Our puppy had a few accidents, but Vanessa handled everything patiently and professionally. She even took him to the vet while we were away, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. We would definitely book with Vanessa again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!

Leah and Marcus were absolutely amazing! We were feeling nervous with leaving our puppy for the first time while we were on our trip, but they were super great at communicating with us and can tell Moose had a great time! They have an incredible family that was very loving and gave our dog lot of attention/play time! We will definitely be using them in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
