“Jordynn is an amazing dog sitter. She took great care of our dog. Our dog required extra care as he’s very sensitive. Jordynn was patient and really went out of her way to cater to our dog's needs. Jordynn’s kids were visibly excited when they met our dog. You can tell that their household loves dogs. Jordynn’s house is very clean and she has a big fenced in backyard that is perfect for dogs. Would definitely refer anyone to Jordynn.”

“She was absolutely amazing with watching my dog. She played with him and took him on lots of walks. She was such as sweetheart and took him on last minute because of an emergency for me. When I picked him up he was so tired, which was good.”

“This is a great family with happy dogs and an extremely clean house and yard. Rachel and Colby were very accommodating and good communicators. My doodle is a little needy and I received pictures of her receiving attention and lots of human contact. She was able to play with dogs, cats and kids and came home tired and happy.”

“Great communication and made our dog part of her family for a couple days. Based on the overall experience I could tell our dog was loved while we were away. Great experience”

“This was our first time using Karesa’s services and we are very happy with her! When we picked up our pups from her home they were exhausted which means they got plenty of exercise and play time. We arranged a meet and greet beforehand and her whole family came out to meet us and our puppies, which I thought was pretty cool. We will be using them again!”

“Stefany was amazing with my dog, even when he was rude and demonstrated poor behavior. She was responsive, accommodating and sent cute photos. She gave appropriate feedback for how to help my dogs behavior improve.”

“Maddie is awesome!!! We have never left our 1 year old Cavapoo Teddy before. He is so attached to us and we’re even more attached to him. She and her whole family treated Teddy like he was their own. Teddie loved her 2 dogs too. Maddie sent me several pictures to us during the 8 days we were gone. We were able to relax on our vacation because we weren’t worried about how Teddy was doing.”

“Griz loved staying with Jenny! I feel so happy to have found a sitter who loves my dog and takes good care of him. She sent plenty of pictures, which I absolutely need and love! Will hire Jenny again and again.”

“Brecken was amazing with our dog! She is definitely comfortable with dogs, sent us periodic updates, and loved him like her own. He was well cared for while we were out of town!”

“Mikelle did such a good job watching our dog, Yeti. She sent us lots of pictures while she was watching him and made him feel like he was at home. She was very responsive when we had questions. Our dog seemed very comfortable and happy when we picked him up!”

“Lindsey was so great with our pups! She sent us updates/pictures of the pups everyday and we could tell they were having such a great time while staying with her. Thank you so so much!”

“Rebeca was incredible. She helped potty train my puppy without being asked. I got sent multiple pictures and updates throughout my trip which helped ease my mind about leaving him behind. I will definitely be using her and her sweet family again in the future. Couldn’t recommend more!!”

“The dogs didn’t even want to come back home with me! They loved it there , and I’ll definitely be coming back.Cinthya did an amazing job — kept me updated with videos and pictures, listen to every detail, etc”

“Seini was so lovely to do business with! We have used her services twice now. Our dog was SO well cared for (AND LOVED!!) while we were on vacation. She was extremely attentive taking her to the park to fetch the ball most every day. She gives frequent updates and is a reassuring calm presence I trust her.”

“Amazing sitter! First…. I booked her last minute but she accepted. 2nd she communicates very frequently and sends pictures. 3rd she goes above and beyond for mango (my dog)!!! She watched mango on thanksgiving and gave him festive food too! She checked in with me first though before giving him anything. 100% would recommend! Will be booking her again when visiting Utah again.”

“So wonderful! Our girl was so happy with Kayla she didn’t even cry the first night away which she usually does!) Her two cats were sweet and seemed just fine with having a big dog hanging around them and she seemed to enjoy their company.”

Rachel and her her family were amazing with our dog. She has such an open, beautiful, and welcoming space that was perfect for our dog to play. She sent regular updates and I could see that our dog felt right at home. I will definitely be using her Rachel and her family again as a stable sitter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vanessa was absolutely amazing with our puppy and kitten during their two-week stay! She truly went above and beyond in caring for them. She also did a great job with grooming, and our pets came home happy and well taken care of. Our puppy had a few accidents, but Vanessa handled everything patiently and professionally. She even took him to the vet while we were away, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. We would definitely book with Vanessa again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!

Leah and Marcus were absolutely amazing! We were feeling nervous with leaving our puppy for the first time while we were on our trip, but they were super great at communicating with us and can tell Moose had a great time! They have an incredible family that was very loving and gave our dog lot of attention/play time! We will definitely be using them in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
