About: With 7+ years of experience caring for dogs, I’m confident handling pups of all ages and energy levels. I’m happy to reinforce basic training to encourage good behavior, and I always give walks and visits my full attention. Your dog will get lots of love, care, and one-on-one time every visit! I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which means I can offer consistent availability during the day and evenings for walks, potty breaks, and check-ins Friday through Monday. I pay close attention to each animal’s unique needs and routines, and I’m always happy to send photo updates during our time together. I aim to abide by any and all instruction given by the owner. Being a dog owner myself, I understand the importance and the value and having somebody care for my pets in the way that I ask them to, and would want to do the same for them. I’ll treat your pets like my own, and I’m always respectful of your space and your instructions.

“I have a 100 lb Great Dane puppy. Shawnee handled her great and was a good care giver. I'd use her again!”

“Zoe was awesome! She treated our two dogs with so much love and respect and went above and beyond to ensure they were well taken care of during the check-ins. She arrived on-time for each if her check-ins and communicated with us when necessary. She even left us two big doggie treats, one for each of our dogs on the last check-in. This wasn't necessary but showed her commitment to creating a great service experience. I would highly recommend Zoe to anyone looking for someone to help with their dog(s). We definitely plan on working with her in the future.”

“Whitney helped me in a pinch and did a great job! Thank you!”

“Emily did a great job taking care of my dog and cat. She was very attentive to their needs and a great communicator. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Paige did a great job! I had no worries about my pets while I was away for the weekend. When I got home the pets were happy and their stuff was clean.”

“Sarah was amazing with our shy little babies. She took great love and care for them while we were away. Thank you Sarah! We will call you again!!”

“Leslie was so amazing!!! So grateful she was patient with our wonky lock system and she even topped off the water for our chickens! Teddy was happy when we got home so I’m so so grateful she came. Thank you, Leslie!!”

About: I have grown up around animals my whole life and love them! I walk my own dogs daily and have cared for my neighbors and family members dogs whenever they need me to. Pet care is an integrated and consistent part of my daily routine. I make sure Bear has fresh water available at all times, and I take time each day for regular feeding, bathroom breaks, and short walks or playtime. I check in with him frequently to make sure he’s comfortable, especially in new environments. I also prioritize his emotional needs—he gets plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance, particularly during stressful situations like loud noises or changes in routine. On a weekly basis, I clean his bedding, check his supplies, and make sure he’s staying active and healthy. He’s very much part of the family, so his care naturally fits into the flow of our day. I tailor pet care based on each pet’s unique needs and the comfort of the home environment—whether it’s mine or a client’s. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and clean space where pets can relax and feel part of the family. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any medications. I also provide plenty of affection, playtime, and supervision throughout the day to make sure they feel secure and loved. In a client’s home, I treat the space with respect and maintain consistency in the pet’s routine to minimize stress. I stick closely to the instructions provided, whether that includes feeding, administering medication, exercise, or simply giving them companionship. I also make sure to update the client regularly with photos or messages for peace of mind. Regardless of the setting, my priority is always the pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness.

About: I've cared for many dogs and cats ever since I was young including pets that normally get sad when their owners are away! Some of the care I have provided includes staying overnight, regular walks, check-ins, playtime, making sure water and food is topped off and clean, and bedtime routines. When animals are sad, I spend a lot of time with them, talk to them, and pet them. I would love to help care for your pet while you are away, and help them be happy. I'm often told that people feel calm around me, and I've noticed that pets become more calm around me too. My work is really flexible and let's me work from home, so I'm able to watch pets throughout the week and on some weekends! I'm a very flexible person and can do adjust to your pet schedule! I will follow all house rules, and I will care for your dog or cat in the best way possible! Also make sure that all doors and windows stay locked to keep your baby safe.

“Starlight took wonderful care of our kitties during the holidays. She sent photos everyday & spent time playing with them! We would recommend her to anyone & will use her again in the future!”

About: 10+ years of caring for small and large dogs belonging both to my family and family friends) (notably Chihuahua mixes, Collies, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes, Pit mixes). 4+ years of experience caring for cats, especially kittens and seniors. Experience working in shelter and rescue situations (cats). Experience caring for exotics (hedgehogs) and rodents. Especially comfortable with pets in during their end-of-life care. I understand that the process can be difficult and sitters sometimes aren't able to emotionally handle caring for pets in their end-of-life stages. However, this is a process where pets need just as much - if not more - engagement and attention as their younger or more able counterparts. I work in theatre, so my schedule is almost always very flexible, with the exceptions being rather notable. Until mid-August, I'll be available every day, all day - except for after 6:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, along with variable Saturday availabilities. Other than that, however, I'm very available and very flexible! WHY I'M HERE I'll be transparent; because I move frequently for work, now's not the time to put a pet of my own through the turbulence of my journeyman lifestyle. This BREAKS MY HEART! Gosh, every day I feel the ache to adopt. However, that's partially why I'm here! I'd love to care for your pet to keep that practice in my life - but that doesn't mean I'm wanting never-ending playdates and picture-perfect pets. I'm happy to care for this member of your family with all of their quirks, needs, frustrations and fears. If I'm doing my job the way I'd like, I'd be creating a seamless transition between caretakers, just living life alongside them in whatever way they need. I've done quite a bit of pet-sitting through TrustedHousesitters, especially when I was traveling in the UK. I've also done more structured walk services and short-term sits with local clients and family friends. FOR CLIENT'S HOME SERVICES AND HOME PICK-UPS When I come to the home of folks that I'm sitting or walking for, I really appreciate being told very clear boundaries from the very beginning. Questions to consider might look like; - Is there an entrance you'd like me to use exclusively? - If I'm looking for your pet, is there an area of your home I shouldn't enter? - Are you more relaxed with treat-giving, or are your portions very strict? - If there's an item that I may need in your home (band aid, glass of water, etc.), what are you comfortable with me looking through or using? Basically, I'm eager to honor the way you raise your pet and manage your home, whatever that may be! This doesn't have to be in the form of a carefully-crafted list, though. A brief chat or general list of preferences does just fine, as long as we're on the same page. I'll be an active teammate to make sure there aren't miscommunications. When your pet is resting, I'll sometimes be doing light work on my computer. Without a set WFH schedule, I'm able to still keep an eye on your pet when sleeping and also take frequent breaks whenever needed. My aim is to go at the pace of your pet, following their lead. That is, of course, unless you have instructions otherwise - we've all had that moment where our pet's needs and wants don't exactly align ;). So, I'd love to take your dog on walks or play throughout the day, if they're able! However, I'm just as content staying near them as they rest, letting them chill within eyesight if they need space, or snuggling them all day long. For Sitter-Home Sits: My indoor living space is limited - because of that, I only feel right about bringing into my home kittens and/or puppies that don't mind being kept in smaller, baby-gated areas. I would hate to make your active pet feel cooped up! When it comes to dogs, the exceptions to the smaller puppy preference would be very low-energy dogs who don't mind lounging in small spaces (these are usually seniors) or dogs that prefer to stay outside for the majority of the day, weather and other needs permitting. For those outdoor dogs, I currently live in a home with a spacious, fenced backyard with shade. And, it's a space that I love spending all day in, so your pet won't have to ever be unsupervised outside! As for cats, while I'd love to bring them into my home, I don't have the necessary hygiene and enrichment tools to keep them comfortable. Because of this, I'd only be able to take home kittens that have smaller space needs and are able to use/train with DIY litter boxes or potty pads.

“I would definitely re-book Grady to watch my two cats! He was very communicative for the duration of the booking so I always knew that everything was going well!”

She gives them baths consistently and likes taking them on walks. She has taught them many tricks as well. I have noticed that almost every cat or dog she comes in contact with loves her and feels comfortable with her. I call her the dog whisperer because of this.
