I’ve cared for puppies and whelped litters. I work from home, so I’m always here to provide attention or care. I have a safe fully fenced backyard with grass. My home has no young children, my kids are teenagers, we do also have a cat. I take my golden retriever, Copper, on multiple walks daily, and happy to bring a friend or two along for those as well (weather permitting).

Shane did a great job taking care of our high energy dog for the weekend. He sent us regular updates with pictures which kept our minds at ease. Our dog can be a handful so it was great leaving him with someone who can handle him.
Shane was so awesome! One of our dogs is usually anxious away from home, but seemed so content staying with Shane. He sent great pictures and communicated well. We will be booking again!

Duke has the best time at Shane’s house!! His backyard is paradise for my golden retriever. It’s fully fenced and the grass is so thick and green and Duke loves to fetch the ball and play with Shane’s dog, Copper. And despite already having a golden retriever himself, his house is very tidy and clean. I’m so grateful to have Shane watching Duke while we are away. We keep rebooking him and it gives me so much peace of mind to leave my dog with someone I trust. Duke comes home really happy and content, and I love knowing that Duke is not only in good hands, but he wants to be at Shane’s house. Duke is insanely strong and he’s a big dog and sheds a lot, but that was no problem for Shane. He’s the best!!
I have never left my dog with anybody but family or a really close friends. Although Freckle was really anxious about staying at their home, she adjusted so well. Shane and his entire family, especially his daughter (thank you for letting her sleep on your bed with you), helped Freckle feel quite at home. I loved getting the pictures and videos of her throughout my trip. I cannot begin to explain how at ease I have felt leaving my dog with Shane. I will definitely rebook in the future!

Schedule
I work from home full-time, so I’m always home to give the dogs attention or care. My work is flexible enough that I can let the dogs outside as needed and have the ability for walks or the occasional trip to the park.

I have a fully fenced backyard. I have one dog of my own, Copper, who is a golden retriever. I do not have young children, my kids are teenagers. I also do not have any other pets other than the one dog. The street in front of my house is not a busy street.

A typical day
Let me know what activities would be best suited for your dog during its time with me. All dogs will be able to socialize and play with my golden retriever, Copper. We have space to play fetch at my house and at the park that is within walking distance in my neighborhood. Bike rides are also possible if your dog is familiar with running alongside a bike. I hike frequently on the weekends and take dogs with me that enjoy hikes.
