“Ashley was a great sitter! She watched our dog during our week long vacation to Lake Powell and sent multiple photos of our dog happily enjoying their company, even though we didn't have service most of the time. She was available on short notice, flexible on days and times, and did a quick meet and greet to make sure everything was comfortable beforehand. We felt good leaving Tess with her family and would recommend her as a sitter to others!”

“Courtney is terrific. She communicates regularly and takes great care of our dogs. Our dogs love her kids too. We’ve used her multiple times now and always have a good experience.”

“We were super nervous to leave our 6 month Dalmatian for the first time, but Andee was amazing right from the get go! Andee helped ease our worries before we even dropped our puppy off! She was amazing about sending updates and pictures the entire time! Would 100% recommend and would definitely have her watch our guy again!!”

“Heather was AMAZING!! I immediately got pictures and an update when i dropped my dog off with her. Her kids are so sweet and helpful in caring for my pup. The ultimate treatment at her house, for sure! Thank you Heather! Will be rebooking again👏👏👏”

“Renee is always a joy to deal with (as well as her family)! She's always so easy going, flexible, and is sure to keep me posted on how my dogs are doing (to include pictures). Even though she doesn't have a fenced in backyard, I know my pups are safe with her and I never have to worry. Her family treats my dogs with the same care, love, and respect that their dogs get. I certainly feel I don't have to look any further than Renee when it comes to finding a pet sitter!”

“Our pups were in great hands with Nicole, James and their kids. They had great communication, were accommodating, and our pups came home clean, well loved, and exhausted! We will definitely be using them again. Thank you!”

“Perfect sitter! Rachel treated our pup like family during our overseas trip. She kept us updated with pictures and videos, and was super quick to respond on the app. We will definitely keep her in mind for future stays.”

“TL C was fantastic! We left our 10 month old Dane with them for 5 days and she came back better behaved than before. She was obviously well cared for and spoiled during her vacation. We got studio quality headshots from her stay and multiple updates while away. Our pup is very much in the toddler stages and doesn't know where her feet are half the time. TLC kept her clean and cared for her bumps and bruises while were away as well as letting us know about an ear ache that got worse. Our pup got the best care and we highly recommend boarding here.”

“Cheri is the better sitter we’ve ever had. She sends lots of pictures and videos while we’re are gone and gives tons of updates which we appreciate so much. We love her dog pixie too, she is a great friend to our Scout. We know our pup is in good hands!”

“We’ve worked with many, many different Rover sitters over the years, and, of them all, Sharon and her family really deeply cared about Leo and made him a prominent part of their family during his stay. I could tell by the way they spoke so lovingly about his quirks, and helped me be aware of ways to help him stay healthy as he gets older. We will definitely be bringing Leo back for future stays!”

“Darlena was fantastic with our pup. She is very kind and loving, especially since Tux is older and likes a quiet place. I am so glad we found her, and we’ll be calling her again!!”

“Jessica loved our girl so well for us while we were gone. I loved getting pictures of her while we were away and she was very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating when our plans changed.”

“Fluffy did very well staying with Carolina and her family! They took very good care with our dog who is 15 years old ❤️ They also have a nice set-up with a doggie door and yard. Would highly recommend!! Thanks again! 😊A+++”

“Jade was so very conscientious about Rudi and how he was adjusting. She spent time with him to help him overcome his sadness that I had left him, and she was understanding about his needs. When I returned, Rudi was happy to see me, but he went to Jade and gave her a "doggy hug" to say thank you and show his affection. Everything worked so well with Jade for Rudi and for me. She really is understanding and the dogs she day-sits were so well adjusted, too. Thank you, Jade, so much for being great for Rudi!”

Wish I could give more stars!⭐️ Nicole is flexible, personable and Mango forgot about us about 2 seconds after we got there! Her children are sweet, and loving and I’m sure were a big part of Mango’s happy experience. I loved her friendly little dog pack and mango loved joining her pack for the day. She was happy and non-punishing😂 when we picked her up which was a first for us. She was EXHAUSTED the whole next day. My husband joked that our little princess might need a day with Nicole at least once a month whether we go on vacation or not! 😂 She absolutely loved running around and checking on the cows and being on the farm. We will use Nicole again and again!

Valentina is the best! I absolutely will be a repeat client! She let me look around the space when I dropped off my dog, and let me get my dog settled before I left. My dog has a chicken allergy, and she made sure my dog didn't eat any of the other dog's food. She responded quickly to my messages and sent me pictures throughout my trip. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times, and my dog had so much fun in her care! I highly recommend Valentina :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
