“Andee was so great with our dog! She sent me multiple pictures throughout the day, which my kids loved to see that our dog was having a great time! I would definitely book with her again!”

“Ashley is super responsive and my dog has great fun when he stays with her. My biggest worry is that Sultan (my dog) has more fun at her house, playing with her dogs, than he does at my house.”

“Heather was absolutely phenomenal! She took such good care of my puppy and put my mind at ease knowing he was in a good home and being loved while I was away. My puppy had such a good time with her he didn’t want to leave! Heather provided great care and supervision for him and even sent me pictures and videos and updates while he was there. Would recommend her to anyone! She is the best!”

“Cascade took really good csre of my 2 dogs. I knew they were safe and loved while i was away. She sent pictures and texts of how they were doing, and they seemed happy. I highly recommend this sitter. Thank you cascade.”

“Sharon and Cornelius were fantastic! I was scrambling to find a last-minute sitter for my pup who (at the time) could not be around other dogs due to a medical issue and from the moment Sharon opened the door at our meet and greet I felt very comfortable leaving Cooper with her and her family. When we arrived we were greeted by Sharon, who had the front room of the house closed off so Cooper could have a safe place to acclimate and play with the many dog toys available while she asked very relevant questions about his personality/needs; she also gave me ample opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted. Cooper immediately became very comfortable and showed his best self, which was a great sign as he immediately communicated that he wanted to leave when we met the other sitter I was considering earlier in the day. After a lengthy Q&A, Sharon felt comfortable enough to invite her husband and son into the room for their meet and greet. Cornelius instilled just as much faith as Sharon and their son was very gentle with Cooper (which is not a common trait with small children). We then went to the back yard where they asked even more questions about what he was an allowed to do and how I wanted him cared for while Cooper romped around and ate grass (he just likes it). Sharon and Cornelius clearly understand that dogs need a safe space to acclimate prior to being dropped off and I was sent daily updates, pictures, and videos while I was on my trip. What stood out the most is that they prioritized having a good relationship with my pup for the safety of everyone involved prior to agreeing to take him into their home. My folks live in the area and I will most definitely be relying on Sharon and Cornelius for my future dog sitting needs.”

“Adelaine did a great job watching our dog for almost a week. She kept him happy and healthy. She and sent regular updates with photos. She was reliable and professional. Highly recommend!”

“Cheri is the better sitter we’ve ever had. She sends lots of pictures and videos while we’re are gone and gives tons of updates which we appreciate so much. We love her dog pixie too, she is a great friend to our Scout. We know our pup is in good hands!”

“Janine is definitely one of a kind. So sweet, gentle and kind. She’s now watched my dog twice and I’ll always book through her. She sends lots of videos and pics and takes such great care of your pets. My dog was very loved while I was away. Went on lots of walk and to the dog park. I appreciate you so much Janine for loving on Maelee while we’ were away,”

“Rachel is THE best sitter i could have asked for. She was available with an incredibly short notice which was a huge help to me when i went out of town very last minute. while i was gone, she sent me lots of pictures of my dog and would give me updates on how she is doing. it’s so nice to know that people like rachel love animals and want to make sure they feel loved and safe. on top of that, i ended up having to be gone a few extra days and she was able to take her for as many days extra as i needed. book with rachel! you will be so glad that you did!”

“Darlena was fantastic with our pup. She is very kind and loving, especially since Tux is older and likes a quiet place. I am so glad we found her, and we’ll be calling her again!!”

“Nicole and James were wonderful with Rosie, she seemed very happy to be there. They sent pictures and a note every day of our vacation. Will definitely keep them in mind when the need for a dog sitter arises.”

“Crystal and her family were really nice and took very good care of my dog, they sent me frequent updates and photos. My dog seemed to enjoy his stay. Highly recommended :-)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland Hills
Wish I could give more stars!⭐️ Nicole is flexible, personable and Mango forgot about us about 2 seconds after we got there! Her children are sweet, and loving and I’m sure were a big part of Mango’s happy experience. I loved her friendly little dog pack and mango loved joining her pack for the day. She was happy and non-punishing😂 when we picked her up which was a first for us. She was EXHAUSTED the whole next day. My husband joked that our little princess might need a day with Nicole at least once a month whether we go on vacation or not! 😂 She absolutely loved running around and checking on the cows and being on the farm. We will use Nicole again and again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
