“Thank you for taking care of our dog. It was a big help for keeping our hands free while we were on our trip. Our dog looked very happy and we are very Thankful. Thanks again”

“Brooke did an amazing job taking care of Murphy while we were away! She kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Murphy was in great hands and truly enjoyed her company. We really appreciated that she went the extra mile and picked up treats for him when he ran out — such a thoughtful gesture! Thank you, Brooke, for treating Murphy like your own. We’d absolutely trust you again in a heartbeat!”

“It was our first time using Rover and only the second time our Hooli had been away from us. The care that Amy and Daniel provided was above and beyond. We didn’t request it, but they took Hooli out on multiple walks a day and they provided daily updates and photos taken throughout each day (7-10 photos/day). Their comprehensive and attentive updates about Hooli’s appetite, activities with their 2 awesome pups, mood (e.g., adjustment to being away from us), and bowel health brought my wife and I joy and comfort knowing Hooli was being taken great care of. With each passing day, her smile got bigger and eyes beamed even more, so we knew she was doing well. By the end of her stay it seemed like she really bonded with them. :) We highly recommend Amy and Daniel as sitters, and they’ll be the first Rover sitters we think of next time Hooli needs a loving home to stay at while we are away. Thank you Amy and Daniel! :)”

“We are so lucky to have found Rachel!!!! She clearly loves dogs and we felt instantly comfortable with both her and Richard. We can vacation with ease now knowing he'll be well cared for and loved.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities, including energetic and high-maintenance dogs. I have experience raising my own dog from a puppy and understand the patience, consistency, and attention pets need. I’ve also babysat a puppy, walked two large dogs at the same time, and helped care for dogs for friends and family. I enjoy keeping dogs active, comfortable, and safe, and I’m confident handling both calm and energetic pets. I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and I work part-time, so I can often accommodate pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and playtime. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication, and exercise routines. I have experience handling energetic and strong dogs, and I stay patient and calm in new situations. I make sure pets have fresh water, a safe environment, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“Can't find a better pet sitter to watch your furbaby! Super easy to work with, sends numerous updates, and is always a pleasure to deal with. My furkids don't even notice that we're gone when they are with Lea, and when its time to pick up, they don't want to go home 😂”

“Lisa and David were wonderful! They were able to accommodate us on very short notice when we needed boarding for an out-of-state trip, which was a huge relief. They took excellent care of our kitten and provided daily updates and photos, giving us peace of mind while we were away. Communication was great throughout the stay, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about our pet’s well-being. We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Stephanie and her family are wonderful, my puppy was so happy and spoiled by the whole family. Stephanie will send photos and videos everyday while we were out of town. Highly recommended.”
“Gabby went above and beyond while caring for our dog Hage. We were out of the country and Hage needed to see the vet due to unforeseen complications. Gabby took Hage to the vet and picked her up. Hage was taken care of and given her medications as needed.”

“Traci took excellent care of my husky. She sent me very informative text keeping me updated on my dog as well as pics and videos !!! Traci Is Cerby’s permanent sitter from here on out.”

100% recommended. Marcela is very caring and looked after my little Mylo like her own child. She's very responsible and dedicated. I was always kept informed during the four days I left him in her care, and I felt comfortable and safe. I truly found a second home for my baby.

WOW - our cocker spaniel, had so much fun here! He was taken on daily walks and given so much love. He returned home a very happy boy. He’s eight years old and had never stayed with anyone other than family, but he felt right at home with them. We loved the daily updates and pictures that we were sent. We were able to go on vacation and know that our precious boy was being well taken care of and was safe and happy. We will definitely use Silviu and Stanca again in the future!

Ishita (Minnie) cared for Graham while we traveled. She took excellent care of him, caring for him as if he were her own dog!! She sent pictures and video updates everyday which was comforting to see him having a great time! She asked if Graham could go to the dog park, and he truly enjoyed getting out and playing with other dogs. I would recommend her to care for you dogs while you’re away!

Jacqueliene was amazing with our two energetic pups! She sent photos throughout the stay and always kept us updated during our vacation, which made us feel comfortable knowing they were well taken care of. Our pups are not the easiest to handle because of their energy but Jacqueliene did great! We will definitely leave them with her again and recommend others to do so as well!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Amanda and her family. This was the very first time we left our dog, and it was for two weeks, so we were extremely nervous. He wasn’t used to being around other dogs except for our little Cockapoo, and we worried about how he would adjust. From the moment we met Amanda, her professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for dogs put us at ease. Not only did our dog do well—he absolutely thrived. He learned how to socialize, became more playful, and clearly felt safe, loved, and cared for during his stay. Seeing how happy and comfortable he was made all the difference for us. We now feel completely confident leaving our baby with Amanda and her family. They welcomed him as if he were their own, and that peace of mind is priceless. We are so grateful and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional, loving dog care. 🐾💛

Amber & Ronnie well excited to meet Milo. Milo has a separation anxiety and possessive nature. Amber said no problem. We can take care of him. I’m very happy with their care. They were even flexible to pick up and drop Milo. They give me constant updates on how he was doing. I highly recommend them.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
