“Brittany and her family are exceptional, loved by our family and by our pit mix, Tennason. Brittany is great in communicating, sending pictures and messages, and reaching out when there is a concern. We so appreciate knowing we can get away and that Tenny is in good hands!”

“This was our first stay with Lea Ann and it could not have been better. Lily seemed to have a great time and was in great spirits when I picked her up. I think she especially liked have a few playmates of her own size to hang out with.”

“Excellent stay! Jingyi and her family cared for my little pups as if they were their own! She provided me frequent updates and pictures too! I could tell that my pups were having as good of a time as I was on my vacation!”

“I highly recommend Jennifer. She is very friendly and kind. She is also an excellent communicator and I knew Bondo was in good hands! I appreciated that she took the time to take a variety of photos to document Bondo’s day. My favorite one was of the dogs laying on the couch tuckered out. I will definitely be using Jennifer again! Thanks Jennifer!”

“You can tell that Julie is not only a dog person, but also thoroughly understands dogs and their needs. She is so accommodating and truly makes you feel heard and your dog feel understood. I would highly recommend Julie & Natalie to anyone. She was very communicative and I knew my pup was in great hands.”

About: I can't remember a time when I did not have a dog in my life. They just bring joy to my life. This is my first time doing the Rover service but I have over 40 years of experience in owning and caring for dogs. I work full-time and travel a lot. So I look forward to weekends to spend time with my wife and dogs. I would love to add your loved one to my weekend routine. I have three dachshunds at home right now. We enjoy spending time together and loving on each other. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play. While at your house I will spend time playing with your pet and meeting their daily needs.
“This was my first time using rover and leaving my puppy with someone. I was very nervous but Carla put me at ease. I was able to meet with Carla first to see if it was a good fit. She kept me updated with pictures and videos multiple times daily of Cash. I am glad he felt at home and had someone to care for him just as his own. ❤️ Carla treated him like family and I could be more appreciative.”

“Paige and her husband were so great with my pups. They made my dogs Demo and Cas feel so comfortable and you can tell they had the best time! I am so glad I found them and will definitely use their services in the future!”

“Miss Ruth was very kind and gentle to my Toby, who can be a barker in new situations. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day and I felt hugely at ease. Toby will definitely be coming back!”

“Karina took excellent care of our miniature dachshund. We were very excited to see she had her own dachshunds so we booked her. She sent daily pictures and videos and Khaleesi was getting cuddle time with her and her family so we know we made the right choice.”

“Lea was absolutely wonderful with our dog! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, consistently sending us photos and updates that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our pup was clearly well cared for and happy. We would definitely book with Lea again and highly recommend her!”

“This is the first time we’ve boarded our dogs so we were a little anxious about how they would adapt. Judith was a total Godsend! Flexible, responsive, and very understanding of our dogs’ individual personalities and needs. We appreciated the daily updates, and could tell they were doing just fine. Which was great because I was able to relax and enjoy our vacation. When we picked them up, they were happy to see us but clearly not stressed or anxious. Meaning - they felt safe and comfortable and happy under Judith’s care. Her home is perfect for dogs, with a fenced back yard. I’m so thankful and highly recommend Judith!”

“This was my first time for my sister and I to use a "Pet Sitting Service" for our two fur babies "Addie and Maddie". On or Meet-n- Greet a few days prior to our vacation we were 100% impressed and relieved to know that our babies were going to be in good hands! Sherry and her husband were super nice, very loving to our pets as well as theirs. Sherryhas the perfect set up for anyone's babies. Maddie and Addie felt right at home. Sherry kept me posted by sending pictures and cute stories throughout my trip. I will definitely use her service again and fully recommend her. She definitely welcomed our babies with open arms. Thank you Sherry!!”

“Libu provided excellent care for my dog on a recent booking. He let me know everyday how my dog was doing and responded to any requests or questions quickly. I would book with him again.”

Karissa was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my dog, Luna, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and I really appreciated all of the updates and the many photos she sent throughout Luna’s stay. It was clear that Luna was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, caring, and truly loves animals, I can’t recommend Karissa enough. I’ll definitely be booking with her again, and I highly encourage anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter to use her services. Thank you, Karissa, for taking such wonderful care of Luna!

Brittany and her family are exceptional, loved by our family and by our pit mix, Tennason. Brittany is great in communicating, sending pictures and messages, and reaching out when there is a concern. We so appreciate knowing we can get away and that Tenny is in good hands!

I highly recommend Carol! Her communication was seamless, and she executed everything perfectly. Our dog Leo had a great time playing with her dog. He was happy and well taken care of. We really appreciated the regular updates and videos—it allowed us to fully disconnect knowing our dog was in great hands. Carol is professional, reliable, and we won't hesitate to book with her again.

Raniyah was wonderful! She kept my 2 cats for a week and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The set up was great. The cats had the perfect combination of privacy and space, but still had plenty of human interaction. You can just tell the difference when someone genuinely cares about your pets emotional well-being. For example, she spent the week providing them water in a bowl, in a cup, as well as from the bathroom sink just to make sure my finicky cat had every possible option to stay well hydrated… and that’s just one example of personalized care my cats received. She even sent me daily updates, including pictures and videos! Needless to say,Raniyah will be our go to pet sitter from now on!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
