“Lindsay was so sweet to us and our boy! Sent a bunch of pictures and let us know how he was doing. He was so happy playing. This was my first time to ever do this but I would definitely do it again! It was very positive experience.”

“Best sitters ever ❤️! She made our yorkipoo feel right at home! We will always use her. I recommend her Services to everyone. We thank you Ashley D, and we definitely see you for future sitting. Blessings 🙌🏾”

“Denis was so professional and personable. She always sent pictures and updates of how they were. She treated them with the upmost care and love we will be be going back anytime we need a a dog sitter.”

“We are so blessed to have found Mark for our puppy's home away from home! Juniper was welcomed into their family and made wonderful friends. He sent lots of great pics and videos of her enjoying their time together. We could not have asked for a more... 1000 ⭐️s”

“What impresses me most is that I have two very different types of dogs, and Stephanie has the skills and flexibility to handle them both. Clarity is an elderly, fragile little lap dog who needs a lot of sensitive care and attention. Stephanie listened carefully to her needs and provided her exceptional care. The other dog, Bubba, is tough, strong, highly independent, energetic, and intense, with a prey drive; he loves to play with toys and run fast. Stephanie regularly sent me photos and updates of the fun times he was having in the yard—for example, or of Clarity getting comfy in various spots in her home. Also, I appreciated that on short notice, Stephanie came right over and picked up my dogs. She also dropped them off for me, too, as I requested, so they’d be here to greet me when I arrived home. Thank you, Stephanie!”

“Madison was so great with our dog!! This was our first time using Rover and she made the process so easy and comfortable for us to leave him with her for two weeks. She sent photos and videos almost daily which were a wonderful surprise. He always looked happy and was constantly playing. We really liked that she did a meetup beforehand to see how he was in the house and how he interacted with her own dog and the other ones staying there. We will definitely rebook!!!”

“Ashley did a great job with Reese. She kept us up to date. Reese is not an easy dog to deal with, but Ashley was able to handle his hyperness. I will use her again.”
“I loved how friendly Sian was and how relaxed myself and our dogs felt as soon as we walked in the door. This was our first stay and first time meeting Sian and her pup Travis. We will book with her again. One of my dogs never eats when momma is away, but he ate at Sian's house! They got lots of playtime and snuggles. Sian sent the right amount of photos and checkins so that we knew they were good but were not distracted during our vacation. She commuicated when one of our dogs threw up, which isn't unusual for his sensitive stomach.”

“Amalia was a great sitter for Harry! She understands geriatric, quirky dogs very well. She also kept us updated at least twice a day with videos of walks and cute pictures of Harry relaxing. And when Harry was experiencing some allergies, she let us know right away. When we picked up Harry, he looked like he didn't want to leave, so that's a pet sitter success story! We will definitely use her again when we go out of town.”

“Catherine was fantastic. I felt my dog was safe and cared for the moment I dropped him off. I received pictures and videos throughout his stay, which made me happy and at ease. I could tell my dog was comfortable and made himself at home. I would definitely recommend.?”

“Kim was awesome!! My dog Zoey is nervous about strangers, but she warmed up to Kim quickly and seems to have really enjoyed her stay. Kim is very dog savvy and accommodating - we felt really comfortable leaving Zoey with her. We got plenty of updates and pictures from Kim while we were out of town.”

“Melissa was amazing! She is kind and sweet and her and her family took care of Milo as if he was their own, I am so grateful I found her! Do not hesitate to leave the care of your pet to Melissa, she is truly the best, super caring, organized and attentive at all his needs and my instructions.”

“Jamie has always done a great job with our dogs. She is very good at keeping you up to date when our pets are in here home. She takes care of all the pets like they were her own. We are extremely happy with Jamie and will continue to use her when we are on vacation.”

“Elena was very good with my not so friendly cat. She sent me updates and told me how Fancy was doing. Her house is a cat's palace with thier own room and lots of fun activities to entertain with. I will definitely use Elena again. A big thumbs up 👍”

“Dani and her husband, Roger, were very sweet. Dani was very communicative and easy to coordinate scheduling with. She sent pictures everyday and gave updates. Would schedule again :)”

“Once more Luong and his family did a great job taking care of my doggo! I’ll certainly bring him back again! Thanks for the snacks! Tino will enjoy them tonight :-)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rowlett
Clyde and Nancy were great caring for Dirk while I was away. It was my first time leaving him since I adopted him so I was a little nervous for both of us. We had a meet and greet in advance. I was very happy with the care they provided and were responsive. I'll definitely be using them again!

Mychelle was amazing with my dogs! She took such great care of them and kept me updated throughout their stay with pictures and messages, which gave me peace of mind. My dogs clearly loved staying with her and came home happy. I would definitely use Mychelle again and highly recommend her!

I left my cat at Elena’s place for boarding, and she was absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly kind and made sure my cat felt completely safe and right at home from the very start. I loved receiving the updates and photos she sent every single day, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my cat was genuinely well-loved and beautifully cared for. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sweet, attentive, and reliable sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!

This was my 1st time using rover for my pup. Nittaya & Huy were super responsive, & very accommodating with booking. I loved that they were communicative, along with figuring out my dogs needs. They kept me updated daily which gave me so much comfort. I will definitely be re booking with them in the future! 100/100% recommend.

I believe my cat Marty had such a great time with Megan's cats during a longer stay. I received updates throughout my booking period and Megan was always fast to respond. Marty got full attention with Megan working from home and I can tell she's such a cat lover. I would truly recommend Megan for any future stay and would definitely use her again.

Sherry is lovely. My dog can be a very anxious girl and gets nervous in storms or fireworks. Sherry takes great care of her and can handle her meds and needing extra love and attention. Her dog plays well with Stella. Stella is happy to stay with Sherry and comes home tired from playing but happy and clean. Sherry communicates well and sends photo updates. Highly recommend her.

Allison was wonderful with Peanut! She took great care of him and kept us updated with regular photos throughout his stay, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. When we picked him up, he was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious she genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. We would definitely book with Allison again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.

I have used Catherine several times over the last few years and it always gives me peace of mind knowing that my Pippa is in the greatest hands with her! Pippa is excited to stay at her home and looks to be having the time of her life in all the photo updates that I receive from Catherine! I trust her with my baby whole-heartedly. She is the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
