About: As a devoted dog owner for 12 years, I deeply understand the love, companionship, and joy our furry friends bring into our lives. After the passing of my beloved dog “Trouble” on August 6, 2023, I’ve found fulfillment in caring for other pets. I would be honored to walk, play with, and shower your pups with affection, ensuring they feel loved and cared for in your absence. I work from home full time and am a devoted mother to five children, all over the age of 8, who share my deep love for dogs. After losing our beloved family dog of 12 years in August 2023, we’ve felt a big void in our lives. We’re now in the process of adopting a new fur baby to bring that warmth back into our home. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine, and I truly look forward to giving your precious pets the love, attention, and companionship they deserve. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard perfect for dogs to play safely. I will be the only person caring for pets during all bookings — no one else will assist with pet care. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities.
“Very friendly and kind , went the extra mile by sending frequent notifications. Great availability. Love the other pets allow socializing for my puppy.”
“Carla was incredibly sweet and a great communicator. She sent us many pictures of our puppy playing with her dog Khloe and getting love! Will definitely book with her again 🤩”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Niko received! From the moment we met, it was clear he was in great hands. We got regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Niko came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious that they truly love animals and treat every pet like their own. We are so grateful for the attention, patience, and kindness they showed him. We will absolutely be booking with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter!”

“This is the second time we have trusted Sian with Ginger, and once again she was wonderful. This time was just for daycare, and Ginger came home happy and well cared for. We feel comfortable leaving Ginger with her and would happily book with her again.”

“Paige was wonderful and made me feel at ease with hourly updates and photos while my dog Roxy was in her care. Roxy was all smiles and that totally warms my heart! I’m so happy to have found Paige. An even bigger perk is she is so close to me. I plan to rebook Paige’s services very very soon. Thank you, Paige!”

“Using a new dog sitter always makes me a bit nervous, I really appreciate being welcomed in to chat before dropping my dog off, Anna made the whole process more comfortable. I picked up a super happy and totally worn-out dog, which is always the best sign. She got tons of playtime with other dogs and came home without a scratch. I got lots of pictures and would absolutely recommend her! I'll definitely be booking again the next time I'm visiting from out of state.”

“Deneisha is an angel! She accepted my last minute request for a sitter, and i am truly grateful for her kindness in doing so! She was very kind, and sent updates throughout the day. I was unsure of how my mini would handle playing with her dog only because he hadn't been around a lot of big dogs before, but by the video she sent, he had a blast! I feel He really enjoyed his time with Deneisha, and i would certainly book again! Thank you again, Deneisha! 🤎”

“From our meet-and-greet to the first actual stay, my dog *loved* being at Jason's! He and his wife are kind, love dogs, have a great house setup for doggy day care. My dog can be anxious in new settings, especially if I leave him, but he did great! As Jason said, "couldn't have gone better." I am SO grateful to have found him and will definitely be using their services a lot in the future. I'd give them 10 stars if I could ;)”

About: I’ve been a foster parent in the past. I’ve always had a natural love for dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I’m responsible, attentive, and patient, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’ll treat your pup with the same care and attention I’d want for my own, while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! My schedule is flexible throughout the week, with plenty of availability for walks, playtime, overnight stays, and personalized care. I don’t mind taking them for walks. I have a spacious home with a large fenced backyard, plus plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor play, and comfortable downtime. I will keep them Indoors in the heat and will only take them out for walks early morning and late evening when the heat index isn’t too hot
“Amazing person and very friendly. She cares for your puppy like her own. Lets you know your baby is okay through pictures and messages throughout your babies stay. Overall just awesome.”

About: Let your pets enjoy a stay-cation while your out on your vacation! Rest at ease. I previously did rover at my old house and recently moved and ready to start again. In my previous house I accommodated up to 22 dogs, all ages and sizes. I can separate in case certain dogs don’t get along or have special requirements. I have a good size house with multiple areas. I don’t crate dogs while someone is home unless no one is home. All dogs are fed separately. Dependent on circumstances, I occasionally take aggressive dogs since I personally understand and have experience with them, from my rescue dog. I accommodate to Aggressive dogs accordingly. I work from home and my dog trainer helps me if needed. I was involved in a Vet Tech program in High School for 4 years and experience working at a vet clinic for 2 years and volunteered at several vet clinics in the past. Experience with giving medications if needed. I personally have 2 cats and 3 dogs. 3 of my animals are rescues. Fostered animals previously and can provide much love, attention and play time for your 4 legged family members. Dogs are my passion and plan to open my own boarding facility in the next few years! I want your fur babies to be comfortable and enjoy their time while being away from home. If you would like, we can set up a time for you to come see my place before you choose me to take care of your fur babies.
About: I bring a lifetime of dog-parenting experience to every stay. Having grown up with dogs and owning my own today, I view pets as true family members. My background means I instinctively understand dog behavior, daily routines, and proper care—giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away I offer flexible, part-time pet care Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability. Because I own my own business, my schedule is adaptable—with just a week’s notice, I can easily fit your furry friend into my routine! Lupe was great! She watched our pups for the day while we were visiting Dallas so that we could see some friends and catch a baseball game. She provided updates and photos throughout the day to ensure us that our pups were in good hands. We appreciate you Lupe!

Sherry is wonderful with Waffle! She’s only had Waffle two different days for daycare, but she seems to really like Waffle and takes great care of her, making sure she has fun and playtime! I feel confident Waffle is having a good time when she’s at Sherry’s house!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
