“Leaving my dogs with someone else for the first time felt a lot like dropping your child off at school for the first day — I was nervous and hesitant about using Rover at first. But after an unexpected situation came up, I’m so grateful we found Van and her family. For three days, they took such amazing care of my dogs. I provided their food, and Van and her family made sure they were fed, able to play outside in the yard, and got plenty of rest and love. The updates, pictures, and videos throughout the stay gave me so much peace of mind and made my days at work so much easier knowing my babies were happy and comfortable. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be reaching out to them again for future doggy daycare or boarding needs. Thank you again, Van and family, for treating my dogs like your own!”

“Eva and her family are the best, they send pictures and updates throughout the day. We have use them for both dog sitting and for boarding and loved both experiences. If they’re available I want to choose Eva first every time!”

I work full time remotely from home and am able to provide all the love, attention, walks, and potty breaks needed for your fur baby! I have a fenced patio for them to get some fresh air and watch all the squirrel, birds, and people through out the day as well! I let all the pets roam freely in the house when I am home and only have then kenneled when I am gone which is about 2 hours as most when I have practice I have to go coach! We have a fenced in balcony as well as a fenced in yard for animals to play in. There is also a great trail system for good walks.

About: Hello! My name is Erik and through growing up with cats and raising a rambunctious 6-year-old Golden Retriever, I'm the perfect active adult to take care of your animal friends. I work from home, giving me plenty of time for ball throws, tug of war, and enough snuggles and head scratches that your pet may never want to leave. I work from home full-time and take plenty of breaks throughout the day for walks, ball throws, and bathroom breaks! Because I already have a dog myself, regular breaks are already baked into my schedule. I have a fenced in yard and am within walking distance from several large grassy areas. Furthermore, working from home full-time allows me time to be attentive to your pet's needs!
“Very friendly and kind , went the extra mile by sending frequent notifications. Great availability. Love the other pets allow socializing for my puppy.”
About: I’ve been a proud dog parent to my lovable Lab Mix for the past 9 years, and I’ve enjoyed dog sitting for the last 3 years! Your pup will feel right at home here, as I only take in a maximum of 2 dogs at a time to ensure they get all the love and attention they deserve. We enjoy 3-4 walks each day, along with plenty of playtime at the neighborhood dog park. It’s all about keeping tails wagging and paws happy! I’m currently working remote so I have ample time to spend with your pet(s)! We walk about 3 times a day and spend lots of time in the fenced backyard. Welcome to my cozy home on the Frisco/McKinney border! I share my space with my sweet, laid-back 9-year-old pup who loves to nap and is super friendly. We enjoy 2-3 walks a day, and your furry friend will be cared for just like family. About: I've been a Dog Mom for most of my adult life, I currently have two. A couple of years ago I took classes to learn to groom and care for dogs. I learned dog CPR, first aid and grooming skills. I have taken care of several of my family and neighbors dogs and decided to expand. I have an entire room dedicated to dog play, grooming and sleeping. My dogs sleep with me and your dog can too if that is what you like. I also have crates if that is preferred. I have a small doggie door that leads to my backyard that is securely fenced. I also have a security gate on my front porch to prevent run aways. I will love your fur babies just like my own while they are with me! I am retired and I am available most of the time. I do babysit my 1 year old Granddaughter sometimes, but will take in a baby friendly dog when she's here. I have a fenced yard and two other dogs to keep your fur baby company. Sleeping arrangements are as the parents prefer, in the bed, on the floor in a dog bed or in a crate. Dogs are temporarily separated during feeding time to avoid conflicts. I stick with parents preferences on treats, eating times, etc. I will send you pictures of your dog if you want. I will love your fur baby just like my own!

Shelly was AMAZING! Great communication, good vibes, and she made both me and my puppies feel safe, they didn't want to leave! They were never alone and got the most love and care they've ever gotten from a sitter on here! We will most definitely be returning! And a great price aswell for the service! Absolutely loved everything environment and attitude towards the doggies, I was able to work knowing that my puppies were safe and very well taken care of 😊

Kristen was amazing she took great care of our tiny puppy and I got tons of updates throughout the day. Her dog was very tolerant of our pup who is still learning boundaries and they were able to have great play time. Will absolutely book again and highly recommend

Jamie cared for our dogs for doggy daycare. They came back tired and happy which is all I could’ve hoped for! She sent lots of photos and gave my dogs plenty of attention and ways to play. I appreciate her willingness to care for my dogs but mostly I appreciated her ability to care for my dogs like they were her own. Will definitely use again!

Angelica took great care of my puppies and kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos. When I picked them up, they were happy and excited, which showed they had a great time. Very communicative and reliable. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again.

Terrese was SO sweet and tentative with Blue and Bear, Blue can be very shy but Terrese was very patient with her! I will definitely be contacting again to watch the two, felt very good while I was gone all day she kept me updated and sent pictures throughout the day. :)

Brenda is the most beautiful soul, she is absolutely adorable with personality and caring. My dogs loved her so much that they cried because they did not want to leave her side. It is not always that you run into people with that beautiful caring personality inside and out. She will go far in life. From the moment that you communicate with her you will know that you made the correct decision in choosing her. She is available and always communicate promptly. She receives your dogs with lots of care and love. Brenda We Love You!

Dong has done an amazing job with my dog Allie. He truly goes above and beyond to pamper her and take care of her while im at work all day. Allie goes to daycare with him at his house with his dog Jojo who is soooo lovely. That corgi is a sweetheart. And my Allie loves to play with Jojo. She comes home exhausted from all the fun she had. He also will send you multiple messages and videos throughout the day. That gave me so much peace. I just needed to know my Allie was adapting well to the environment and was doing okay without me there. I highly recommend him. I trust him with my pup and I think he will do wonderful with your pup as well. 🙏

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Richardson commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
