“Shalini and Jeremiah have been so wonderful to my pup. Clover, as expected, was a little nervous at first during our meet and greet being in a new place. Shalini and Jeremiah were flexible with timing and let clover ease into full day care days. Clover is now having the best time with them, as proven in the pictures and videos I get throughout the day😊 Thank you for treating Clover so well!”

“Eva and her family are the best, they send pictures and updates throughout the day. We have use them for both dog sitting and for boarding and loved both experiences. If they’re available I want to choose Eva first every time!”

“Thanks so much for providing excellent care for our Cavapoo. We greatly appreciated the video and text message updates. Blaze is looking forward to us going out of town again so he can come back to play with Copper and Lancer. Thanks so much, William.”

“Jane is the sweetest and most attentive sitter! I feel so comfortable dropping our puppy off with her! My puppy is always SO excited when we pull up to her house which makes me happy.”

“Paulina was wonderful! She was quick to answer any questions we had before booking, her communication was clear and consistent, she's so nice, and we loved receiving photo updates. It made leaving our dog so much easier knowing he was in great hands. We'll definitely be booking again!”

“Wow! Clara was great and her puppy was seeet to Jamaal. Her place was immaculately clean and Clara obviously loves dogs and was very thorough in wanting to know exactly what Jamaal needed for the day. Jamaal stayed all day with them when I was in a meeting in town and I will definitely use her as a sitter for Jamaal the next time I’m in Dallas. Thank you, Clara!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for my own pets and neighborhood dogs. I currently share my home with a sweet 3-year-old Pitbull who’s always excited to make new furry friends for playdates. Since I work from home, I’m available throughout the day to give your pet the attention, love, and care they deserve. My 14-year-old dog-loving family member is also eager to help and be a great playmate. Our home is dog-friendly, with a fenced dog park right here in our complex and plenty of safe neighborhood paths for walks and adventures. Whether your dog loves playtime, leisurely strolls, or lots of cuddles, we’re here to make sure they feel happy and loved while you’re away. I’m committed to providing reliable, compassionate care tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Let’s help your furry family member feel right at home! I also have experience administering medications and caring for both senior dogs and puppies. Crating is not required in my home, but if your pet is crate-trained or needs a crate for comfort, just let me know! I do have a medium-sized crate available on-site. Please feel free to share any special instructions for your fur baby — I want to make sure they receive the same level of tail wags, comfort, and care they’re used to at home! 🐾 **Please note- I do not accept cats. Thank you I work from home full-time and also homeschool, so I’m available to care for your pet throughout the day. On the rare occasion I need to step out, someone will still be home — or I’ll only be gone for 2–3 hours at most. Your pet will never be left alone for long! I follow any specific care instructions you provide to ensure your pet feels safe, happy, and right at home — whether that means medication, a special routine, or extra belly rubs!
“Samm was absolutely wonderful!! Nico had an absolute ball with the entire family including the pups! Couldn’t haven’t asked for a more exciting day full of smiles, playtime and fun for this little fluff ball. Samm sent ample of pics, videos and updates throughout the day which was so appreciated! Safe enough to say Nico came home completely played out and ready for bedtime. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful caregiver and family to watch their little bundles of fluff!!”
“Kayleigh was absolutely awesome with Biscuit. My boy was very comfortable at every level under Kayleigh’s care since he had recently been through a knee surgery and was still recovering. She made sure he was given food and medication at the right time and gave him tons of pets and belly rubs. Kayleigh has a very gentle personality and shows in the way she takes care of the dogs. Will definitely return to Kayleigh for future pet sitting needs.”

About: I pet sit for neighbors and friends, and have plenty of sitting experience ranging from short stays of 3-4 days to long stays ~30 days. Dogs (small to medium preferred), cats, snakes, and even fish! I'm used to walking two dogs at once (and willing to try 3). I will also keep you in the loop with your pet as much as you'd like. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and I'm super excited to have more pets around me now that I am out of the cramped college style of living. Whether you're booking me for a check-in, walk, or pet sit we're gonna have a fun time with it! I work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule so I can be reliable caregiver for your pets! I can work from anywhere as long as there's WiFi, so I'd be happy to add pet sits into my schedule any day of the week (assuming I'm not out of town) When taking care of your pets in your home I take very good notes regarding the pets usual schedule for walks and feeding, locations of their belongings (toys, crates, treats, etc), dietary precautions, where the local vet is, etc. to ensure that I'm well-equipped to take care of your pet!
“Dulce is the best! She took great care of my pet beagle Lucy. Even when i've had to make some last minute schedule changes, Dulce has been very accomodating. Even her dog Otis is such a sweetheart! Throughout the day she would be in touch with me as to how Lucy was doing, which I greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all your help Dulce!”

“Silvana is a great option for your dog. Our puppy absolutely loved every time she gets to spend time with Silvana whether it is a week or just a day. We get so many photos and videos. Also she comes back happy but so tired. I highly recommend Silvana!”

“Michelle is great! She has an awesome set up both inside the house and outside for my pup to play with her dogs. She paid individual attention to Beanie, taking him on a short run and walk. Look forward to bringing my dog back for additional playdates.”

About: It would be my pleasure to have your dog stay with me for short or extended periods. Why am I a good choice? I take this job very seriously and safety is my first priority. My home is warm, inviting, clean and organized. I have many repeat "stays" and have become friends with several pet owners. Soothing your dog's separation anxiety is important... attention, play time, walks and lots of love work best. I have lived in Dallas since graduating from TCU. I was a professional journalist for many years of of my life, which included sixteen years as society editor for Turtle Creek News. i have also written scores of feature articles, authored a book entitled "100 Things to do in Dallas and Fort Worth", and penned numerous columns about society events and charities. I recently retired from my Katy Trail Weekly News, therefore, I have plenty of time to care for my four-legged guests. I look forward to turning your first booking into me becoming your “go-to-sitter". It is such a pleasure to watch the joyful reunions of owners and their beloved dogs. It never gets old. I d do not miss my previous careers, due to the immense enjoyment I receive from the adorable pets I care for. P.S. I am right on the way to the way to DFW for many dog parents. I am home all day and evening except, of course, for shopping or occasional dining out. This job is perfect for me because I am "'domesticated", and love being at home. I tend to be overzealous regarding safety. My back yard is secure with locked gates. I am aware of how precious your pet is to you, just as they become to me.
About: Now that my sweet senior yorkie is no longer with me, I enjoy spending my free time with your fur babies! I love meeting new pups while also happily welcoming back familiar faces. I will love on your little ones as if they are my own. My priority is making sure that you feel at ease knowing that your pups are being properly loved on while you’re away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m up very early so early walks are welcomed! Just let me know your pet’s special needs. For dog walking, I won’t walk more than 2 dogs at a time of similar size and temperaments for safety. For boarding, I am only able to accept small-medium sized dogs at this time. I have a 1 bedroom apartment so small-medium dogs will be the most comfortable here. I do not have a yard but there is a dog park in my building and a huge park down the street. I also have a balcony that the dogs like to go on for fresh air. So your dog will get tons of exercise if they like.
“Shelly and her husband have taken care of my 46lb. boy Shey twice now. She was very responsive to my text messages before I arrived and accommodating when I needed to pick him up a bit later than booked one of those days. They are both big dog lovers which is easy to see as soon as I was handing them his leash. He definitely enjoyed his time with their dogs and resting in the air condition close to Shelly and her husband. Thank you and we will see you all again soon!”

Can’t say enough good things about Shalini & Jerry. They have been taking such good care of my little pup :) You can tell from his temperament that it has improved and just how well mannered he is becoming by being with them during the day. Can’t thank them enough for all the care :)

Dakota had such a great first doggy daycare experience with Lauren and her sweet Goldendoodle, Remi! As a first-timer, I was a little nervous, but Lauren made everything so easy and reassuring. Dakota clearly had an amazing time and came home happy, tired, and well cared for. Lauren was super easy to communicate with, and I felt really comfortable leaving Dakota with her. I loved the photos and updates! We hope to set up more day care/play dates in the future!

We love Ivanna!!!! She’s very attentive with Buddy (he’s 8 weeks old). She gave him so much love! Whatever she did, keep doing it. When we got home, he was more active and not just following me around. He wasn’t playing with his toys prior to his visit, but now he’s extremely playful with us and his toys. He’s calmer in his kennel and less anxious. Ivanna, you are AMAZING! We will be going to Ivanna regularly , and if you have an anxious dog or a puppy, Ivanna is the one you need.

Chris was amazing! She was so patient and kind with my puppy, and she made sure he felt comfortable the entire time. She answered every question I had, including a few about training, and shared some really helpful tips that we’ve already started using. I’m genuinely grateful for the care and attention she gave. Chris truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Addison commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
