“Eva and her family are the best, they send pictures and updates throughout the day. We have use them for both dog sitting and for boarding and loved both experiences. If they’re available I want to choose Eva first every time!”

“Thanks so much for providing excellent care for our Cavapoo. We greatly appreciated the video and text message updates. Blaze is looking forward to us going out of town again so he can come back to play with Copper and Lancer. Thanks so much, William.”

“Our boy Mickey had so much fun. He was a happy boy when we picked him up from daycare with Jane and was relaxed for 2 days! A tired boy is a good boy ;) Mickey will be spending more time with Jane who sends pictures and puts her 💕 into taking care of Mickey!”

“Paulina is the best! She goes above and beyond for my little Elle. My dog literally starts whining when I grab her bag to go … it’s a long car ride 😂 she can’t wait to see her Auntie Paulina and her pup friends. It’s been a great experience getting my puppy properly socialized in a safe environment!”

“This sitter is amazing..my dogs love going there, she recently bailed me out for medical emergency with last minute boarding. Beyond being a great sitter, she is a quality person!”

“Wow! Clara was great and her puppy was seeet to Jamaal. Her place was immaculately clean and Clara obviously loves dogs and was very thorough in wanting to know exactly what Jamaal needed for the day. Jamaal stayed all day with them when I was in a meeting in town and I will definitely use her as a sitter for Jamaal the next time I’m in Dallas. Thank you, Clara!”

“Kayleigh was absolutely wonderful!! The dog sitter we’d originally scheduled had to cancel at the last minute, and we were scrambling to find someone else and she came to rescue! She was friendly, communicative, and she took wonderful care of our dog. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've loved and cared for animals my whole life dogs, cats, and everything in between. My household includes a golden retriever and an orange cat, so your pet is coming to a home where animals are family. I have hands-on experience with everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, medication administration, and even newborn kitten emergency care. I treat every pet like my own with patience and genuine love. Your fur baby won't just be watched, they'll be spoiled. I run my own business from home so I'm around pretty much all day! Your pet won't be sitting alone waiting for someone to come check on them, I'm literally always here. That means regular feeding, playtime, cuddles, and attention throughout the whole day, not just morning and night. No rushing home from an office, no long gaps, just consistent care all day long. My home is a real pet household, I have a cat and a golden retriever of my own so your pet is coming into a space that already understands animals. I'm super attentive, I notice changes in behavior or appetite quickly, and I take pet safety seriously. Since I work from home I can keep a close eye on your pet at all times and give you updates throughout the day so you always know how your baby is doing. Your pet's comfort and safety is always my number one priority.
About: Now that my sweet senior yorkie is no longer with me, I enjoy spending my free time with your fur babies! I love meeting new pups while also happily welcoming back familiar faces. I will love on your little ones as if they are my own. My priority is making sure that you feel at ease knowing that your pups are being properly loved on while you’re away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m up very early so early walks are welcomed! Just let me know your pet’s special needs. For dog walking, I won’t walk more than 2 dogs at a time of similar size and temperaments for safety. For boarding, I am only able to accept small-medium sized dogs at this time. I have a 1 bedroom apartment so small-medium dogs will be the most comfortable here. I do not have a yard but there is a dog park in my building and a huge park down the street. I also have a balcony that the dogs like to go on for fresh air. So your dog will get tons of exercise if they like.
“Shelly and her husband were so pleasant, friendly, communicative, and accommodating! I’m a first time Rover user and it definitely won’t be my last time with Shelly. Bentley came back to us happy, healthy, and clean. We could tell that he was well taken care of. She doesn’t mind messaging to discuss details or questions before the visit and during the visit. I would hands down pick Shelly if I were you! I never leave Bentley with ANYONE! Lol. I’m pleasantly surprised. A million thank yous for taking care of our baby!”

On the rare occasion I need to step out, someone will still be home — or I’ll only be gone for 2–3 hours at most. Your pet will never be left alone for long! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Addison
Visiting in the DFW area and needed a sitter for our Dachsund. Found Silvana and she was outstanding! It was obvious she treated the dogs as her own. All the dogs were well behaved and she sent many photos and videos throughout the day. We will use her again in the future!

Dakota had such a great first doggy daycare experience with Lauren and her sweet Goldendoodle, Remi! As a first-timer, I was a little nervous, but Lauren made everything so easy and reassuring. Dakota clearly had an amazing time and came home happy, tired, and well cared for. Lauren was super easy to communicate with, and I felt really comfortable leaving Dakota with her. I loved the photos and updates! We hope to set up more day care/play dates in the future!

We love Ivanna!!!! She’s very attentive with Buddy (he’s 8 weeks old). She gave him so much love! Whatever she did, keep doing it. When we got home, he was more active and not just following me around. He wasn’t playing with his toys prior to his visit, but now he’s extremely playful with us and his toys. He’s calmer in his kennel and less anxious. Ivanna, you are AMAZING! We will be going to Ivanna regularly , and if you have an anxious dog or a puppy, Ivanna is the one you need.

Chris was amazing! She was so patient and kind with my puppy, and she made sure he felt comfortable the entire time. She answered every question I had, including a few about training, and shared some really helpful tips that we’ve already started using. I’m genuinely grateful for the care and attention she gave. Chris truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Addison commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
