“Rachel was awesome! My cat is kinda shy at first, but after one day Rachel and her were already friends! Rachel also sent me daily updates, pics and videos. Very easy communication. Highly recommend her for taking care of your pet.”

“Erin is wonderful! She has taken such great care of my pups. Such a great caretaker and is great with photos and communication. Looking forward to working with her again!”

About: Hi! My name is Celsey. I’m 24, and I currently have three cats at home. I have a huge love for animals and I love giving walks and playing with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I would love to meet your pet, show them the same love I give my own pets, and give you peace of mind when you’re out of the house! I’m super flexible with time and cancellation, and also very good at learning just what your dog needs to be satisfied and happy. Hope to speak to you soon, thanks! I work a part time job, and the hours are very flexible. I love animals and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to spend time doing what I love. In my clients home, I love getting to know the animals and the home so I can provide the closest-to-perfect care I can! I love to make your pets feel cared for.
“I would absolutely work with Lily again. The pictures she took of Willow were really cute, and she was very communicative. She accepted our booking last minute, for which I appreciate her flexibility.”

About: I’ve worked with adult dogs who are trained and comfortable with their surroundings. I’ve followed the care for dogs with medical needs. Every pet has their own set of wants and needs and I strive to make them happen for each one. I currently work a full time job in Addison with 2 of my days being working from home. I am typically available after 4pm Monday through Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. I can stay overnight in your home but will be gone throughout the day for work or checking on my own cats. I believe that pets are used to a schedule and I maintain it (except for an occasional Sunday morning sleep-in). They don’t need just food and water to survive but love, time, and attention. I’ve got a cat than needs to be sitting on or near me daily to get his purrs and another that follows me from room to room to keep me in his sight but not too close that I can annoy him with pets. I recognize their social cues and respect their boundaries.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I provide consistent, reliable, and attentive care as part of my everyday life with my own pets. I already care for two cats and one dog daily, which includes feeding, walking, litter box cleaning, and giving medication twice a day, so I’m very comfortable handling both routine care and special needs. I’m especially attentive to detail and follow instructions closely, which is important for maintaining a pet’s normal routine and comfort. I’m also patient and calm with animals, which helps build trust and reduce stress for them while their owner is away. In addition, I have experience with medication schedules and can comfortably care for pets that need extra attention, including senior pets or pets that require structured routines. My flexible job schedule also allows me to be available and responsive throughout the day, which helps me provide dependable care and quick communication. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already care for my two cats and one dog every day. My responsibilities include feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, walking my dog, giving medication when needed, and making sure all pets get attention and exercise. I also have a very flexible job schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the day, evenings, and weekends. This makes it easy for me to adjust to pet care visits, maintain consistent routines, and provide reliable care whenever needed. In my home, I care for pets by keeping a consistent daily routine that includes feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, giving my dog regular walks and potty breaks, and making sure all pets receive attention, exercise, and playtime. I also give my dog medication (pills) twice a day as needed and monitor all pets to ensure they are healthy and comfortable. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain the pet’s normal routine and comfort. This includes feeding schedules, walks, medication if required, cleaning up after the pets, and respecting the client’s home. I make sure pets feel safe, cared for, and stress-free while their owner is away, and I provide updates when needed.
About: I pet sit for neighbors and friends, and have plenty of sitting experience ranging from short stays of 3-4 days to long stays ~30 days. Dogs (small to medium preferred), cats, snakes, and even fish! I'm used to walking two dogs at once (and willing to try 3). I will also keep you in the loop with your pet as much as you'd like. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and I'm super excited to have more pets around me now that I am out of the cramped college style of living. Whether you're booking me for a check-in, walk, or pet sit we're gonna have a fun time with it! I work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule so I can be reliable caregiver for your pets! I can work from anywhere as long as there's WiFi, so I'd be happy to add pet sits into my schedule any day of the week (assuming I'm not out of town) When taking care of your pets in your home I take very good notes regarding the pets usual schedule for walks and feeding, locations of their belongings (toys, crates, treats, etc), dietary precautions, where the local vet is, etc. to ensure that I'm well-equipped to take care of your pet!
“Catherine was so great with my boy! She was punctual, communicative, took lots of pictures, and went above & beyond to make sure he was taken care of. He is big and can get a bit skiddish outside/with new people but she was able to handle him really well. I appreciated that she cleaned up when he had an accident in the hallway, and even made an additional stop by my place to make sure he went #2 when he was too scared to go earlier in the day. I would definitely book with Catherine in the future :)”

“Fantastic sitter for our precious kitten Gracie. We were nervous leaving her alone for a whole week but Haley bonded with her quickly! Gracie thrived under her care and the picture update were awesome 🤩”

“Rachel is the best Rover person I have ever used! She is always on time to walk my dogs, sends me great pics of their time together, very reliable, friendly, trustworthy which is priceless! Thanks so much for taking great care of my pups!”
“Julie was so great!! She saved us when we had to be gone for an extended period of the day unexpectedly. She took lots of pics and had a great update, looks like our dog loved her!”
“It was my first time hiring outside help for my dogs and it was awesome! Matthew was a gem! His communication, attentiveness, photos and feedback were wonderful! My only complaint is that I don’t think my dogs missed me while I was gone and will be sad not to see Matthew each day going forward!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Addison
Jennifer and Jonathan were amazing!! Jonathan came over the day before to meet the pets and have a quick walk through. They updated us with pictures and a note every visit and everything was just how we left it when we got back! Would definitely recommend and book again.
We are extremely happy with Sophia and the amazing care she gave to our two dogs, Maya and Nala, while we were away. She was very attentive, loving, and responsible throughout the entire stay. Sophia followed all of our instructions carefully, made sure the girls had fresh water and food, gave them their treats exactly as requested, and even cleaned up the poop from the backyard. Most importantly, we could tell she genuinely cared about them and treated them with kindness and affection. She was reliable with every scheduled visit, kept us updated, and gave us great peace of mind during our trip. We were so happy with her service that we already booked Sophia again for our next trip in a couple of months. 100% recommended!

Amy is such a superstar! She came to do a meet and greet at short notice with my Foster dog when my regular Dog Sitter wasn’t available. I’m so grateful to Amy who was so loving, kind and quiet with her. Gosh, you can see from the photos how my Foster dog (who was just spayed) felt safe with her. Amy followed my directions, sent me photos and gave me a list of what they did. I would love to have her back anytime to even housesit my future dogs.

Hayley takes amazing care of our pup, Beef! She walks him, gives him playtime, and feeds him during her visits, and he clearly loves spending time with her. She always sends updates, which we really appreciate—it’s so reassuring to know he’s being well cared for. Hayley is attentive, dependable, and wonderful with our boy. We’re very grateful to have found her!

Jamie did a fantastic job. Absolutely perfect. My wife and I were away for ~5 days and she came over to check on our 2 german shepherds twice a day. She paid attention to them, walked them, made sure they had food and water and overall just cared for them. Would not hesitate to book again, and we will! Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
