“Jocelyn did great with a drop-in visit for my fur-buddy Cat! We had a meet and greet prior to my travel to which my cat, who is typically shy to new people, was curious to see a new friend. Jocelyn helped me by stopping by to give my cat some company for an hour, cleaned his areas, replenished food&water, and provided a friend for my lonely buddy while I was away. Would book with Jocelyn again in a heartbeat! Kind, responsible, punctual and trustworthy.”

“Samantha was great with my three-month-old puppy, showing a lot of patience and care. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure he felt comfortable. My puppy took to her right away, and I could tell he enjoyed his time with her. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I’ve been a pet/ house sitter for 4 years! I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals, from lizards to donkeys! I am great with dogs and cats! I am currently unemployed. So my schedule is wide open to take care of your pets! Anytime or day of the week I should be available. Thanks! I live at an apartment complex with a fenced in dog park. We also have a lot of walking paths through my apartment complex. Thanks!

“Melinda was great with our kitties during our stay. They are very shy with strangers but she was able to interact with them every day and able to get photos of them. I will definitely use her again and would highly recommend her.”

“We recently moved to Texas and finding a good pet sitter was one of my biggest worries. I have 2 cats, one of which needs daily medication. We had our first out of town trip this weekend and Bethany was able to ensure that Mia got her medicine and sent some lovely pictures / updates. Would highly recommend!”
“Ally is awesome!! My dog absolutely loved her and she did everything I needed her to do, even on short notice! She also was great at keeping in contact and sending pics! If you need a sitter, Ally is your girl! Thanks for loving on my big girl! :)”

“Kelsey was AMAZING!!! She agreed to watch our pup for a pretty lengthy period of time and on short notice and took such wonderful care of him. She provided frequent updates and was extremely reliable. We are so thankful for her and will definitely be using her again!”

“Allison was awesome! She was very prompt, communicative, and easy to work with. She took great care of our German Shepherd pup while we were out for a couple of days. Would definitely have her watch him again!”

About: I have two dogs at home so I am very good at taking care of pets. I have walked dogs for my neighbors and friends all throughout highschool. I am currently a student at Smu and I’m looking for a fun job to help people out! I have classes in the middle of the day but have a lot of free time I live in a sorority house and it’s on Smu campus. I have two dogs of my own at home and miss them very much!
“Sean was great. Loved getting updates and pics from his visits while we were away. You could tell he cared for our pups. Having him care for them was stress free and let us happily enjoy our vacation. Will most definitely call in him again.”

“Kelly was the absolute BEST! She sent me tons of pictures of my kitties and sweet little videos while I was gone for the holidays. It made my heart so happy. 100% will book with her again!”

“Caitlin was great with our pup during drop in visits while we were out of town! She was very easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. Even during some snowy weather, she walked to our house to meet prior to watching Lexi. I didn't have to worry about Lexi once since I felt she was in capable hands with Caitlin!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 12 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed, exercise / walk, and play with their pets with trust and appreciation. Rover clients / pet-care and house sitting have my full attention, and 100% commitment! I am available for whatever routine requirements are currently needed, as scheduling dictates. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and preferences. I’m happy to follow your instructions and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own — keeping things tidy, being mindful, and making sure your home feels cared for while you’re gone.
About: I've taken care of dogs for about two years now. I first started when my roommate left for Korea for about a month. I've always had an affinity towards dogs so taking care of his dog made me want to take care of other dogs as well. Ever since then, I've been able to take care of 8 other dogs. Whether it be playing with your pets or walking them around or going potty, I have everything covered! I have time to take care of your pets on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the times of 10:30 AM-1 PM and 3:30-7 PM. Also, Saturdays I am free until 6 PM. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. Whether in my home or the client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and lots of attention. I also send regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have taken care of different pets for as long as I can remember. I would love to help walk and play with your pet! It would truly be the highlight of my day! I am currently a student and so I am available Mondays before 12, W/F before 12 or after 3pm, Tues/Thurs before 12:30 or after 3pm. I have no animals in my first floor apartment and will provide constant attention to your animals! I will take them on constant walks and play with them consistently!
About: I grew up with dogs and previously had one of my own, so caring for them feels very natural to me. I genuinely love animals, and when a dog is in my care, their comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priority. Because I work from home with a flexible schedule, I can be present throughout the day and keep routines consistent, whether that means meals, potty breaks, playtime, walks, or medications given at the same time each day. I know how important consistency is for dogs, especially when they are staying somewhere new, and I do my best to make them feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for. I can’t currently have a dog of my own full-time because my work sometimes requires travel, which is part of why pet sitting means so much to me. I treat every dog in my care with the same attention, affection, and responsibility I would give my own. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so pet care fits very easily into my day. I can be home throughout the day for play time, feeding, bathroom breaks, and walks rather than leaving pets alone for long stretches. Your pet’s comfort and safety would be my priority. I live in an apartment, but I have two fenced-in patio areas for safe outdoor time, and I can also provide supervised walks and activity during the day. I’m careful about following each pet owner’s routine and instructions so their dog feels as comfortable and settled as possible. I’m also happy to send updates and photos while your pet is with me. I know it can feel nerve-wracking to trust someone else with your pet, so I carry pet-care insurance through Pet Sitters Associates for added peace of mind. My coverage applies to the services I offer, including sitting, walks, drop-ins, and boarding at my apartment, and includes expanded coverage for client pets plus additional property/bond coverage.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - University Park
Tiffany is the best! I have a big leash reactive dog and am not comfortable with most people walking her or taking care of her for me. Tiffany made me feel at ease leaving my dog- she is on top of communication and provides updates! Will definitely be booking again :) thank you Tiffany!!

Chaka was absolutely fantastic! I originally booked for just my dog, Pixie but my sister ended up needing someone to watch her dog as well and Chaka was happy to do it. I get very nervous about leaving Pixie with anyone outside my family because she's my baby but Chaka did great with her! I will certainly be booking again!

Sasha was fabulous!! She was great with our French bulldog, Eloise! Truly!! Eloise had had a traumatic experience with another pet sitter (not a Rover sitter) and Sasha swept in and saved the day. Eloise loved her from the first minute! Sasha really understands dogs temperaments and is smart!! We will definitely use Sasha again!!

Kelsey was so wonderful with our pets!! She walked into a difficult situation on a rescue mission after a negligent pet sitting service (not Rover). It took a while for Eloise, our French bulldog, to warm up to Kelsey due to the previous bad experience but Kelsey never gave up and she and Eloise became friends quickly. Kelsey was kind, caring, competent and attentive. We will be using Kelsey again for sure!

Erica has been consistently an excellent sitter for my pups. I have felt comfortable leaving them in her capable hands for extended periods at this point, knowing I am going to come back to happy and healthy dogs. She communicates well and keeps me informed and I'm appreciative to have found someone that I can trust them with!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in University Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
