I work daily but my hours are quite varying. For this reason, I accept same day bookings and cancellations as it is difficult to know my schedule further in advance. However, I am almost always available anytime before 8am and after 4pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. Perfect for that weekend get away or just an extra long walk.

I live in an apartment but very close to many parks that I pass on my walks everyday. I usually walk twice a day for 30 and 60 minutes respectively just for my own enjoyment! This makes it very doable if I need to house a pet for a short-term situation. In a client’s home, I am very thorough with following directions and never afraid to check in and ask if I am unsure of a decision. I am always respectful of someone else’s space and comfortable with any cleaning, feeding, bathing, etc. that comes with the care of the animal.

It would be very beneficial for me to understand their behavior around other dogs, their exercise limits, and their eating habits. It would also help to know if their dog should be kept away from dog parks or if that is something that is encouraged. I am very understanding of every situation and pet behavior so I appreciate every small detail if that is what makes you the most comfortable!
A typical day
As someone who works fully remote and on an asynchronous schedule, I would be very attentive and playful during the day. I personally prioritize getting outside and being as active as possible every day which is something I would love to do with a dog. I am right by Klyde Warren park so would take them through the grass and under shady trees on our walks.

Pet care experience
I have grown up with at least two or three dogs at all times. This ranged from young puppies that were not potty trained to older dogs that needed more hands-on care. I have also grown up with three cats my entire life and people always joke that I am quick to connect with them. Although I am not a professional, I have the experience and love for animals that will ensure they’re treated as family. Originally from Southern California, I frequently volunteered with Doggie Bonez, a company where volunteers walk and play with rescue dogs. This gave me plenty of experience working with a wide range of dogs, including ones that were deemed more difficult. I also used to run a little dog walking service in my neighborhood as a child. I graduated from Southern Methodist University after studying biology. I also worked as a nanny for a family with one small and two large dogs that I regularly cared for as though they were my own. I am excited to try this app as I have recently moved out on my own and have been missing being with my pets back home.
