“Rory always takes great care of my cat, and sends detailed updates with lots of pictures every check in! I know my cat will be happy and well cared for with her!”

“First time using Rover and I couldn’t be happier. One of our dogs is slow to warm up to strangers, but Matthew was great with her. He sent pictures of happy dogs right away and i was able to relax the rest of the evening knowing they were in good hands. He even left the tv on a dog channel overnight with soothing music. Such a sweet touch!”

“Elise was helpful in booking additional hours at the last minute and she clearly connected with our dog during our short stay. She was responsible around the details of his care and I hope she can help us again soon!”

“Maggie was the first Rover sitter I ever booked with, and I have been a repeat customer since. She is so easy to work with, and she goes above and beyond in all aspects. She is very communicative and intentional in her care for animals. I receive adorable pictures of my cat and very thorough updates each visit, so I always feel comfortable and trust that my animal is in incredible hands with Maggie. The litter box stays fresh, her bowls stay refilled and clean, and she spends her visits playing and getting to know your animal as much as they’ll allow. My cat once had a small accident outside the litter box and Maggie didn’t hesitate to deep clean the mess. I also once had to leave town for a last minute family emergency, and Maggie was incredibly understanding and helpful with scheduling visits If you’re a first time Rover user or frequently book on the app, I highly recommend Maggie.”

“Carrin helped us with our 2 golden retrievers. She was reliable, communicative, our dogs looked happy in the photos and when we got back, I could tell they’re in good hands and were enjoying their time with Carrin. She was quick to respond, very friendly, and I’m just really happy to have found her and will definitely ask her for help again. Thanks Carrin!”

“Jane was great with my cat and sent prompt responses to all of my messages. She gave helpful updates and sent photos and videos, which was appreciated. She was patient with my girl, who is very shy with new people :) thank you, Jane!!”

“Brittnee is an incredible cat sitter! She provided the most adorable pictures of my kitty, Mila, and communicated so well while I was away for work. I felt completely at ease knowing my girl was taken care of. Will definitely be using Brittnee again in the future!”

“Kim has been our dog sitter for years and the only person we really trust with our ornery old man. We call her his second mom and know he’s in great hands anytime we leave. Kim is sure to update us if anything is wrong and sends plenty of photos of our pup every visit! She even kept my outdoor plants alive while we were on vacation in the 100+ weather! Highly recommend to anyone wanting their dog to be loved on like their own while your away!”

“Kelly went above and beyond for our drop in visits. She brought in packages that had been delivered. Gave photo updates in detail of each visit. Communicated professionally and efficiently. I am very very satisfied w her services and can’t wait to use her again when we leave! Thank you Kelly!!!”

“Adri is always amazing. this was the 3rd time she stayed w my cats, they love her ! thanks Adri for all you do for us and for the xmas gifts!!!! Pri, Lana and Coachella”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - University Park
We had such a wonderful experience with our cat sitter! She was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made our cats feel comfortable and cared for, and we really appreciated the pictures and updates she sent during her visit—it gave us such peace of mind knowing they were doing well. There was also an unexpected issue with our apartment call box, but she handled it so smoothly and professionally. Rather than letting it become a problem, she found another way to get in through the leasing office and made sure everything went seamlessly. She was kind, attentive, resourceful, and clearly genuinely cared about our pets. The whole experience was so easy and stress-free for us. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and wonderful to care for their pets. We will definitely be using her again!

Devorah has ruined me for any other sitter! She is amazing. Always shares pics, makes sure my old kitty is as cared for as my young more friendly one, and gives great write-ups for each visit. Plus, she takes care of our space and our fur babies like they’re her own. It’s magic. Always feel like our kitties are is the best hands while we’re away, so vacay is stress free. Highly recommended! Devorah is the BEST.

Renee was the biggest help! Last minute scheduling, and she still made the process very smooth. We weren’t able to do a meet and greet, but it truly wasn’t necessary as my pup seemed to be very comfortable with her during each drop in. She provided check ups and pictures as needed and feisty might just have a new favorite lol thank you Renee.

Edward is so nice and very good with my pets. I’m super happy with his service and hope I could find him earlier. I don’t need worry about anything with my dogs and cat in those whole 6 days that I’m out of town. He is nice, professional, and responding very quickly!

I absolutely love Katie & totally trust her with my Frenchie & house. She went above & beyond for us... she is very easy to work with, shows up on time, follows all directions, and really loves animals! Katie is very good at communicating; I am honestly so happy to have her to help with Rocko!! ***** 5 Stars *****

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
