“Such a great experience! They were so easy to communicate with and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, they took amazing care of my dog and treated them like their own. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Adri is always amazing. this was the 3rd time she stayed w my cats, they love her ! thanks Adri for all you do for us and for the xmas gifts!!!! Pri, Lana and Coachella”

“Catherine was so great with my boy! She was punctual, communicative, took lots of pictures, and went above & beyond to make sure he was taken care of. He is big and can get a bit skiddish outside/with new people but she was able to handle him really well. I appreciated that she cleaned up when he had an accident in the hallway, and even made an additional stop by my place to make sure he went #2 when he was too scared to go earlier in the day. I would definitely book with Catherine in the future :)”

“This was my second time to use Kyle while I was away and he did a fantastic job with my dog Kenzie who is 14. He’s very communicative and honest person. I know Kenzie feels safe with him! He takes awesome pics on the walks! Also turned on animals with music on my TV, to give Kenzie some noise in my apartment so she didn’t feel alone. Will definitely use again!”

“Sidney was amazing for watching my cat Mikey! She gave him lots of love during her visits, was on time, and was super communicative with updates. Will definitely use her again.”

“Tiffany was great! She arrived on time for both drop in visits and kept me updated throughout. Very responsive and reliable. I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. Thanks Tiffany :)”

“Brittany and Tadas were great! Came on time and frequently sent updates. They asked if there was anything in particular they needed to know to care for Monty and were wonderful with how shy he can be with new people.”

“Erica was great!! We have a shy, slightly difficult older dog and Erica was amazing at being patient with her! She was super responsive and kept me updated on the situation the entire time! Highly suggest!”

“Chaka is the best dog sitter. This is my first time ever using a service like this and she made things so easy with the process of getting to know my dog (K2) and me from start to finish. She's always going above and beyond and her care for my dog is level 1000% thank you Chaka!!!”

“Nour, as always, was so attentive with our senior cat! She checked in right away when she noticed a potential health concern, and it really put our minds at ease to know he was in such great care. 🥹 Thank you, Nour!”
“Kelly was the absolute BEST! She sent me tons of pictures of my kitties and sweet little videos while I was gone for the holidays. It made my heart so happy. 100% will book with her again!”

“Kelsey was EXCELLENT! I had her watch my cat for a few days and he has never been as calm/happy when I returned from some time away than the weekend when Kelsey looked after him. She was so easy to communicate with and her responses were always quick. I will absolutely have her watch my cat again when I leave town for a few days :)”
“We recently moved to Texas and finding a good pet sitter was one of my biggest worries. I have 2 cats, one of which needs daily medication. We had our first out of town trip this weekend and Bethany was able to ensure that Mia got her medicine and sent some lovely pictures / updates. Would highly recommend!”
“Farhan provided great service, showing up on time and making sure my dog got plenty of exercise and attention. I would highly recommend Farhan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. Would hire again 💯”

“Kimberly was excellent with my cat Stormi! Stormi is typically very very shy but somehow Kimberly made Stormi incredibly happy and playful! She was amazing with her and Stormi instantly took to her! She got great pictures and updates with each visit which was much appreciated!!!! When I returned I could tell Stormi had been properly cared for which is all you could ever want! Total peace of mind 🫶🏻🙏❤️”

“Carrin is absolutely amazing! She took exceptional care of my cat, Knightnight, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to choose her. Knightnight absolutely adores her, and it’s clear she has a special way with animals. From now on, we know exactly who to call whenever we need a sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Maggie was the first Rover sitter I ever booked with, and I have been a repeat customer since. She is so easy to work with, and she goes above and beyond in all aspects. She is very communicative and intentional in her care for animals. I receive adorable pictures of my cat and very thorough updates each visit, so I always feel comfortable and trust that my animal is in incredible hands with Maggie. The litter box stays fresh, her bowls stay refilled and clean, and she spends her visits playing and getting to know your animal as much as they’ll allow. My cat once had a small accident outside the litter box and Maggie didn’t hesitate to deep clean the mess. I also once had to leave town for a last minute family emergency, and Maggie was incredibly understanding and helpful with scheduling visits If you’re a first time Rover user or frequently book on the app, I highly recommend Maggie.”

“Katherine was absolutely amazing - she took such good care of Pepper and gave me the best updates every single day. She really took the time to bond with her and give her all the loves while I was. I so appreciate her and would absolutely book her again!”

Nour was so so great with my cat!! She sent detailed reports with lots of pictures every time she went to see him, and even stayed longer than the time I had booked on several days! She was very communicative and I felt very comfortable leaving my baby under her care. Definitely recommend!!

Keira has watched my cat, Suki, many times over the past several months and is easily the best sitter I have ever had. She goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is safe and comfortable and pays attention to the smallest details. On her most recent weekend with Suki, my apartment flooded with rain. Keira spent a hour moving half of my furniture so she could pull back my rug and dry every part of my apartment, and then put everything back where it was. Expect lots of pictures, detailed updates, and a happy pet with Keira. I cannot recommend her enough.

Devorah was a great Petsitter to my cat. My cat was very well taken care of. Devorah went above and beyond to make my cat comfortable and happy. She sent me daily updates with pictures. She also played with my cat and gave him a lot of attention. It was nice to come home to a happy cat!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
