“I wanted to share my experience with Rover, particularly with Nicole, as this was my first time using the platform. I was initially apprehensive and nervous about entrusting my pets and home to someone new. However, after coming across Nicole’s profile, I decided to reach out to her. She had excellent reviews and many returning clients, which put me at ease. Nicole was kind enough to meet with me before I officially hired her. She was very warm, and my pets instantly seemed to connect with her. Confident in her care, I went ahead and booked her services, and I am so glad I did. Throughout our trip, Nicole’s visits and check-ins were thorough and reassuring. She truly went above and beyond any expectations I had. Thanks to her dedication and attention, I felt completely at ease being away from home. I will definitely be one of her recurring clients as long as she is available. If you’re considering a sitter on Rover, I highly recommend booking Nicole – she truly is amazing!”
“Maria was wonderful! She visited my home the night before our trip to meet my pets and learn a few things, which made me much more at ease about leaving for a week. She cared for my dog and cat, checked on my outdoor cats, and handled small tasks I hadn't considered, such as adjusting the house temperature when the outside temperature dropped significantly and then rose again. Thanks to her, I could relax and enjoy my trip, confident that my home was in good hands. I will definitely request to book Maria again when the need arises!”

“I could not say thank you enough to Cam!! She went above and beyond for our fur babies! And at a short notice! She made sure they were so loved 🥰 They may even love Cam more than us now! If you want to make sure your sitter goes above and beyond, book with Cam!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since childhood as owner but also the strays that come along! I have also volunteered at the animal shelter and adoption agency and not afraid of the pet duties that come with dogs and cats. I work full time remote Monday to Thursday. Available any time Friday to Sunday for this weekend trips that come up. Walks or dog sitting while working is not an issue for me or my employer. I do have one dog and one cat, but can crate pet if needed and have their own space & to fulfill their needs. Yard is not fully fenced so walks will be main source of outside time.

“Latisha was excellent to work with! One of her greatest strengths was her communication! Every day she visited our two cats, we received 10+ photos of them. This greatly decreased our concerns about leaving them for the first time. She communicated clearly about any minor schedule changes so that we were always in the loop!”

“Demi was awesome with Milo! He is a 5 month old very energetic goldendoodle. She checked in on him and walked him during the day and was great about providing updates and pictures! This was my first time using rover, and I could not have asked for better care! Highly recommend using Demi :)”

“Madelyn was great! Great communication, sent updates and photos everyday and I knew my dog was in good hands. She took great care of Sky and will definitely recommend to others!”

About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats and have owned both! Pet sitting isn't just a job for me, it brings me joy! I've been around animals all my life and I am also bilingual! I work part time only 8am to 1pm so I am fully available after that! On Saturdays I work 9-3! I'd love to fit in pet care anywhere after! I care for my 2 cats with constant love, attention, play time and stimulation! They are very well loved! I have also taken care of my family dog for almost my entire life! No matter what age or breed I am %100 capable!
“Karina did an awesome job! She was reliable and trustworthy coming to our home to check on our boys and play with them while we were out of town. We will be using her again!!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner all my life, so giving proper and loving care has always been apart of my daily routine! For the past year, I have had the opportunity to dog sit for family, friends, and clients caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities! I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic medications if needed, and making sure each dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always strive to provide dependable, attentive care so both pets and owners can have peace of mind. Hi!! My name is Chloe! I am recently a highschool graduate and I wanted to find a fun way to save for my future education in college! Pet care fits very well in my schedule because I prioritize planning my day around the pets I’m caring for! I make time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention to help each dog feel comfortable and cared for. I believe in sticking to each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe while their family is away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I follow each pet’s feeding, potty, exercise, and medication schedule while giving them plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment, and I always pay close attention to their individual needs. I also enjoy sending photo updates so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Min Q. went above and beyond taking care of my Beaux. She was very nice and kept me up to date with updates daily. i would highly recommend her services,”

About: I cared for my senior dog while alive and volunteered at a shelter, playing with dogs, maintaining feeding schedules, and returning them to kennels timely. I currently have an open schedule, as I recently graduated from High School. I am able to accommodate all feeding/exercise routines. I can be available for your pet 24 hours a day. Pets are allowed to free roam inside and out as needed. I can also crate you pet as requested. My backyard is fenced for protection. There is a nearby park for frequent walks.
About: Retired so I'm able to devote plenty of 1-on-1 time to care, play, and snuggle with your precious family member as if they were my own furr babies. I've also had my own dogs, like Norwegian Elkhounds, Labs and various mutts, as well as, small ones like Maltese snuggle buddies. I've also had the privilege of cats adopting me (felines pick their humans 😆) and entrusting me to care for 6 of their adorable kittens. Since I'm retired and other then working out for 1 hr 3x week and grocery shopping 1x week, I integrate my personal life around your pet and can cater to how much time they need to feel comfortable and loved. If you require my services in your own home, I'm a pretty quiet, clean retired and responsible adult. If you need boarding at my home, i have a clean, large backyard with a protective 8 foot fence for plenty of exploring and other fun activities.
“Ashley is so communicative about what is happening with the pets! I felt so reassured and I knew my dogs were well taken care of. I love my dogs so much and I felt like she does too- very spoiled! Thanks, Ashley”

“Ashely is amazing! We found her on the Rover app and asked that she come meet our pups as one is very anxious around new people. She was so quick to appease us and our dogs took to her almost immediately. She sent photos and kept us updated through out the weekend. We will definitely be reaching out again if we have to be away from our pups.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs through friends, family, and personal experience. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, administering basic care, and giving plenty of love and attention. I’m always eager to learn your dog’s unique needs and preferences. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays and have most weekends free, allowing me to provide attentive, loving care and plenty of quality time for your fur babies When babysitting pets in my home, I have a fully fenced backyard where they can safely go outside when needed, and I live in a great neighborhood for walks. I always follow the pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care.
About: I've been a foster carer for various greyhound organizations here (ATX and DFW) and in Australia. I get the hounds that are cat safe and get them used to living with cats. I'm always fostering, which is why I cannot take in more dogs for sitting, but I can do pop-ins. Before I fostered greyhounds, I used to petsit for friends' parents. I love to scritch ears, make up stupid songs for them, and play on the floor. My current pack consists of two sighthound mixes and two middle-management cats. Am I Katy or Mary? Both. The joy of going by either the first name or the nickname. You can call me Katy. The IRS can keep calling me Mary ... and please, if you're from IRS, don't call me. I am currently working from home and would love the excuse to get out and walk or, when it's really too hot, engage in play in the backyard. I am mindful of the various personalities I could encounter. I understand that not all pets want to play. Some want to chill and know that you're there. Others need to get that energy out. When doing pop ins, I would be mindful of what their humans say.
About: I’ve always taken care of dogs since I was little , me and my daughter love dogs and looking for something to keep us busy during the week I’m a stay at home mom so I have an open schedule. I’m home all day everyday and we always go to the park .. so this works perfect for me I have a fenced back yard , also have 2 dogs that they can play with but both have cages and can be put away anytime as needed .

About: I've helped friends, family, neighbors, co workers and many more by dog sitting, walking, feeding, and giving medicine to their pets. Have experience with a wide range of breeds including Great Danes, Cane Corsos, Rottweiler, Frenchies, Cavaliers, German Shepherds and many different cats lol. Also have experience with houses that have both dogs and cats. Currently working a hybrid schedule so am able to work my schedule around by helping and visiting families who need that help with their pets. Have always been inquisitive and go the extra step by asking any specific needs and researching before hand the breed so I can be best prepared for the pet and give them the best care and attention possible.

About: Hello, my name is Sherri. I am a mom of six, Nonna to three grandbabies, and a mom to two fur babies: a Bassdore (Basset hound/Lab mix) named Abbey and a tabby named Birdie. Although I am new to pet sitting, I have cared for dogs (mostly) and cats throughout my life. As adults, my late husband and I have owned numerous breeds of dogs, from Chihuahuas and German Shepherds to Siberian Huskies, an Akita, and several mixed breeds. I also frequently look after my daughter's three dogs when she goes out of town. I've used Rover and other pet sitting services many times when I travel, so I understand how reassuring it is to know your pets are well cared for while you’re away. I am available for Drop-In Visits and Boarding. My kids (still at home), ages 9 and 18, love all animals, so your fur baby will never lack attention! I am currently not working, so I have some flexibility. I do have to take my high schooler to school and pick him up from after-school activities, and I have to be home to put my 3rd grader, who is special needs, on the bus and be home in the afternoon to get him off the bus. For Boarding: I have a spacious fenced yard with a covered patio. My Basset Hound Lab mix, Abbey, enjoys playdates. If your pet prefers solitude, I can close off the living room and dining/kitchen area to keep them separated. My boys, who are still at home, are 9 and 18, and they will give lots of love and attention. For drop-in visits, I am happy to provide any necessary care and handle extra tasks such as watering plants, retrieving the mail, or taking out the trash. However, I cannot do walks due to a wonky knee, which limits my walking distance.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Garland is $20

April was so wonderful with my cat! I was very worried about leaving him because he takes medication. But April's quick communication--and her love of cats--put me at ease. She was able to give him his meds without issue and sent me lots of pictures. I will absolutely book with her again!

I have tortoises. They are very special to me. Miranda step in and gave them attention they needed while I was away. She came every day as requested, cleaning the enclosure, giving fresh water, feeding them and just being there for them. My husband was pleased at how pleasant and thorough her visits were. I would definitely recommend Miranda for your peace of mind while away from your own pets.
This was our first time leaving our dogs with anyone outside of family, and Matthew made the entire experience stress-free. He knew exactly what to share in his check-in updates and always kept us informed, which helped us feel completely at ease while we were away. He went above and beyond in caring for our pups and we are beyond thankful. It was clear from the updates and photos that they were getting plenty of attention and great care. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with him again!
Our 4, high-maintenance kitties were very well cared for while we were away. Yung was very thorough with her updates at each visit and was delightful to work with. She even cleaned up after our messy little kitties. Definitely recommend and would gladly hire again!

Min was wonderful and gave us peace of mind while we were away from our kitties! She was very communicative and provided us with pictures, videos, and updates on food/medicine/water/litter. The cats seemed to love her, and we will absolutely reach out again in the future 😊

I could not say thank you enough to Cam!! She went above and beyond for our fur babies! And at a short notice! She made sure they were so loved 🥰 They may even love Cam more than us now! If you want to make sure your sitter goes above and beyond, book with Cam!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
