“Ashley is amazing! Booked her to check-in on our four cats and we received so many pictures and great updates. Loved to photoshoots! I could also tell our shy cat warmed up to her immediately. Will book Ashley for pet care again!”

About: I've grown up taking care of animals for years including both my own and for friends and family. I have taken care of all different ages of dogs and am comfortable with any kind of personalities and follow special instructions very closely. I'm very patient and make sure pets always feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you're away! I'm currently working full time as a barista which means my schedule is consistent and easy to work around. I am typically available in the afternoon and evenings. Your pets safety is always my top priority. I follow all instructions carefully, keep a close eye on routines, and make sure every animal feels secure and comfortable. In your home, i respect your space, keep everything tidy, and maintain a stress free environment. You can count on consistent communication and reliable care every time.
“Amela is very friendly and my mutt LOVED her. She is punctual and ensures she follows any instructions you may have for your fur babies needs. If you are looking for a kind and friendly pet carer, Amela should be your pick!”

“Lindsey was absolutely amazing with our Cobalt. She took such great care of him and kept us in the loop during every visit. She is very kind and caring and we will be booking with her again!”

“We wouldn't trust anyone else with our furry friends. Tiffany is so caring, and does so much more than just feed, water and clean the litter box--we currently have a very shy cat, and he gets incredibly lonely when we are away -- without fail, she is able to coax him out and give him the loving he needs. Tiffany is simply the best!!!”

“Kellie was so great with Milo! She came to meet him ahead of time and get a clear understanding of his needs. She was very reliable, communicated effectively, and shared such cute pictures!”

About: I grew up with dogs. Not just in my household, but in my cousins’ and grandparents’. I learned from a young age how to take care of dogs. These past 4 years especially, I have started pet sitting for friends and family alike. I can walk, bathe, and play with dogs. I also know how to administer medication, if needed. I am a big lover of animals. Any animal under my care is automatically going to be treated with the utmost care. I am currently on summer break from my college classes. The only time I would not be able to pet sit or walk would be Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30. I have a fenced in backyard. I do have a pool, but I will never leave your pet unattended in the backyard. I have a cat, but she can easily go into the main bedroom comfortably.

“Darlene is the real dog whisperer! We’re so fortunate to have found such an excellent sitter for our pups! She takes the best care of them! I will request her services time and time again!! She’s the best!!”

“We appreciate we found Kendyl so much!❤️ We love she has lived her entire life surrounded by animals since her dad is a vet.. That definitely gave us peace of mind when did the meet & greet as new pet owners. She is very patient and adjust depending on your needs.”

About: I have a cat that I absolutely love! I treat all animals with kindness and respect and take great care of them. Growing up I had a dog for 16 years. Working as a teacher, I treat other people’s kids and pets with kindness and respect, and I can also verify a background check. I am a mom of two children, and also a fur baby! Being a teacher I have summers off so I mostly available in the summer. I am also available to help working professionals during weekday evenings and weekends. I have a yard enclosed with a fence so I’m happy to take care of your pet in my home. I have a home in Wylie Texas with a fenced yard for your pet! I am also able to come to your home and take care of your fur babies. I can keep water and food clean and take care of your pets. Bathroom needs.
“Dawn is an awesome pet sitter. She is a great communicator and is very reliable. She always takes great care of my cat when I am gone. Whenever I leave home, I always try and book with Dawn!”

“Jessica was very communicative and took great care of my cat while I was gone for Christmas. She made sure to communicate any hiccups but overall my cat seemed very healthy and happy when I got back.”

About: I have dog sat for some friends with both big and little dogs. I also have 2 dogs currently, they are both small dogs but have big personalities. I don’t currently have a job, but I am attending college classes that I take during the week. My schedule can vary depending on the semester so my class times are always different. I live at home with 2 small dogs that I help take care of. One is a chaweenie and the other is a “teacup” yorkie. They get a little bit of food in the morning and then everyday at 4pm they get the rest of their food. When taking them outside to potty, I go out with them and make sure they don’t fall in the pool, get snatched up by a bird or try to slip out of the fence.
“Kenya was very sweet with our dogs and they took to her right away. She was willing to drive out to our place to help. When we had a miscommunication, she was very responsive and took great care of the dogs. Thank you!”

“Samantha was amazing with our kitties! She went above and beyond to make sure our cats were comfortable and cared for while we were away for a week. I highly recommend her!!”

Amela was amazing!! This was our first time using this service and was very worried about leaving my fur baby in a strangers care. From the first moment I met Amela I knew she was the perfect fit for our family. I got photos and videos daily as well as updates on his behavior. She was always on time and professional. Most of all I could tell she loved her job and our dog! I never worried about him or our home. I highly recommend Amela and will be using her for all future trips!

We had a wonderful experience with Ashlyn! She took such great care of our dog, who doesn’t like to be alone, and made sure she got plenty of playtime and attention. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos — it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She clearly loves animals and treats them like her own. Highly recommend!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wylie. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
