I am typically available in the afternoon and evenings. Your pets safety is always my top priority. I follow all instructions carefully, keep a close eye on routines, and make sure every animal feels secure and comfortable. In your home, i respect your space, keep everything tidy, and maintain a stress free environment. You can count on consistent communication and reliable care every time.
“I can’t say enough great things about Jaclyn. We decided to hire her for our crazy Great Pyrenees and all of our indoor cats. She was very punctual and we returned home to very happy babies. I had initially asked her to provide photos of them and she sent me photos of individual pet with every visit!! On top of that, she also spent quality time with them for their mental stimulation. We will hire her again and recommend her to all the anxious mothers who hate to be away from their furbabies. Thanks to her, we were able to spend some time away from home with ease of mind 🥰”

“Chelsea is AWESOME! She is very punctual and communicative, and the pups just love seeing her! She captures some great photos too! Thank you Chelsea! See you again soon!”

“Darlene was amazing! I was a paranoid momma being our first time away from him. She made us feel comfortable allowing us to enjoy our trip. She send photos and commentary each visit. Darlene even noticed the small things, the wind/storm blew our fence off track and she immediately notified us. Sully was lucky to have Darlene to love on him.”

About: I am a dog person. I love pets. Especially, dogs. I often help my friends and neighbors take care their pets, they trust me, and rely on me waking and feeing pets! I am doing a part time job. I have a flexible and lots of time to help people take care or feed their pets. I am enjoying my life now ~ jajaa I have a fenced and clean yard if you want your pet stay at my home. I only do want I need to do to your pet if I have to go to your home. My responsibility is making sure your dog is safe, clean and feeded.

“Professional and knowledgeable. Our dog was having a skin issue before we left. I talked with her in detail before we left and communicated with our vet Tiffany communicated with us the whole time and had no problem caring for him, getting his medication, and treatment. He was all healed up when we got back. Our other pets love her and she is great with all of them.”
“Ashley is amazing! Booked her to check-in on our four cats and we received so many pictures and great updates. Loved to photoshoots! I could also tell our shy cat warmed up to her immediately. Will book Ashley for pet care again!”

“Lizzie took such good care of our two pups while we were on vacation. We have never left them for more than 4 hours, so being away for a week was a very fearful concern. Ollie and Opie feel in love with Lizzie and we really enjoyed the pictures from her visits. We will definitely reach out to Lizzie next time. Thank you Lizzie”

“Kellie was so great with Milo! She came to meet him ahead of time and get a clear understanding of his needs. She was very reliable, communicated effectively, and shared such cute pictures!”

“Courtney is absolutely amazing!! She's very attentive w my baby, treats him as her own, and always goes above and beyond. My little Leo was super receptive to her and now she's our only go-to!”

About: My favorite way to spend my day is going on long walk with my dog Otis and having a lazy day with my cat Mable afterwards. I would love to be able to take care of your pets while you are at work or out of town! I work full time remotely and I am a mom! I'm always home so I can easily check in on your pets during my work day. I'm currently working full-time, fully remote. I already have the time to go on daily walks with my dog. I am available to go for walks in the morning, lunchtime, and in the evenings. I would love to have your dog join my daily walks!! Also, I am available in the morning and evenings to do drop-ins. In the mornings, I am available 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. In the evening, I am available from 5-8 p.m. Unfortunately, I do not offer boarding at my home at this time. I have a newborn so I cannot have extra pets around at this moment.
“So grateful I found Joe! My new cat had never been left alone and I refused to board him. I was nervous and wasn’t sure how’d he handle another big change in schedule so soon. Joe made me far more comfortable, he was always on time, my cat even went to the front door around the time Joe would come so he was obviously comfortable as well. I will absolutely be asking him back when needed.”

About: I believe dogs are the best “people,” with dog owners coming in a close second. (And yes, I adore cats, too. But if I just had to pick one, I’d be team dog.) I’ve never not had a dog in my entire life. Growing up with beloved family dogs, I got my first official dog, Babar, a Weimaraner, during my senior year in college. Then came a pair of Italian greyhounds (Tag and Tootsie). Next, a standard poodle (Paulette), then a second standard poodle (Ginger), and finally, a toy poodle (Tanner). Currently, we are down to just Tanner and all ten pounds of his big dog personality. I remember being a young professional and wishing I could have help with my Italian Greyhounds when I had to work late. I’ve had friends who’ve had health issues and couldn’t take their dogs out for a walk. Acquaintances with a family crisis in need of support for their furry family members. Cat parents out of town seeking someone trustworthy to check in daily. I understand the need and the desire for someone you can trust. I live in Lucas, Texas, and have two teenage sons in high school. My husband works in business. My primary job is mom, and I also do creative writing. I’ve found getting out and loving on others’ pets to be the perfect accompaniment to my writing. Read: salve for writer’s block. I especially love getting outdoors (sitting at the computer and writing all day doesn’t work). I’m up for long walks, short walks, going out in the backyard to play, or simply checking in. I’m driven. I graduated with honors from Ole Miss and earned my MBA from Millsaps College. I’m dependable. I worked in corporate America for over ten years. Most importantly, I’m passionate about all animals, big and small, domesticated or wild, furry or not. Ok, maybe not snakes, but I know they serve a role in the grand scheme of things. I’d love to meet you and your four-legged friend to see if we are a match.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
