“Courtney is amazing. I could not have asked for more from someone. She cared for my companion with much love and always did her best to do her best. She is willing to do more than just walk your companion; she gives them love and attention. She treats them very well. I never had an issue with her attendance either; she was extremely reliable! If you are in need of someone to care for your companion; consider Courtney, you will not be disappointed.”

“Zoila is very responsible and reliable - plus my lab mixes adore her and look forward to every visit - also she is proactive sending updates and pix, plus updates us if there are any changes or concerns she may notice - all of that is so comforting when we travel/ I strongly recommend her and have years of experiences w dog sitters - she is the BEST!”

“Lizzie is so great with our dogs!! We even forgot to provide a leash one day and she went back home to get one so they could still have their walk. She’s so generous with her time! We love her!”

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens, etc. my entire life, I’d like to say that I have my whole life’s worth of experience with pets, being that I have had them since before I could walk:)) I’m currently going to community college part-time, usually based in the mornings but can change. Other than school I am always free to do the job!! I will give your pets plenty of love and cuddles while also adapting to their daily needs and activities. I can even brush your dogs’ teeth if you’d like.

About: Hi everyone! As a lifelong dog lover, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’m reliable, caring, and detail oriented, and I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, affection, and consistent care. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly so they feel as comfortable and stress free as possible while you’re away. I recently finished my last year of school, so I have a very flexible schedule this summer and am available to provide attentive, reliable care for all of your pet's needs. My apartment has a fenced dog park and a large field next door for your pet to run, have lots of fun, and get plenty of exercise!
About: Hello! I am a working mom with a 3 year old springer doodle. I have 3 years of experience as a pet owner and 2 years of experience as a sitter. I am familiar with caring for large dogs and female dogs in heat. I will love on your animals like my own. I am great with communication and will provide several pictures during my visit. I am available to help most evenings and weekends! Please provide at least 1 day notice but same day care can be accommodated on a case by case basis. Happy to help! I have a clean and safe home with plenty of fenced in back yard space for your pet. Please note, I have a 3 year old neutered male springer doodle in my home.

I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including both weekdays and weekends. This allows me to provide adequate care for your pet! About: We have taken care of pups from 2 months to senior dogs so understand the care/play needs of pups at different ages and different breeds. Me and my husband are remote workers (so if you wish, you could have two caretakers for the price of one) that can easily provide care for your pets. At this moment we are choosing to go to the environment of your pet/pets to support their sense of comfort and familiarity. We will abide by whatever needs you may have to maintain the security and respect of your home and pet.
About: I believe dogs are the best “people,” with dog owners coming in a close second. (And yes, I adore cats, too. But if I just had to pick one, I’d be team dog.) I’ve never not had a dog in my entire life. Growing up with beloved family dogs, I got my first official dog, Babar, a Weimaraner, during my senior year in college. Then came a pair of Italian greyhounds (Tag and Tootsie). Next, a standard poodle (Paulette), then a second standard poodle (Ginger), and finally, a toy poodle (Tanner). Currently, we are down to just Tanner and all ten pounds of his big dog personality. I remember being a young professional and wishing I could have help with my Italian Greyhounds when I had to work late. I’ve had friends who’ve had health issues and couldn’t take their dogs out for a walk. Acquaintances with a family crisis in need of support for their furry family members. Cat parents out of town seeking someone trustworthy to check in daily. I understand the need and the desire for someone you can trust. I live in Lucas, Texas, and have two teenage sons in high school. My husband works in business. My primary job is mom, and I also do creative writing. I’ve found getting out and loving on others’ pets to be the perfect accompaniment to my writing. Read: salve for writer’s block. I especially love getting outdoors (sitting at the computer and writing all day doesn’t work). I’m up for long walks, short walks, going out in the backyard to play, or simply checking in. I’m driven. I graduated with honors from Ole Miss and earned my MBA from Millsaps College. I’m dependable. I worked in corporate America for over ten years. Most importantly, I’m passionate about all animals, big and small, domesticated or wild, furry or not. Ok, maybe not snakes, but I know they serve a role in the grand scheme of things. I’d love to meet you and your four-legged friend to see if we are a match.
About: I have been a professional full time dog trainer for over 20 years. I opened my home to in-home boarding and day care a few years ago and absolutely love it. We treat all the animals that stay with us like they are part of our family until their loved ones come back! I send multiple updates a day, pictures and videos as well. I have many references I can offer you as well! It’s very rare that someone is not home with the animals. We spend our days going outside to play (weather permitting), and playing inside as well. The dogs are allowed to veg on the couch (if that’s allowed at their home!), and enjoy spending time with us! We have a 3 acre fenced yard. The dogs love it very much for running and playing. They are never outside unsupervised for any amount of time! Our property is perfect for endless dog fun. 🐾
About: Hi! I’m Dani. I’m a Rover sitter with lots of happy fur baby experience, and I absolutely LOVE getting to know new pets and their personalities. Whether your baby wants nonstop playtime, all the cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ve got them! I’m excited to meet you and your fur babies and give them all the love and attention they deserve! I work from home and am super lucky to be with a great company that allows tons of flexibility in my everyday schedule. Due to this, I accept same day bookings. I enforce schedules and do not bend the rules if you have some in place. I keep a clean, smoke-free home and can puppy proof if necessary. Your fur baby will have somewhere warm and comfy to sleep and I keep extra dog beds around the house just in case they need options!

About: I have had dogs all my life and I have been taking care of friends and family dogs for about 10 years now. I love dogs, they are the best part of this world. They're not only our companions and the one who receive us with a wagging tail when we get home, they are our best friend. I like to give dogs unconditional love, because I know they will give the same love back to me. I have my own little furry friend, her name is Mieka. She has been with me in the most difficult and lonely times of my life and I love her. I like to take her out on long walks and also take her to the park. I like to play fetch with her or sometimes I like to chase her around the house or the playground. If you want your dog or pet to feel love, have fun and not be lonelywhile you are away, I am the perfect guy for you.

“Kayla does such a great job with my girls!!! One of my pups is very social, the other is afraid of everything and Kayla makes sure they are both super comfy with her and she has earned their trust.”

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life and in college I looked after my roommates' and friends dogs of all sizes and temperaments ranging from pomeranians to german shepherds. I've also housesat pets for extended periods of time. I'm currently freelancing, so I have ample time to look after and entertain your pets! I'm available on weekdays to housesit from 8am to 6pm! On the weekends, I can walk your pets or even take them out for a couple of hours weather permitting. I will ensure that your pet is taken care of just like how you would care for them! I am very proactive regarding communication, both positive and negative, and I make sure to ask clarifying questions if I have any doubts to ensure I understand the pet's needs and requirements! I live in the suburbs so my environment is very quiet, however I do not have a fenced backyard so I would prefer not to host any pets unless they are mostly indoor animals.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
