“Jimmy did an amazing job taking my two dogs out for walks! Both of my dogs came back home very happy. Jimmy is very polite and communicates well. He even checked with me to see if he could walk my dogs early before the weather turned bad, ensuring they got their walk. I will definitely be using his services in the future!”

“I can’t recommend our dog walker enough! Adrian consistently went above and beyond every single visit. Not only was he always on time, but he also sent a text before arriving. What really stands out is the level of care he provides. He took extra time to clean our dog’s paws after walks, which is something we truly appreciate, especially on muddy or rainy days. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and treats them like his own.”

“Our dog, Freya, has a good amount of energy. Taylor did a great job working with her, and taking her for a MUCH needed walk. Now, Freya is happily napping 🙂 Thank you, Taylor!”

“Monica has been so helpful as my two pit bulls adjust to their new life in Texas. They immediately warmed up to her and look forward to their time with her everyday. She is sure to follow very specific instructions and last minute changes to the routine.”

“Katie was friendly and reliable. I could tell she really cares about the pets she is taking care of. She did a great job with my pup. Will certainly be using her services again. Thank you, Katie!”

“Madison has been wonderful with Oogie! She’s reliable, communicative, and always so kind. Oogie is happy and relaxed after every walk, and we really appreciate the level of care she gives. Highly recommend!”

“Highly recommend Zachary! He has been walking my dog Koda who is quite high energy and is very young and strong and has been pulling on the leash. He’s been so good to work with me to try and get him trained to walk better. He is reliable, caring, and truly does go above and beyond to make sure my dog is happy and well taken care of. It gives me such peace of mind knowing my pup is in such great hands.”

“Morgan is amazing Finny was initially scared and non trusting but Morgan continued working with him and his trust and now I think they may be best friends! I no longer worry about leaving him knowing he’s in great care with Morgan.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life of all different temperaments, for friends and family along with doggy daycares and even my own dog! I can walk your dog, drop in and say hi or stay with them in the comfort of their home, whatever is needed, I can help. My current schedule is free and flexible so I will have plenty of time to play and take care of your pets any day of the week! I currently have a 6 year old female pit Bull that is very dog reactive and dog selective, because of this she requires extra training and a special life style. She is crate trained, leash trained and knows many different commands, which has made me comfortable working with all types of dogs. I am comfortable crating your dogs if needed along with walking them and possibly teaching them a couple tricks they may not know!
About: I grew up with dogs and am experienced with their care. I managed all of the care for my own dog after she was diagnosed with bone cancer and underwent a limb amputation and chemotherapy. I am competent, caring, and detail-oriented. I will provide your dog(s) with love and affection and follow all instructions given. I am also great at sending updates! I just completed a PhD and am currently between jobs, so my schedule is flexible for dog walking, drop in visits, and house sitting in your home. In your home or neighborhood, I will follow all instructions given (requesting more if needed) and be sure to leave your home tidy and secure!
About: I have 9 years of pet care experience with my own dog, other people's animals, and as a volunteer at the SPCA of Texas. I have taken care of many animals in my years of pet sitting in including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, and guinea pigs. It is not easy for animals to scare me. I'm currently working a part time at a veterinary hospital and going to school part time. I'm not a very busy person, so I will have plenty of extra time to look after your furry little family member. I keep dogs on a leash at all times when walking. I like to follow a list with times for when certain things need to be done. I like to try and keep a schedule that is close to what each pet is used to on a daily basis.
“An amazing dog sitter! They were reliable, caring, and treated our dog like their own. I loved getting updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved them. I highly recommend!”

Eloise has been absolutely wonderful with Tiny! 🐾❤️ She is kind, caring, dependable, and great about communicating with me after their walks. I especially appreciate how attentive she is to Tiny’s needs and how she adjusts their walks during the Texas heat to make sure Tiny stays safe, comfortable, and happy. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Tiny is in such caring and responsible hands while I’m at work. Tiny really enjoys her time with Eloise, and I can tell Eloise genuinely cares about her and enjoys spending time with her as well. Finding someone you can trust with your dog means so much, and Eloise has truly been a blessing. I’m incredibly grateful for all of her help and the wonderful care she gives Tiny. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker! 🐾❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
