“An amazing dog sitter! They were reliable, caring, and treated our dog like their own. I loved getting updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved them. I highly recommend!”

About: I love all dogs and all dogs love me. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them. I’ll take good care of your pets and give them lots of love and affection. I love being around all dogs and cats. It’s hard to find someone who will take care of them like you want. I can do that for you. I have a very small fenced in yard but I take my dogs for a walk every day to get sunshine and exercise. I can do that for you too.
About: I’ve never lived in a home without a pet. I’m a large animal lover by nature, but also love the little ones with the big personalities 🥰 I currently have two fur babies of my own- a 5lb Turkish Vann cat named Bobbi and a 90lb goofy Plott hound named Summer. I’m self-employed and work from home so lots of flexibility in my schedule. I have time to make sure your babies get the care and attention they need. I have a fenced yard with a friendly large dog. Our cat loves dogs but she sleeps most of the day so she’s not an issue.
About: What sets me apart is the amount of care and attention I give to every pet. As a student studying Animal Science with plans to attend veterinary school, I have a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and common concerns that can arise. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and safe while you're away. I'm patient with both young and senior pets and am comfortable caring for dogs that may need extra attention. I treat every pet like family and strive to provide the same level of care and compassion that I would want for my own animals. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I only work on Tuesdays and fridays, and I'm currently on summer break from school. This gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I'm available throughout most of the week to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I provide a safe, pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play. I have two friendly and playful dogs of my own, but I understand that every pet has different comfort levels. If you prefer your pet not to interact with other animals, I am happy to keep my dogs separated. I do my best to accommodate each pet's individual needs and routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while in my home or yours.
About: My daughter and I have cared for animals for many years and truly love what we do. For the past two years, we’ve volunteered with the Richardson Animal Shelter, helping care for dogs with different personalities and needs. We fostered a Pit Bull Terrier mix and helped her find a loving forever home, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. We also rehabilitated a shelter dog who was underweight and anti-social due to past trauma, helping her become healthy and trusting again. At home, we have a sweet 2-year-old Maltipoo who is treated like family. We’re experienced with basic dog training, building routines, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. We’ve also provided overnight and extended puppy care for my daughter’s teacher on several occasions. What makes us different is the amount of patience, love, and personal attention we give every dog we care for. As a mother-daughter team, your pet gets double the attention, affection, and companionship throughout the day. We treat every dog like our own and always prioritize their happiness, safety, and comfort! Our availability is flexible throughout the week and depends on scheduling and time of day. We’re available some weekends with advance notice. We do our best to accommodate each family’s needs and keep our calendar updated for accurate booking availability. We provide calm, attentive, and structured care tailored to each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort level. In our home, pets are treated like family in a clean, safe, and low-stress environment where they have space to relax, play, and feel secure. We maintain a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and rest so pets feel stable and comfortable. Because we have experience volunteering with the Richardson Animal Shelter and fostering/rescuing dogs with different temperaments, we are especially mindful of anxious, shy, or high-needs pets and adjust our approach to help them feel safe. We always prioritize safety, secure handling on walks, and careful supervision during all interactions. Our goal is to create a trusting, peaceful environment where every pet feels protected, understood, genuinely cared for and loved!
About: Animal lover with years of pet experience. Reliable, friendly, and ready to give your furry friends all the love and care they need. I have two golden retrievers of my own and we love going on walks together! I pet sit my neighbors five cats anytime they go to vaca so I have all the experience of pet sitting others furry friends!! I am currently a full time student at the University of Arkansas so my weekday afternoon are pretty full but I am happy to take a doggie on a walk after my classes, after 3 most days, and completely open on the weekends to sit and walk and play with your animals!! Being in a college apartment, I am unable to have them stay with me at my place but I am more than happy to come sit at your lovely home and take them on walks and to doggie parks! I had a Great Dane back home so very comfortable walking big and little dogs on a leash.
“Jackson (my cocker spaniel) is VERY suspicious of new people. It takes him a long time before he is comfortable. I let Lawence know this upfront and he assured me that it would be fine. Before Jackson started his walk schedule, Lawrence met up with Jackson and myself to introduce himself. Jackson was still quite suspicious of this new person but was not hostile or mean. Lawrence started walking Jackson and at first, Jackson was hesitant to go walking with this stranger. After about 2 weeks, Jackson knows Lawrence, even knows his car when he pulls up and wags his stub in anticipation of his walk. I appreciate that Lawrence took it slow and let Jackson define the terms of their relationship....LOL.”

“Tessla had great communication and I trusted Basil with her for daily walks without any concern! Super thankful she was able to help out while I recovered from surgery!”

“I can’t recommend our dog walker enough! Adrian consistently went above and beyond every single visit. Not only was he always on time, but he also sent a text before arriving. What really stands out is the level of care he provides. He took extra time to clean our dog’s paws after walks, which is something we truly appreciate, especially on muddy or rainy days. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and treats them like his own.”

About: I'm an elementary teacher that would love to come help out with your pets. I have had dogs, cats, and small pets my whole life. I am happy to help with potty breaks, walks, playtime, snuggles, cage changes, and vacations! I currently mom to two of the cutest Guinea Pigs in the whole world. I am an elementary school teacher, so I am available by 3:30pm weekdays. I am also available on weekends whether you are out of town or will be away from home for an extended period of time. I will come to your home to care for your dog, cat, or small animal. I also have a separate room available for small pet care in my home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
