About: I have 1 year of hands-on experience working in an animal shelter in Mexico, caring for dogs and cats. I helped with bathing, feeding, and keeping animals calm and happy. I’m passionate about pets’ wellbeing, patient with every personality, and quick to learn how to meet each animal’s needs. Your pets will be safe, loved, and well cared for in my hands. I’m available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so I can fit visits into your cat’s usual routine. I can also take dogs for walks in the mornings while caring for your cat at home. I adapt to each pet’s needs to keep them happy, safe, and loved. I provide safe, loving care either at my home or yours. I follow routines, offer food, cuddles, and playtime, and make sure pets feel happy, calm, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Our dog absolutely loves Zoe. I am pretty sure he is secretly hoping we leave town again soon. She was so easy to communicate with and we loved seeing the photos from their walks. Zoe is the best!”

About: I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality, being outdoors, and building a trusting relationship with both pets and their owners. I’m reliable, attentive, and caring, with a fenced in backyard and pool. I’d love the opportunity to become someone you and your pets can count on. We lost our beloved dog, Luca, and deeply miss the companionship, unconditional love, and joy that having a pet brings. Spending time with other people’s pets feels like a beautiful way to give that love while receiving some in return. We’ve always treated our dogs as family, and we would care for your pet with the same love, attention, and respect as if they were our own. The day is thoughtfully balanced with exercise, play, enrichment, and downtime, ensuring your dog feels happy, secure, and well cared for. And, of course, they'll receive plenty of affection, belly rubs, and kisses along the way. Your pet will receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout their stay. My home features a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely explore and play. For dogs who enjoy the water, and with your permission, I also offer supervised swim time in my pool. I treat every dog like a member of my own family, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. Your pup will enjoy daily walks, playtime, and enriching activities that provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. My goal is to provide a calm, loving environment where your dog feels secure, has fun, and receives the same level of care, attention, and affection they would at home.
“Ashley is great. She is always on time and very responsible. Our dog loves her and it’s always excited to see her. She has a very keen awareness of what he likes and doesn’t like, and what he needs. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: I'm a dog lover, volunteer at the SPCA. I had a dog growing up and now spend every spare moment spoiling and loving on my rescue dog Eddie! He's generally scared of other dogs -- welcoming other dogs into our home isn't an option at the moment, so I'd love to help care for your pup! I know firsthand how comforting it is to know your dog is in good hands when you can't be there, and I will care for them as if they were my own. I have great flexibility in my schedule. I request one day's notice, but you can also try reaching out to me on the same day! I cannot care for pets in my home -- my dog is scared of all other dogs, unfortunately. But I'm happy to walk your pup or do drop-in visits in your home.
“Sitter for me twice once I was in Cali and another to see my grandmother on thanksgiving always very nice and my dog seems very happy durring the sitting and after. She’s sheets!”

About: I have owned dogs and cats. My whole life currently and I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, love, and LOTS of attention. I’ve honestly never met an animal I didn’t love, or who didn't love me! I’m only working part time and am completely remote. I have the flexibility to provide dependable care and quality time for your pets. Their comfort and happiness are always my priority. I will follow your instructions, keep your pet’s routine , and make sure they feel comfortable, and loved . Building trust is very important to me. I’ll communicate regularly, send updates and photos, to put your mind at easy while your away.

I’m patient, responsible, and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own I have a flexible schedule and will do my best to work around your pet’s needs. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I’ll always keep you updated while you’re away Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your instructions, keep a close eye on your pet, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Phenomenal team. Very personable and experienced. They took my puppy in as their own and went above and beyond with care and communication. They even had some great care tips and were wiling to keep him overnight and take him to the vet. Would definitely book again.”

About: I’ve recently used rover to help with my cat, and had an amazing experience and would love to give back to others and do the same! I’m around over Christmas and New Years and wanted to help people out that might need it while they’re traveling over the holidays. Reach out and let me know what you need and we can see what we can get done! I have a guest room I can use as a private space to cat sit. Looking for a way to give back and have fun while doing it :) I work from home and have flexibility to help out during the day or for longer visits when needed! I just need to know the schedule and can work to fit it in. I know every pet is different in what they need, so I just need to understand what your baby needs from me and will work to make them happy and comfortable while you’re away!
About: *If you would like me to do multiple 30 minute vists or walks, please book drops ins/walks. If you book house sitting please be aware it’s only one visit per day and I do not stay over night at a clients home* Hello, my name is Courtney and I’m your pets new best friend! I’ve always been told I have a “way” with animals and it has helped me create an understanding of them, their behavior and psychology. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a household with multiple dogs, cats and even exotics. The care and well being of animals is something I’ve been passionate about my entire life. In the future I’d like to go into the animal care or behavioral field so I’m trying to get as much experience in with as many different animals as possible! Special needs/seniors/etc are not a problem for me. I can guarantee that I will treat your dogs (or cats) with the same love and respect I show my own pack.
About: Hi! I'm Bayli and I currently work remote full-time for a legal services company. I've grown up with pets, mostly dogs, and I've been an animal lover my entire life. I've taken care of multiple dogs at once, and I’ve interacted with and owned multiple large breeds like boxers, pitbulls, mastiffs, great danes, ridgebacks, hounds, aussies, you name it! I've also had cats, hamsters, fish, birds, and iguanas, so there is no animal that I won't take excellent care of. I’ve worked in doggy daycare and boarding facilities, and I like to be outside, stay active, and make sure that every animal has the best life they can! I really enjoy spending time with animals in general, and I understand that people's pets are their family, as mine are to me. Pets, especially dogs that need lots of attention and exercise, can be a lot of work, so I'm happy to help! I work full-time doing remote work for a legal services company, so my schedule is fairly flexible, especially for house sitting. As for walks and drop ins, I am available before 8 am, after 5 pm, and midday between 12-3 pm. I am available most weekends, as I am not a big traveler. I currently have two orange cats and a red-footed tortoise with me here in Dallas, and I have 3 dogs back home with my family in South Florida. If I were taking care of a pet in your home, I would treat them with all of the care and love I provide to my pets in my home and to all animals always. They’ll make a new best bud!

About: As a vegan & animal rights advocate of nearly a decade in addition to being a cat dad (& former dog dad), I am very passionate about animals. I would love to care for your animal companion(s)! Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me on walks & drop-ins. As a freelance photographer, caring for animal companions tends to easily fit into my mixed schedule of partial-remote editing work & various on-location photoshoots. Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me to assist on walks & drop-ins. I care for animal companions as best needed with a focus on meeting the animal’s needs, paying attention to an animal’s body language, all while heeding any specific instructions from their human companions. Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me on walks & drop-ins.
About: I am an absolute dog lover! I have grown up with dogs and love being around them. We go on walks often so we can get our daily dose of exercise. I will care for your dog as my own. No pups on the furniture but I have two plush dog beds for them to rest their furry heads. I look forward to spending lots of time with your pup and overdosing them with belly rubs. I love capturing moments, so expect to get lots of pictures from me. I’m currently back at work and my hours are usually 9-5. A few days a week I am able to work part time so I’ll be home more. I have a fenced yard so they can spend time outside. We split custody for our very friendly lab so occasionally your pup will have a friend to play with.
“It was great having someone walk my pups while I was out of town. I know they enjoyed their walks. The only complaint I have is inconsistency with being on time and not getting a heads up beforehand that you would be late or early.”

About: I have been taking care of my dogs since I was a sophomore in college and now I am in graduate school. My dogs are my life and I treat them how I would any person. I am stern, yet gentle with my training, we go on daily walks and play time is all the time. I can show you better than I can tell you. My dogs are my daily routine. I get up at 7am faithfully and take both dogs to the restroom, then it’s feeding time, then it’s play time in the apartment, then it’s nap time. My dogs are on a strict schedule and love it. This is everyday, non stop until the right results are permanent. My apartment complex has a back yard fenced dog area. The puppies are safe and free to roam or run as they like and please.

Wow !! Buddy and I have enjoyed a number of afternoon walkers but Leana has been absolutely without equal. She’s ON TIME - every time - communicates and Buddy clearly enjoys her company. You should feel completely comfortable relying on her - unless it’s between 12:15-1pm 😊😊🙏. She’s busy then. 😊

Ann has been amazing through the years. Lily loved her and got excited to see her every time. She helped even when Lily was diagnosed with ALS. Navigating the diagnosis such as picking her up to put her in the wagon and going for a walk, helping her use the bathroom. Lily eventually became paralyzed in her hind legs. Ann didn’t let that stop her for caring for my baby as if it was her own. Words cannot express how grateful I am for all the help and love she gave Lily. RIP sweet girl… if I get another puppy I will DEFINITELY hire her again!! 💯

Britney was absolutely incredible to my girl! She truly has a gift. My sweet baby is my emotional support animal and have separation anxiety when we’re not together. Britney changed that around and had outstanding communication and love for my girl while I was away for a trip. Thank you Britney and will be booking again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
