“Kirby was awesome! Stayed with our dog, in our house, for several days while we were out of the country. She made sure to send us pics and give us updates! Was very respectful and in general just did a great job! We even got a thank you card from her when we got home ?”
“Haley is the best sitter we have had! She takes the time to meet and understand your dogs’ needs first. I really appreciate all the updates she provides-videos, photos and messages so you know what is going on with your babies. She is extremely kind to my dogs and communicates very well. Highly recommend!”

“Christy is the kind of Rover sitter you can truly trust. She showed up right on time and stayed with our crew for the full four days, and they were never left alone overnight. She took excellent care of them—she was attentive, calm, and engaged, making time to play with them every day. I’d absolutely call her reliable and consistent, and we would book her again without hesitation.”

“Courtney and John were awesome, if you’re looking for dog sitters who goes above and beyond Courtney and John are the sitters to choose. They were awesome with communicating and sent updates every day while we were on vacation as well as responding super quick whenever I needed. While on vacation we ended up being stuck at the departing airport for more than 10 hours Courtney and John went above and beyond to make sure all my worries were taken care of if we couldn’t make it home. I cannot not say enough good things about this amazing duo! They were absolutely spectacular and left my pup with a smile on his face when we returned home from vacation. Definitely choose Courtney and John for the next time your pup needs a sitter.”

“Morgan was wonderful to work with. She took great care of our dogs and house and communicated daily with updates and photos of our pups. We already have plans to use Morgan again in the near future.”

“Alice was amazing! Her communication throughout the day was stellar, she was always swift to respond my texts and sent photos and videos at consistent morning, afternoon evening milestones. All those efforts really allowed me to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing my little one was in good hands. I will definitely be a regular.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristie! She took absolutely incredible care of our three dogs and treated them like they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely loved while we were away. Kristie also looked after our home with the same level of care and attention. Everything was spotless and exactly as we left it when we returned. On top of that, she was unbelievably flexible and accommodating when our travel plans changed at the last minute. She handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and zero stress. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly compassionate to care for your pets and home, Kristie is the absolute best. We would recommend her without hesitation and can’t wait to book her again!”

About: As a full-time work-from-home professional, your pet will enjoy constant companionship and a highly predictable routine throughout the day. I specialize in providing attentive care for both energetic puppies who need consistent potty schedules and senior dogs requiring gentle pacing and precise medication management. My home is a calm, hazard-free environment designed for safety, and I intentionally limit bookings to one family at a time to ensure your dog receives my absolute focus, regular exercise, and undivided affection. As a lifelong animal lover with over 5 years of pet care experience, I treat every furry guest like a member of my own family. My goal is to provide a safe, high-energy, and stress-free environment tailored specifically to your pet's unique personality and daily routine. Whether your dog craves long, structured neighborhood walks, intense fetching sessions, or just a quiet spot on the couch for endless belly rubs, I ensure they receive constant attention, love, and mental stimulation. I am extremely detail-oriented, highly communicative, and will text you frequent photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away with absolute peace of mind. Whether hosting your pet for a fun-filled staycation at my house or caring for them in the comfort of their own home, safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. In my home, your pet will enjoy a fully secured, hazard-free environment with plenty of cozy spaces, separate boundaries for safety, and constant supervision. When checking on or sitting at your home, I strictly respect your property, follow all security protocols, and replicate your pet's exact feeding, walking, and medication routines to minimize separation anxiety. I keep emergency vet contacts ready at all times and send frequent, reassuring updates so you always know your best friend is safe, happy, and loved.
“Jill is very reliable and has a great can-do attitude. We have two English toy spaniels, both with one eye and both with health problems. One of them has an "attitude" and can snip if asked to do something she doesn't want to do. Jill just called her "sassy" and worked hard to earn her trust. We feel like we can count on Jill. We highly recommend Jill.”

“Absolutely Wonderful! Natalia is both professional and caring. She communicated throughout her stay with text and photos of our fur baby. We are 100% thrilled with her and can’t wait to have her again.”

“Lynnsee was great! She took such great care of Milo. She sent a lot of photos to let us know how Milo was doing. It was the first time we'd used a pet sitter, and I will definitely use Lynnsee in the future!”

About: I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely love animals. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, and I take the time to understand each pet’s individual routine and needs 🐾❤️ I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability, so I can easily fit pet care into my day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting, and I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and care. I treat every pet and home with care and respect. I follow the pet’s normal routine, keep their space clean and safe, and make sure they get plenty of attention.

“She was amazing! House under construction, my schedule was chaos and i started my day at 6 am. She was flexible, able to handle construction workers and a dog in a bare bones house, and worked with me when i ended up being 4 hours late. Absolutely a repeat customer”

“Hailey was really great!! She was very calm with the dogs and very dependable. She stayed in our house with our 2 dogs, and it was obvious the dogs liked her. She also left the house spotless!”

“Molly was absolutely amazing. She communicated clearly and provided daily updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She was also fully prepared to administer medications to our two senior dogs without any issues. All of our babies clearly loved her, and we came home to a clean house and happy, healthy pets. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care she provided! 🐾”

About: I've taken care of dogs for most of my life since I was a teen. I myself was the proud owner of a miniature schnauzer for over 16 years, so I understand the desire to take excellent care of your pet, ensuring they are fed, walked, and most of all, loved! I would take care of your pet like they were my own. I'm currently searching for a full-time position for work, so I'm able to be more flexible during the week than what is typical when I'm working full-time in an office setting. That being said, I am flexible to take care of your pet during the work day or in the evenings for the time being! I am a calm and easygoing individual who would be able to follow instructions you leave for me in order to provide the same structure and routine for your pet that they typically have with you at home.

About: As a vegan & animal rights advocate of nearly a decade in addition to being a cat dad (& former dog dad), I am very passionate about animals. I would love to care for your animal companion(s)! Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me on walks & drop-ins. As a freelance photographer, caring for animal companions tends to easily fit into my mixed schedule of partial-remote editing work & various on-location photoshoots. Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me to assist on walks & drop-ins. I care for animal companions as best needed with a focus on meeting the animal’s needs, paying attention to an animal’s body language, all while heeding any specific instructions from their human companions. Occasionally, I will have my co-sitter, Courtney (10yrs+ Rover experience, pictured in profile), with me on walks & drop-ins.

“Grace is really great! She stayed overnight in my home with my dog, Toby, this week. She was on time and easy to communicate with. She also took great care of Toby and my place! I would definitely reccomend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter and will use her again.”

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for animals for many years, including pet sitting for both dogs and cats. I had a dog of my own for 14 years, which gave me extensive hands-on experience caring for a pet throughout every stage of life, including the additional patience and attention that senior pets require. I also have experience administering medications and providing more involved senior-pet care. I administered subcutaneous fluids to my own dog every day for two years, so I understand how important it is to carefully follow an established care routine and pay close attention to a pet’s individual needs. While I’ve never had a cat of my own, I’ve cared for several cats belonging to friends and family and have always loved their unique personalities. Whether I’m caring for a puppy, a high-energy dog, a senior pet, or a cat who needs some time to warm up, I take the time to understand each animal and provide consistent, attentive care. My schedule is flexible for the rest of the month. Starting Aug 31st, my availability will be limited to Tuesdays from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and all day Friday-Sunday. I’m also available for overnight house sitting. My schedule allows me to be present and engaged with the pets in my care rather than simply stopping by when I have a free moment. I’m happy to work with each pet’s established routine, whether that means walks, playtime, meals, medication, or simply providing companionship and a calm presence. I understand that consistency is especially important for pets, so I make it a priority to follow their normal routines as closely as possible. My approach is centered on consistency as I know how important routines are for our pets. I prioritize following each pet’s routine carefully, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. For drop-in visits, I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, bathroom breaks, medication, play, and companionship while giving your pet plenty of individual attention. For house sitting, I’m comfortable staying overnight in your home and maintaining your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. For doggy daycare, dogs stay with me at my apartment, which is located in a complex with plenty of outdoor space for walks and bathroom breaks. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, high-energy dogs, senior dogs, and dogs who prefer not to interact with other dogs. I’ll always take your dog’s temperament and individual needs into account. I’m also experienced with administering medications and have experience with more involved care from caring for my own senior dog. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s specific needs and care instructions ahead of time so that we’re all on the same page. Above all, I understand that leaving your pet with someone else requires trust. I’ll treat your pet, your home, and your instructions with the same care and respect I would expect for my own.

Christy is great! She was super sweet to Graham and very attentive-even flagging that he was itching his ear more than usual while we were gone and able to help administer meds. Our house was also left super clean! We would love to have her watch Graham again!

I’m out of what to say with reviews- Dylia is our go to because she is the best. She stays with our pups and gives them undivided attention. She’s thorough with her updates and our pups look so happy when they’re with her. She always follows our instructions and ensures our dogs are safe when with her. She respects our home and leaves it spotless. We go on trips and miss our dogs but we don’t have constant worry looming over our heads because we know they are in great hands.

Jasmine was wonderful with our pets during her stay from July 19–22. She was kind, dependable, and made us feel comfortable leaving our pets in her care. She stayed overnight in our home, which gave us peace of mind knowing they had companionship and were not left alone. She communicated with us daily and sent thoughtful photo updates, so we could see that everyone was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We truly appreciated her care and communication and would gladly book Jasmine again.

Nicole was such a gem to watch our three high needs dogs! She was so good with our old man, our Velcro dog, and our Pitbull that is scared of her own shadow. They are not an easy crew as they all require a lot of attention, but she cared for them as if they were her own which made me feel calm and confident to leave my babies with her! She kept us up to date with many photos and left our home clean. Would 10000% hire her again!!

Doloris and Don were absolutely amazing! They were incredibly responsive, always sent updates, and made sure to keep my pup safe and secure. I never had any issues or second thoughts, and when I travel next, I will be looking forward to having them watch my puppy. Could not recommend them enough!

We asked Matthew to watch one of our dogs for a week while we were out of town and he was fantastic! We have used him for walks and drop-in visits before and our dog Stetson loves him! His communication is excellent and he makes the whole process so easy. Beyond thankful we found a trustworthy person to watch the fur baby!!

Leana is amazing! She went above and beyond while watching Tex. She sent multiple pictures a day, stuck to his routine and made sure he was fulfilled every day. Definitely eased a lot of my dog mom anxiety. She also left my home so clean! I will definitely hire her again and can’t thank her enough!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zacha Junction walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zacha Junction maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zacha Junction choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zacha Junction. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
